Eso pasa con nosotros, siempre estamos buscando darles el mejor contenido, el mas innovador, trayendo hasta tu pantalla lo mejor de la moda y diseño mexicanos.

Empezamos en 2010 con la revista on-line en www.runwaymx.com, en 2012 con Runway Radio en Frecuencia Cuitlahuac en Linea de UNITEC y ahora con la versión para dispositivos móviles, la cual presentamos ante ti el 25 de Octubre y es esta misma que tienes en tus pantalla.

Para esta primera edición recopilamos los mejores contenidos que hemos desarrollado a lo largo de estos casi dos años, en los cuales para celebrar nuestro primer aniversario nos otorgaste una nominación a los premios IMAS como medio de la gente, lo cual nos ayudo a saber que el esfuerzo de cada día vale la pena.

espués de tantos contratiempos, fechas pospuestas y canceladas, ¡por fin! Las 3 mejores amigas de la preparatoria nos pudimos reunir en un cafecito bohemio en la Colonia Condesa. No nos veíamos desde la boda de Andy, hace 7 meses. Después de ponernos al tanto de nuestras vidas, surgió, el tema que casi nunca puede faltar: hombres. Romina nos contó su catastrófica relación con un arquitecto, despreocupado, cero familiar, sin interés alguno por presentarle a su familia y a quien en algunas ocasiones lo había escuchado hablando con su mamá y lo hacía de forma grosera; ella comenzó a sospechar que su galán salía con otra mujer, y lo confirmó, no sólo con una sino con otras dos, y exclamó –¡¿pero qué podía esperar de un tipo que trata mal a su madre?! Era lógico-. Yo por mi parte no me preocupo mucho por intimar en temas familiares, así que me dirigí hacia Andy, la recién casa, y le dije –tú no tienes de qué quejarte, querida! Tu esposo además de guapo, responsable, trabajador, se nota que te ama y es buen hijo (al menos siempre nos había presumido eso de él). De pronto a mi amiga le cambió la cara, y nos soltó tremenda confesión. Nos dijo que precisamente eso de ser tan buen hijo es lo que le estaba trayendo muchos problemas. que le cocinaba riquísimo, le planchaba, le lavaba, la casa la tenía impecable, le había pagado una educación en escuela privada; pero dependía de él para que la llevara al súper, al doctor o hasta comprarse ropa, ya que ella había decidido dejar de manejar porque “era muy peligroso a su edad”. Durante el noviazgo, mi amiga consideraba esas acciones como un vivo ejemplo de un hombre responsable, lo cual a ella le garantizaba un matrimonio pleno. Ahora esto se convirtió en una pesadilla, ya que su esposo quiere compensarle todo a su madre, anteponiendo las necesidades de ella a las de mi amiga. Incluso va a utilizar su crédito de vivienda para comprarle un departamento a su mamá y ellos seguirán rentando. Así que lo que parecía que sería un matrimonio feliz, ahora es una especie de triángulo amoroso. Obvio nos quedamos con la boca abierta y un sabor amargo ¡no hay garantía del hombre perfecto! Ahora resulta que también debemos estar atentas al entorno familiar en el que se desenvuelven los prospectos de galán.

inally after a lot of trouble, me and my 2 best friends from high school reunited to have a coffee in Colonia Condesa in Mesxico City. We had not seen each other since Andy got married, 7 months ago. After catching up with our lives, the topic that almost never misses came to the table: men. Romina told us about her terrible relationship with an architect. He had no relationship with his family. He didn’t worry about anything and sometimes she overheard him talking to his mom in a rude way. She started being suspicious that maybe he was dating another woman, she confirmed it, not only was he dating another woman but two! She said, what could she expect from a guy that treats his own mother in a bad way? I’m not so worried about family issues. So I directed the talk to Andy the newlywed, and told her -”you have nothing to complain dear! Your husband besides of being handsome, responsable and hard worker you can tell that he really loves you and also he’s a good son” (or she used to say)Then all of the sudden, my friend’s face changed, and she confessed. She told us that exactly that (being a good

son) was giving them a lot of trouble. His mom, single mom, dedicated her whole life to her son after retiring (really young by the way.) So she cooked, she ironed, she did his laundry. She had the perfect clean house, she paid for his education in a private school. But she depended on him to take her to the supermarket, to the doctor or even to buy clothes, because she had decided to stop driving due to the fact that it is really dangerous at her age. During their engagement my friend used to consider those actions as a perfect example of a good and responsable man, which guaranteed her a perfect marriage. Now it has became a total nightmare. Her husband desires to compensate everything to his mother, putting her above my friends needs. He’s even going to buy an apartment for his mom while they are still leasing. So what appeared like a happy marriage, now is some kind of love triangle. Of course we were shocked. There is no warranty of a perfect man Now it turns out that we also have to be aware of the family enviroment of our future boyfriends in order to get a glance of how our future together could be.

ese es precisamente mi caso, sucede que tropecé de nuevo con la misma piedra, la tercera vez que anduve con el mismo hombre, aquél con quien era formula comprobada que no debía estar. Por supuesto todo terminó de la manera habitual, él poniéndome el cuerno y yo cayéndole en el asuntito. La primera vez que terminamos fue él, porque no se veía a futuro conmigo, acto seguido: meses después me llamo para preguntarme que tenía mi ex novio que él no tuviera (con el que anduve después de que me dejó) terminó llorando en el teléfono aquella noche… La segunda vez que terminamos fue porque el señor me estaba pintando el cuerno y no conforme hasta por facebook declaraba lo bella que era la vieja aquella con una base mal hecha y nariz de bruja, que aparte se disfrazaba de Sailor Moon a sus casi 30 años, gracias… Y esta tercera vez que terminamos fue ¡drama total! El 14 de febrero se me ocurrió ir a sorprenderlo, esperándolo a la salida de su curso, le mande un mensaje, otro, lo llamé, una, dos, tres, cincuenta veces y nunca contestó…y la bruta de su servidora con los regalos para la mamá y la hermana en el carro, más el suyo por supuesto, sobra decir que era claro que, shame of shames, me puso de nuevo el cuerno…

Y entonces, me he preguntado por meses ¿cuál es mi deficiencia adquirida? ¿Por qué volví tantas veces con un hombre que desde el principio demostró que no vale la pena? ¿Por qué permití que pasara todo eso? ¿Por qué las mujeres nos hacemos estas cosas? ¿Será falta de amor a nosotras mismas? ¿Conducta cultural aprendida? ¡Qué pasa! Finalmente llegué a la conclusión de que el amor como toda adicción provoca importantes riesgos para la salud (como bien dice Issa López); entre esos riesgos encontramos: enamorarse, así es, mi deficiencia fue el amor que sentía por él, el cual me cegó. ¡Pero recuerden! Si un hombre no enloquece por ustedes y no demuestra que las adora, entonces no vale la pena que le den su amor, y mucho menos sus lágrimas. Pero no me arrepiento, fui tan feliz a su lado cuando “se portaba bien” que valió la pena, ahora me repito mil veces que nunca volvería con él, pero uno nunca sabe, después de todo eso mismo me dije las 2 primeras veces…

nd that’s exactly my case. The third time I was with that same man, the one that was already proven I should not be with. Of course everything ended as usual. He cheating on me, me figuring it out. The first time we broke up it was him. He decided that he did not picture himself by my side, next thing you know: he called me to ask what my ex boyfriend had that he didn’t (the one that was my boyfriend after he dumped me) he ended up crying on the phone that night.... The second time we broke up it was because he was cheating on me, and if it wasn’t bad enough, he claimed how beautiful the other girl was. Even with that witchy nose and a horrible perm, who also enjoyed to cosplay like Sailor Moon being close to 30 something years... And this one, the third time it was total drama! February the 14th I had the wonderful idea to surprise him, waiting for him outside his computer class, I sent him a message, another one, I called him once, twice, 50 times and he never answered...and there I was, all wrapped up with gifts for him, his mother and his sister in my car, I believe there is no need to say that it was clear that shame of shames he cheated on me again...

Since then I’ve been wondering for months: which is my problem? Why did I go back so many times with a man that showed from the begining that he wasn’t worth it? Why did I allow all of this? Why do women hurt themselves like this? Is it lack of love of ourselfs? Is it something we learned from culture? what’s wrong with us? Finally I figured out that love, like every addiction provokes huge dangers for health. Among those we can end up falling in love, yes, it was my problem. I was so strongly in love with that guy that it ended up blinding me. But remember! If a man does not go crazy about you, and does not show that he adores you, then he does not deserve your love and least of all your tears. But, at the end I don’t regret it, I was so happy by his side “when he behaved” that it was worth it. Now I repeat myself that I’ll never get back with him, but you never know, after all I said exactly the same the first 2 times.

ceptémoslo: no podemos evitar ardernos cuando nos cortan (o cuando cortamos al peor es nada…obvio, porque nos puso el cuerno o por patán). ¡Tenemos todo el derecho! No sólo somos una cara bonita, también tenemos sentimientos. Hay muchas cosas en ese proceso que son válidas y comprensibles, pero ¿en qué momento empezamos a quemarnos? Les voy a dar unos ejemplos de errores que he cometido… ¡Ríanse, pero aprendan!

1. He creado cuentas ficticias en Facebook y Twitter para buscar a la desgraciada que me bajó al tipejo en cuestión, sólo para darme cuenta que está fea… Claro que puse a varios de mis mejores amigos y amigas a compararnos y llegamos a la conclusión de que él se lo pierde. Pero de eso a empezar a stalkear a esta mujer...aún sigo tentada a escribirle dos que tres cosas con esas cuentas.

7. Me gasté un dineral en un bar sólo para mujeres, tomándome fotos con streapers para publicarlas al día siguiente en mi FB y que mi ex se enterara que me la estaba pasando muy bien sin él. Más me ardí cuando unos minutos después el susodicho publicó fotos románticas con su nueva novia.

2. He hablado pestes de mis ex. Después de decir que son lo máximo como novios, una vez que terminamos les saco a relucir todos sus trapitos sucios y hasta me invento otros. Hasta de uno dije que estaba segura que era gay. 3. He llamado de teléfonos de amigas para que no identifique mi número tan sólo para confirmar que es a mí a la que no le quiere contestar. 4. Todas tenemos el derecho a estar dolidas y dedicar todas las canciones de Adele, Juan Gabriel, José José y todo lo que amerite a la causa. Pero cantar en un karaoke “Taco Placero” de Paquita la del Barrio estando hasta el tope de alcohol, creo que eso ya supera lo ardida. Y yo lo hice… ¡aplausos! 5. Le pedí a mi amigo pecaminosamente guapo y gay, que me acompañara a una fiesta en donde mi ex estaría, para que así él se arrepintiera del forro

6. Le regresé absolutamente todo lo que me había regalado. Se las envié por paquetería anexando una carta de despedida y enumerando cada una de las cosas y la ocasión en la que me la había dado para que recordara tanto amor que alguna vez me tuvo y se sintiera culpable por dejarme.

La lista podría continuar. Lo cierto es que cuando estamos en duelo hacemos cosas absurdas Creo que nunca tomaremos una actitud suficientemente madura cuando nos truenan. Pero una amiga siempre es buena consejera y ella nos puede poner un alto para no cometer algo de lo que podríamos arrepentirnos.

Burn or hurt? L

et’s face it: we can’t help being hurt when somebody breaks up with us (ok, or if we break up with him...obviously when he cheated on us or was a total jerk) We have all the right to be hurt! Because we’re not only pretty faces, we also have feelings. There’s so many things in that process that are understandable and valid, but, when do we start to get burned with our atittudes towards the ex? I’m going to give you some examples of my mistakes, laugh but learn! 1. I created fake Facebook and Twitter accounts in order to search for that bitch that stole my boyfriend, only to realize that sh’es ugly..Of course I asked my friends to compare us and finally we concluded that he’s missing it. 2. I said terrible things about my ex. After saying he was the best, once we broke up I start talking about all his dirty secrets, and even make up some others. Once I said he was gay. 3. I called from my friends phones so he wouldn’t identify my number only to confirm that is me whom he doesn’t want to answer.

The truth is, that when we’re in grief we do a lot of absurd stuff. The important thing is to rise. I believe we will never take a mature atittude regarding a break up. But a friend always has some a good advice and she can stop us from doing something we can might regret.

– Definitivamente, quizás

l estar soltera y vivir una relación conmigo misma, no tenía mucha idea de que escribir, por lo tanto decidí que leer un poco a mi ex sería buena idea, ¡y vaya que lo fue!

Y entonces pensé: karma, dicen los budistas que todas nuestras acciones se regresan, lo bueno, lo malo, y él pagó inmediatamente su cobardía, el engaño y su inmadurez.

Después de casi 6 meses de haber terminado, descubrí que su vida es un caos. Le lloré durante semanas de manera inconsolable, después pasó a llanto esporádico, y es que, nunca pude superar la manera en que me desechó, al primer problema decidió mandarme al diablo por mensaje, desde ahí debí saber el tipo de hombre que era, un cobarde.

Acto seguido, dice haber encontrado a la mujer de su vida, a muchos kilómetros de México, y solo me quedó sentir lástima por él, tan Freudiana su reacción, la mujer que siempre ha adorado se va a casar y casualmente él, encuentra a la mujer perfecta en un lugar lo suficientemente lejano para que sea imposible y entonces pueda seguir hundiéndose en el drama, de que el amor no es para todos, y menos para él.

Finalmente nos vimos en persona y el resultado fue el mismo, salió con que en realidad no me quería y ya tampoco me deseaba, ante tal argumento no me quedó más que callar, y llorar, ¿Deprimente no? Lo extrañaba tanto. Pasó el tiempo y ahora estoy recuperándome, gracias a mis amigos y toda la gente que me quiere he salido adelante, pero él… Descubrí que se ha ido hundiendo mas, primero, la mujer por la que se ha torturado toda la vida se va a casar, y aunque él trata de disfrazar con sus tweets el dolor, la verdad es que se nota que le pegó durísimo. Además de que según yo, andaba con alguien más y sospecho que le fue mal, porque solo repite que es forever alone y que está feliz ¡como no!

Yo ya hasta pienso que es gay y no lo sabe, por su madre dominante y su falta de pasión cuando estábamos juntos, además de que era medio chismosillo y desdeñaba a las mujeres, como mentirosas y todo lo demás. También sentí pena por mí, cuando leí pensé: mira nada mas de que tipo de hombre te viniste a enamorar, y jurabas que era el mejor del mundo, le lloraste por semanas y en realidad no vale la pena. Finalmente, todo es una oportunidad para aprender, y creo que es mejor mantener los ojos abiertos, cuando algo malo nos pase, o alguien nos lastime, debemos estar seguros de que el karma existe y que probablemente esa persona esté aún más perdida que uno.

Next thing you knew he claims to having found the true love of his life. But she lives very far from Mexico, and I could only feel sorry for him, so Freudian his reaction, the woman he has always adored is getting married and by chance he found the love of his life in a place far enough to make it impossible so he could keep sinking himself in drama, claiming love is not for everyone and of course not for him.

Now I even think he’s gay and doesn’t know it, his dominant mother and his lack of passion when we were together. He also likes to gossip, and used to say terrible things about women. Like being, liars, etc. Then I also felt sorry for myself, when I read his tweets I thought: look whom you fell in love with. You used to swear that he was the best man in the whole wide world, you cried over him for weeks and he wasn’t worth it. Finally everything is an opportunitty to learn, I believe it is best to keep eyes and ears open. When something bad happens to us, or somebody hurts us, we should be confident that karma does exist and probably that person is even more lost than we are.

o recuerdo en qué película vi este relato, pero recuerdo muy bien lo que decía porque me quedé pensando en eso varios días: el invitado notó que el Ministro le dio una palmada en las nalgas a su sirvienta. Más tarde, se acercó a él para preguntarle por qué había hecho semejante cosa teniendo como esposa a una mujer tan hermosa. El Ministro le respondió a su invitado con una pregunta: ¿usted no se cansaría de comer su platillo favorito todos los días? Y básicamente así es como la mayoría de los hombres justifica sus puestas de cuernos, con base en que ya están un poquito aburridos y que necesitan “variedad”. ¿En serio los hombres saben lo que quieren? Porque está claro que nos han criticado por décadas a las mujeres de no saber lo que queremos, que no nos entienden, que somos complicadas, que un día es una cosa y al otro ya no. Pero cuando ellos tienen a la mujer que tanto persiguieron y cortejaron por algún tiempo, jurándole amor eterno, con la mano en la cintura la cambian por otra. A la bonita la cambian por la fea, a la inteligente por la tonta, a la niña de casa por la fiestera, a la alta por bajita, o simplemente te ponen el cuerno con una que ni es fea, ni tonta, ni chaparra, pero que no te llega ni a los talones. He llegado a la conclusión que es porque dan por sentada la relación y nuestra fidelidad. Se les hace fácil aceptar coqueteos e invitaciones de otras mujeres cuando en ti ya no encuentran un verdadero reto. La relación se hizo tan monótona que ya casi ni te arreglas cuando sales con él, ya no platican de esas cosas súper interesantes que a él lo dejaban con la boca abierta porque “le encanta tu modo de pensar”.

Llega el momento en el que nos volvemos apáticas hasta con la coquetería. Como ya tenemos una relación estable, dejamos de atrevernos a coquetear y a salir con hombres que quieren de nosotras algo más que amistad. Incluso dejamos de salir con amigos de años para que nuestro galán no lo mal interprete. Yo cometí todos esos errores. Y no justifico el acto de infidelidad por parte de mi ex, pero debo aceptar que yo también fui partícipe en el hecho de que perdiera interés en mí. I’ve concluded it’s because they take for granted the relationship and our faithfulness. They find it easy to accept flirtations and invitations with other women when you are no longer a challenge. The relationship became so monotonous that you barely doll yourself up when you go out with him, and you no longer talk about those things super interesting. Lo que más le apasiona es la retratar paisajes y cada toma la disfruta como si fuera la última, para Paty lo más importante es no perder la alegría por la vida, ni las ganas de luchar en momentos de tristeza, o desesperación. Y para superar las dificultades se ayuda en las cosas bellas que la rodean, en lo que espera de sí misma, en la música que también le alienta, pero sobre todo en la fotografía que es su mayor inspiración.

Nora, Gabo, Marco y Heinrich son un grupo de amigos que encontraron la forma de convertir su pasión en su trabajo. En entrevista con ellos nos hablaron del valor estético de las cosas y como lo aplican para satisfacer las necesidades de su clientes, la importancia de blogs, de las redes sociales y como ayudan a cambiar la percepción del estilo mexicano en otros países. Cherry Bomb comparte su estilo y esperan ser una inspiración para otros.

This new wave is possible thanks to all new talents that are looking to make a change with their graphic and creative work. Cherry Bomb is a design studio specializing in image and web pages creation, and their main goal is to make the world funnier and happier with good work and friendship. Nora, Gabo, Marco and Heinrich are a group of friends that found a way to transform their passion into their work. In an interview they told us what they think about the esthetic value of things, and how they apply it to satisfy the needs of their clients. They also talk about the importance of blogs, social networks and how this may help to change the perception of mexican style in other countries.

ashion Group México e Industrias Peñoles presentan la colección Caballero de Plata; donde 16 diseñadores de joyería fueron reunidos para crear la colección: “Caballero de Plata” con motivo de los 50 años del grupo en México.

Entre las creaciones de estos 16 diseñadores encontramos: mancuernillas, anillos, dijes, pulseras, brazaletes, hebillas, llaveros, porta billetes, pines, etc. Todas enfocadas al segmento masculino.

Among the creations of these 16 designers we can find: cufflinks, rings, charms, bracelets, buckles, keychains, ticket holders, pins, among others. All focussed to the male segment.

“La iniciativa de este proyecto surgió el año pasado cuando realizamos un evento de Fashion Group Mexico. Se habló del mercado para caballero y se llegó a la conclusión de que éste mercado se encontraba desatendido, de ahí que se inició con este proyecto”, menciona Carlota de la Vega Pietrini, Directora de Fashion Group Mexico.
