WAYS TO BE GREEN Recycling turns materials used, which otherwise would simply waste valuable resources. Collecting used bottles, cans, newspapers, etc.. are reusable and thence to that, take them to a collection facility or place, is the first step in a series of steps generating a lot of financial, environmental and social benefits why not. Some of these benefits accrue both locally and globally.

GLASS ď Ź

The glass recycling is the process by which waste glass are converted into usable products, either by a washing procedure of the waste and its subsequent reuse or re-melt the product. For this purpose, glass waste must be separated as chemical composition and then, depending on the use to which it will give or processing capabilities in local facilities, can also be separated according to color processing.

CARTON AND PAPER ď Ź

Paper recycling is the paper recovery process and used to transform into new paper products. There are three categories of paper that can be used as raw material for recycled paper: grinding, pre-consumer waste and scrap of paper post-consumo.1 ground are bits and pieces from the manufacture of paper, and is recycled internally in a paper mill. Pre-consumer wastes are materials that have gone through the paper mill, and have been rejected before they are ready for consumption. Post-consumer waste paper materials are used and that the consumer rejects, such as old magazines or newspapers, office supplies, telephone, etc. The paper considers suitable for recycling is called "scrap of paper"

PLASTIC ď Ź

The source reduction relates directly to the design and production phase of products, mainly containers, before being consumed. It is a way of conceiving new products with environmental criteria, generate less waste. And this applies to all raw materials: glass, paper, cardboard, aluminum and plastics.

In the case of the latter waste, source reduction is the responsibility of the petrochemical industry (manufacturer of different types of plastics), processing industry (taking those plastics to manufacture different end products), and who designs container (packer).

BATTERIES ď Ź

The recycling of batteries is a recycling activity that aims to reduce the number of batteries that are discarded as municipal solid waste. It is widely promoted by people with knowledge of environmental awareness and pollution, particularly aware of the contamination of soil and water due to the addition of heavy metals and other chemicals used in these objects.
