Nick Rogers started with Land Rover 30 years ago as an apprentice and now serves as Director of Engineering. He reminded me that he currently owns two Range Rover Classics and “learned to drive in a Series II-A on the family farm.” He noted that, “It’s a most exciting time to be an automotive engineer, with worldwide urbanization, carbon footprint awareness and the consumer’s desire for uniqueness.” Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s Design Director, noted that this “45th year of the Range Rover has seen the Evoque, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover achieve a global sales peak.” Land Rover is on a roll, and with the Discovery Sport in place, we’re intrigued to daydream about the eventual “Discovery 5” and “Defender 2”.
