Letters to the Editor Dear Rovers North, I’m writing this letter in appreciation for sending me Rovers Magazine with all the latest updates on Land Rover parts and the beautiful new models. I am the owner of a 2000 Land Rover Discovery Series II and I love my vehicle. I will keep it forever and maintain it as much as possible. When I get the chance to kit out my Discovery the way I envision it, I will send a photo to you. Thank you once again! Orlando Rodriguez Philadelphia, PA [Thanks, Orlando. We thank you for letting Rovers North be part of your Land Rover experience and we’re delighted you enjoy this magazine —ed.] Dear Rovers North, Ever since the early days of Rovers North and Lanny Clark working with me to restore my 1970 II-A, I’ve appreciated the help that Rovers North has provided to me. All I can say now is that you should assign Les Parker a part number of his own as his advice and counsel are part of my Discovery I. He is a “five star” in every category. Richard Gerhardt North Palm Beach, FL [Les is indeed a fount of knowledge about Land Rovers and enjoys helping enthusiasts get the most our of their Land Rovers. Perhaps we could assign him RN EXPAT 001? —ed.]

Dear Rovers North, Just wanted to say thanks to you and the entire crew for the steady support a way’s back when I had a carburetor issue, and then a starter issue, and later a clutch issue on my 109”. Unfortunately, I made the tough decision to sell it a few months back as my wife and I will be bouncing around the country for the next few years. It was a sad day, as we both enjoyed the truck, but a necessary one. As soon as I have a driveway to put one in, I plan on picking up an exMoD 110. Ross Thibodeau San Antonio, TX [We look forward to hearing of your next Land Rover as soon as you settle down enough —ed.] Dear Rovers North, Love your publication, your website, and really appreciate your partnership with my Dad’s Rover club, SOLAROS. David “Moose, Jr.” Russell Athens, GA [We’re very pleased to be affiliated with SOLAROS, and we’re equally delighted to see Land Rover enthusiasm cross generations —ed.]

Dear Rovers North, You can imagine my surprise when I was reading with my 3-year-old son and found a picture of a Defender. My surprise turned to anger when I saw that they labeled it a Jeep! So, I made a correction and now my son tells everyone that the book is wrong because “It's a Fender!” Bill Schimikowski Westboro, MA [Your son is destined for greatness —ed.] Dear Rovers North, I wanted to share this photo with you of my Series II-A with its new Rovers North top. John Moody Asheville, NC [Your Rover looks even sharper now, John. When is it headed to Africa with you? —ed.]
