Continuing Education at Rock Valley College will help you upgrade your skills and increase job knowledge with short-term, non-degree credit alternative programs. These courses will provide professional development, career advancement and preparation for State and National certification exams. NOTE: Courses designated as “credit” do not transfer towards a degree and do not require an entrance exam or tests. Financial Aid does not apply to Continuing Education courses.

Teaching for Continuing Education can be rewarding in so many ways. Because of the nature of non-credit classes, instructors are not required to have degrees -- just demonstrate expertise in their subject area. We are looking for individuals with expertise and/or experience in the following Industrial areas: – CNC machine – sheet metal fabrication – plumbers – machine repair – tool & die – pipefitters – robotics – welders – robotics – electrical technicians – metallurgy – etc. If you would like more information on teaching or if you would like to discuss the possibility of offering a class, contact Continuing Education, (815) 921-3903.
