Former guard Tony Lee (2004-08) was named the 2008 NEC Player of the Year, and he was followed the next year by former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09), who garnered the honor in 2009. Chappell was also named the 2006 NEC Rookie of the Year, with guard Karon Abraham taking home the same honor in 2010. ALL-NORTHEAST CONFERENCE HONORS ... Since the 2007-08 campaign, a total of five Colonials have earned AllNEC accolades seven times. Former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) became the only player in Northeast Conference history to compile career totals of at least 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 250 steals and 200 three-pointers THE GREATEST COMEBACK ... Robert Morris put together its greatest comeback in school history in garnering a 74-72 win over Youngstown State (11/25/08) at the Charles L. Sewall Center. The Penguins held a 57-34 lead with 16:07 to play, but the Colonials closed the game on a 40-15 run to garner the victory. It marks the largest deficit on record that RMU has ever come back from in its 36-year Division I history. Former guard Bateko Francisco (200709) hit a jumper with 2.7 seconds to play that helped lift the Colonials to the win over the Penguins. DID YOU KNOW? RMU held 11 consecutive opponents under 70 points from Dec. 1, 2011 to Jan. 7, 2012, a school record. The old mark of eight straight games was established during the 2008-09 campaign WE’RE STREAKING Robert Morris has posted seven consecutive winning seasons, the longest streak in school history. Since the beginning of the 2005-06 campaign, the Colonials own an overall record of 149-81 (.648), including a mark of 90-36 (.714) in the Northeast Conference.
