The Colonials advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2012 CIT thanks to a 69-51 victory @ Toledo (3/17/12) in the second round. RMU converted 50 percent (23-for-46) of its shots from the field against the Rockets as redshirt sophomore guard Coron Williams led four players in double figures scoring with a game-high 17 points. Freshman forward Lucky Jones added 13 points and six rebounds off the bench, while redshirt juniors Velton Jones and Russell Johnson each scored 10 points. Robert Morris is making its fourth postseason appearance in the last five years by taking part in the 2012 CIT, as the Colonials appeared in the NIT in 2008 while earning back-to-back berths in the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and 2010.
