How much responsibility were you given? I have been given real responsibilities and tangible work tasks. An example of this is a project I helped to set up to be run by a handful of placement students and graduates, it meant we had a real project with a real budget to run and manage ourselves. I have also been involved in other projects which allowed me to see the end-to-end supply chain process, within which my opinions and inputs have been valued.
I have developed a number of transferrable skills that will be useful through all walks of life. NATS has presented me with many opportunities to develop. Where has your experience exceeded your expectations? I have learnt so much throughout my time at NATS. I have developed a number of transferable skills that will be useful through all walks of life. NATS has presented me with many opportunities to develop and the involvement in real projects whilst having a real influence was something I did not expect to be given in such abundance.

WWW.RMP.GD/NATS What was the atmosphere like in your team? The atmosphere was really inviting and the tasks I carried out were tailored to my strengths and things I enjoy. Getting settled in was quite easy and I found it relaxing as everyone was extremely friendly and eager to help get me started. There was a close-knit community of placement students with biweekly forums allowing us to discuss how things were going and knowing the other placement students so well gave me a great peer to peer source of information. What were the activities outside of work? The social scene at NATS is great. I have often gone for lunch or drinks after work with co-workers within my department, and the Supply Chain Christmas party was great fun. I have also been out for dinner and to pub quizzes with other coworkers outside of my department.
