Bonnie Keller Celebrates 25 Years at Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Ozarks
Price Cutter Charity Championship
On August 7, 2014, Bonnie Keller celebrated 25 years with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks. Her positions held with RMHC were all volunteer-based until joining the staff as Executive Director in 1989 and later promoted to President & CEO in 1991. Bonnie began her career as a volunteer in 1985 before being elected to the board of directors in 1986, and appointed Volunteer Executive Director at the recommendation of her mentor and Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks founder, the late Joe Post. Under Bonnie’s leadership the organization has flourished, growing in reach and influence, and developing new programs to fit an ever-changing world. She has overseen the expansion of the RMHC programs and mission with a grant-making program added in 1996, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile (fondly known as the Tooth Truck) in 2002 and the second Ronald McDonald House (located inside Mercy Children’s Hospital) in 2012. “It is very apparent how much Bonnie cares for the organization. It’s not just a career for her; it’s a passion,” said Doug Carter, a local attorney, longtime Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks Board Member and current Board Chairperson. “Bonnie always keeps a positive attitude and meets challenges head-on. Her instincts for how to run the organization are spot-on. That’s the reason Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks is where it is today.” We couldn’t have said it any better. It is an honor and privilege to have Bonnie at the helm of the organization and leading RMHC to new heights. We look forward to many more years of working side-by-side with such an incredible leader who truly embodies the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Thank you to all the volunteers who worked during the Price Cutter Charity Championship, as well as those who helped sell sweepstakes tickets at Macadoodles leading up to the tournament. With your help, Ronald McDonald House Charities sold more than 960 raffle tickets, raising more than $24,000 that will be included in the total donation from the tournament!
