Our family stayed at the Ronald McDonald House
in December 2020 and January 2021 while our daughter, Tinley was in the NICU at Mercy-Springfield after she was born 10 weeks early. We lived two hours away, and the Ronald McDonald House was such a blessing to us. They allowed us to stay close to Tinley and have a private, clean place to rest in between her care times; they had complete laundry facilities on-site so we didn’t have to leave; and they assisted us with meals. The staff was extremely helpful in guiding us through the process of a NICU stay, as well as being a listening ear on tough days. They always went above and beyond to ensure our needs were taken care of, which allowed us to focus on being there for our daughter.
