Celebrations: The school celebrated birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Annai Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and Swami Ramakrishnanandaji Maharaj and National Festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day, Childrens' Day and Teachers' Day were also celebrated. The 175th birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna and the Platinum Jubilee inaugural function was held on 5-3-2011. Revered Swami Atmaghananandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Mylapore presided over the function. Dr.M.S.Ananth, Director, IIT Madras was the chief guest. Revered Swami Atmaghananandaji Maharaj released Platinum Jubilee souvenir and Sri S.Venkatraghavan, old student and former captain, Indian Cricket Team received the first copy of the souvenir. They distributed prizes to the winners in various competitions conducted. There was also a cultural programme by the students which was well appreciated by the audience. The valedictory function was held on 6-3-2011. Revered Swami Somanandaji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore presided over the function. Padmasri Dr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chettiar, M/s.Nalli Chinnasamy Silks, T.Nagar, Chennai was the chief guest. Sri Jawahar Vadivel, Chairman, Cameo Corporate Services, Chennai was the special speaker. Retired staff and present staff were honoured in this function. After that Smt. Vishaka Hari's 'Harikatha' programme on “Prahllada charitram and Sri Ramakrishna� was conducted to a well attended gathering.
