New York’s Most Beautiful Bookstore Thrives in NoMad “There’s no place like NoMad, and no bookstore like Rizzoli. The NoMad Alliance is committed to building an ever better sustainable community and growing local businesses. We’re proud to have such a storied New York icon as Rizzoli among us.” —Leslie Spira Lopez founder and president of the nomad alliance, president and ceo of kew management

Eight years have passed since we reopened the iconic Rizzoli Bookstore. As we approach our 60th anniversary in 2024 we are filled with pride for our elegant and unique space. Whether you are a regular or a first-time guest, it’s a captivating place to spend an afternoon. Is there another bookstore in the country where, within a span of a few weeks, you can interact with Pulitzer Prize–winning writers, world-class artists, AD100 designers, and living legends of screen and stage? This year, we’re delighted to host over 130 events in our salon—an all-time record. We’re especially proud of our sold-out evenings with Bob Mackie, Patricia Field, Billy Porter, Olivia Harrison, and Marylou Luther with Ruben Toledo, among other luminaries. Our new cookbook series with the TASTE Podcast has already welcomed stars like Claire Saffitz, and the second annual MACK at Rizzoli fair drew hundreds of guests to meet the most distinguished photographers working today.

Rizzoli Music Aperitivo, our beloved jazz series, continues to bring together a delightful community each month, featuring talents like Michael Leonhart, Daniel Freedman, and the Grammynominated Innov Gnawa led by Maalem Hassan Ben Jaafer. In the past few years, thanks to the newly established NoMad Piazza on Broadway, our home in the NoMad (North of Madison) neighborhood has transformed into a destination for lovers of art, culture, food, and—most importantly, in our opinion—books.

Catalog, we aim not only to showcase the season’s most significant books, but also to bring a taste of our store’s ambiance directly to your home. Please do drop by to browse, attend an event, or simply say hello. If Rizzoli Bookstore continues to be a New York City institution after nearly sixty years, it’s because of friends like you. Livia Senic-Matuglia store manager

It’s a joy to be surrounded by some of New York’s most celebrated restaurants, shopping destinations, galleries, museums, the famous Chelsea Flea, and Madison Square Park, all within easy walking distance. There aren’t many better neighborhoods for a weekend stroll these days. As we venture into the rest of 2023 and beyond, we have exciting plans in store. Through this annual Holiday
