Squatting Into the new Year Count down to build lower-body strength

For many of you, it’s the “new year, new you” resolution time to get in shape. So if your starting of 2018 highly motivated, here is a great squat workout for you to try to light up your legs with really no equipment needed.

The Setup You’ll perform a 15-rep countdown of split squats on your right leg and split squats on your left leg, finishing off with 15 bench squats – that’s one cycle. Next round, complete 14 split squat reps on your right leg and 14 reps of split squats on your left leg, finishing off with 14 bench squats – that’s cycle two. Repeat this sequence until you hit 1-1-1 reps of splits squats on each leg and bench squatting. This will take a good amount of time, so don’t speed through the reps and track your time to see how long this high-volume workout takes you.
