Jessica Hein wanted to have a natural childbirth even though her last child was born by cesarean section. “I wanted to avoid that if possible,” said Jessica. “Dr. May is the best doctor I have ever had. Derrick is the son of Donald and Roxana Warner of Richland Center. Sandra graduated from Wauzeka-Steuben High School in 2008 and graduated from SWTC in 2013 with a Medical Laboratory Technician degree. She is currently employed at Crossing Rivers Health Medical Center in Prairie du Chien. Derrick graduated from Richland Center High School in 2009 and is currently enrolled at Oregon State University to pursue a Bachelors degree in Natural Resources, Wildlife and Fisheries. He is currently employed at Prairie Industries in Prairie du Chien. They currently reside in Eastman and are to be wed on July 25, 2015. ELSIE MAE GILLINGHAM
June 30, 2015 Elsie Mae (Cooper) Gillingham, 97 of Richland Center, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Pine Valley Healthcare. She was born September 23, 1917 the daughter of Fred and Alta (Fry) Cooper. On February 13, 1937 Elsie married the love of her life Robert F. Gillingham. Elsie enjoyed playing fast pitch softball in her younger years. She loved her flower gardens. She and Bob traveled extensively throughout the United States. For 25 years, Elsie and her three sisters were active in the water aerobics at the Symon’s Center. The ladies also enjoyed almost daily walks in northern Richland Center. Elsie was a long time member of the Buck Creek EUB Church and then after moving to Richland Center was an active member of Peace United Methodist Church. Elsie was an active member of the Richland Senior Citizens and Richland Hospital Auxiliary/ Partners. Elsie is survived by her daughter Barbara (Ed) Borton; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren; siblings Madeline Helt, Eunice Banker, Gerald (Fran) Cooper, Ruth Collins; daughter-in-law Mary Gillingham; sister in-law Betty Cooper; many other relatives and friends. Elsie is preceded in death by husband Robert F. Gillingham; parents Fred Cooper , Alta (Fry) Cooper; children Marvaline (Maynard) Weeden; infant daughter Betty Jean, son Robert Jr.; grandchildren Robert Weeden, Alan Borton, Gary Borton; great-grandchildren, Scott Frydenlund, Joey Lacheta; siblings Alice (Vern) Braund, Harold (Bernadine)

MARGARET MOTT
July 6, 2015 Margaret Mott, 90, of Richland Center, passed away July 6, 2015 at Pine Valley Healthcare. She was born in October 18, 1924 in Baraboo the daughter of Albert and Erma (Hoege) Martin. Margaret graduated from Baraboo High School then worked at Badger Ordnance as a Lab Tech, then attended Harper Method Beauty School and worked as a hair stylist in Prairie du Chien and Milwaukee. On June 5, 1948 in Baraboo, WI, Margaret married the love of her life, Joe Mott, and spent the next 64 years raising a family, entertaining friends and taking care of those in need. Margaret was fortunate to be able to stay at home with their growing family while Joe continued his 25 year career at Kroger’s Grocery. Margaret and Joe started farming in 1966 on a farm at the end of Buckhorn Road in Dayton Township in Richland County. There, they
milked cows, raised chickens, sheep, and horses and became part of the Dayton Township Community. Margaret and Joe were foster parents for 100’s of children and many are still part of Margaret’s life today. She would roll her eyes and laugh when Joe brought in the eggs for her to wash, she didn’t know how to cook for a group under 20 and fed many people at their home and she flipped the best burgers at the Dayton Hills Bar. Margaret was known for her smiling face and teasing manner, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, chocolate chip cookies, big hugs, independence and a great amount of patience. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Margaret is survived by her daughters: Carol (Blaine) Priebusch of Reeseville, Marjorie (Michael) Murphy of Seymour, Joanne (Ed) Welsh of Richland Center, Marcia Mott of New Mexico; son: Gary (Corrina) Mott of Richland Center; 19 grandchildren: Mike (Keri) Winterfelt, Chris Stowell, Kristen (Chad) DeNure; Robert, Sean and Ryan Murphy; Michele (Jim) Russell, Jason (Rose) Welsh, Justin (Lauren) Welsh; Tamara, Terry (Kristen) and Daniel Lohmiller; Brandon, Ashley (Chris McGough) and Darren Mott; Heather (Matt) Wolfe, Alisa (Trevor) Theis, DezaRae Edwards, Dejahlee Edwards; 12 great grandchildren: Kayden and Cora DeNure, Paige and Max Russell, Alexander and Ezekiel Welsh, Deven and Timmy Lohmiller, Lilyan Brandt, Evelyn Wolfe, Blake Olson and Norah Welsh; many other relatives and friends. July 8, 2015 Karen L. Kloehn, 76, of Henrietta Township died on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Pine Valley Healthcare. She was born December 21, 1938 in the Town of Bloom the daughter of Leslie and Dora (Ames) Wanless. As a child they moved around from place to place. Karen graduated f rom Richland Center High School in 1956. As a high school senior she worked in the high school kitchen, learning to cook. She started her courtship with George Kloehn and the couple were married October 27, 1956 and they were able to celebrate 58 years together. She was a member of the Henrietta Trailblazers and was a 4-H leader for many decades and received the 4-H Key Award and the Diamond Leader Award in 1986. Karen taught Sunday School at St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Women’s Relief Corp, DAV Auxiliary, and Yuba Homemakers for over 25 years. Karen served as a director of the Richland Farm Bureau Committee. She was a loving mother of 6 children. Karen enjoyed crocheting, sewing, mending, and farming alongside George. She was instrumental in the day to day operation of her husband’s bus, garage and Trucking business. Karen enjoyed listening to Maggie Mae, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. Karen is survived by; 6 chil-

July 12, 2015 George Lee Marshall, 93, of Richland Center died at Harvest Guest Home on Sunday, July 12, 2015, surrounded by family. He was
born August 20, 1921 in Marshall Township, to Lee and Albena (Stanek) Marshall, one of twelve children. George was a lifetime farmer. He also sold farm equipment and was a rural mail carrier for many years. He and his wife Joy raised three sons. George was a WWII Veteran and a POW in Germany. George was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Albena (Stanek) Marshall; his wife of 64 years, V. Joy (Cowling); and siblings, Earl, Genevieve, Lydia, Martin, Bert, Duane, and Wencil. He was a member of the Peace United Methodist church, VFW, Masons and American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Survivors include: siblings, Paul, Ted, Lester (Velda Jean), and Lois Barto. Sons, Michael (Robyn), Charles, and Kent (Diana). Grandchildren: Jessica (Robert) Mannel; Jason; Lydia (Tim) Biba; Cole (Laura Weigel); Casey (Ashli Alderman); and Nick (Kelsey). Also sisters-in-law, a brotherin-law, and many nieces and nephews.
