The St German’s Cathedral Foundation for Music and the Arts welcomes you to this year’s programme of concerts.
We are privileged to be able to welcome you to this beautiful and newly refurbished venue in the west of the Island.
The summer series of 18 weekly concerts are staged by the Arts and Music Foundation, a Trust established to encouraged the development of music and the visual arts, particularly in the west of the Isle of Man.
These concerts give performance experience for young musicians as well as an opportunity to hear established groups in a variety of styles. They amply demonstrate the musical talent that exists across our island nation. Our Summer Concerts are always free of charge, but we are grateful for your generosity in making a donation as you leave.
The net proceeds support special projects that vary from year to year. For example, in recent years, concert collections have enabled the refurbishment of the hand-‐bells and the purchase of a new adjustable piano stool.
This year a key aim of our fund-‐raising is to enable the Trust to contribute to the development of youth music outreach in the west of the island. An intended outcome of that project is to restore young voices to the Cathedral's music resources.

An average donation per family group of £5 per concert attended would assist the Trust in meeting its 2012 target.

A big “thank you” is also due to the performers, who all give of their time and talents on an voluntary basis. Without their generous participation, there would be no concert series!
We are always interested in your views about our concerts. Do let us know of events you have especially enjoyed (or perhaps enjoyed less). Give us any ideas you may have for performers you would particularly like to be included in future.
Please make these concerts widely known to family and friends -‐ there is no better publicity than recommendation by word of mouth.
You can share your ideas with us by contacting Don Roworth on 07624 318785 or via email don.roworth@mcb.net
