NATIVE THREADS

For this project I decided to re-brand ‘Native Threads’ - a clothing company based in American. I chose to re- design the logo, labels and reciept holder Along side this I designed some illustraions and applied them to a limited edition T-shirt range that would be sold in store and online. Each of the T-shirts within the range is accompanied by its own individually designed packaging.

Above is the logo which was produced by re-designing the word ‘Native Threads’ based on an existing typeface- Impact. This typeface would be the font that would be applied throughout the ‘Native Thread’ range.

The Inspiration for these designs came from looking through my research at photography of Native Indians. I wanted to create designs that gave the origianl photographs of the Native Indians culture justice.

I used traditional Native Indian symbols and patterns and incorporated them within the illustrations to produce contempary images of the Native Indian.
