How to do ? 88 Let’s start by measuring the required length for the tube. In this tutorial we will take a length of 45 cm. But it’s as you like. 88 Cut the pipe at the desired length with the metal saw. Then use the lime to clean the end of the tube.

88 The principle of a hollow torch is to keep fuel vapors. So we have to seal the end of the torch to avoid sucking air unnecessarily. One can use a wood stud or just pinch the end of the tube. The piece is introduced between 1 and 2 cm.

88 Then draw the two holes needed for the attachement of the wick at 2 and 4 cm from the pipe end. 88 We trace a third point at 3 cm. This one will not serve to fix the wick but to allow greater suction vapor. 88 Take a drill adapted to the size of your rivets and drill your pipe. 88 The holes must be through.

88 Then measure the length of wick needed to make your torch. Again it’s as you like. Here we take 20cm. Feel free to try different length before cutting your wick. Your torch may be wider. 88 Fix the wick on the pipe using the rivets. If you don’t have rivets and rivets gun you can use thin steel wire. 88 Once attached to the tube, wrap the wick tightening it as much as possible. 88 Take your sewing needle (preferably curved) and your Kevlar™ wire. Achieve a strong seam along the length of the wick by making at least one roundtrip in order keep wound. 88 Cut the wire ends. 88 There you go ! your Hollow torch is ready !
