This Issue: Slim Moon at Kill Rock Stars How would you describe your overall ambitions and goals as a label from when you first started compared to now? My goals have changed a bit with experience but they are mostly the same - help great artists realize their vision and reach their audience and make a living from their music, and also to cause some great records to exist that might otherwise have never happened. We know you can’t choose, but what’s been your favorite label release, and why? I think Bikini Kill’s Pussywhipped is the greatest punk rock album ever. If you had the budget, what would be your dream “outside-the-box” or “crossover” marketing campaign? Have the band stay where they are, playing music every day, and get all the fans to travel to them. This would include taking over the local store and stocking nothing but that band’s music all year, so the pilgrims would leave with a big stack of music and merch.
How did you personally get started in the music industry? Depends on what counts as “music industry.” I started my first band while I was homeless and sleeping on couches in Seattle as a teenager. I first started putting on shows and releasing cassettes in Olympia, at the urging of Lois (Courtney Love, Lois, Owl and the Pussycat, Lois Maffeo and Brendan Canty) Maffeo. When and where did the label begin? I started the label in February of 1991 with the intention of putting out spoken word seven-inches. The first one was called Wordcore Volume 1 and featured me on one side and Kathleen Hanna on the other side. What is the meaning behind the name for the label? I named it after a painting I had made, but yeah it was meant to be a statement of intent. Dismantle major labels! No more MTV! Corporate rock still sucks! How has the label changed since it started? The first big change was the decision to start releasing music and not just spoken word. We grew a lot and started another label (5RC) but I left after 15 years Portia Sabin then ran it for 13 years until I returned. The flavor was similar but different during her time. Describe the general makeup of your team at the label. Right now there are 3 of us in house and also an independent contractor we think of as part of the team. Sydney does social media and publicity; Adam does digital marketing and some video stuff; Rob is the GM/VP and does basically everything, with a heavy influence on art, design, and product management. I do the “A&R” and try not to have a supervisor style that holds people back, with mixed success. What has been the biggest challenge for you and the label during the Pandemic? Well it’s a pretty basic obvious answer, but we tend to work with artists who play great live shows, so the lack of live shows has been different and kinda tough. Is the label tied to a specific geographical area? How is this reflected in your releases? We’ve released music from all over North America as well as about a dozen other countries, but we have a special relationship with Portland Oregon and the Pacific Northwest in general. Where do you go to search for new music? Who or what has been a new find you’d like to rave about? I do listen to and sign bands from unsolicited demos quite often. I also get a lot of great tips from bands already on the label. Every once in a while we’ve discovered an artist by just stumbling into a show and being blown away. Super impressed by Sunny War right now. Is there a genre that you would consider to be the label’s “signature style,” or is it a mix? Ideologically, we think of ourselves as a punk label. Musically we cover several genres but our biggest successes have been in the “indie rock” category.
What is your stance on color vinyl? What’s the most unique color LP or overall packaging you’ve ever seen or released? I was not that big into the physical experience or “fancy” cover art in the 90s but I’ve come around and now really believe in making vinyl special in ways that delights the fans. Forget about the vinyl boom - how are you and your label responding to the ever-increasing popularity of cassette tapes? CDs?? We never stopped making CDs. We have made some special cassette collections. Look for more in the future, and maybe 8-track and reel-to-reel. How would you describe the average fan of the label? I think we have a few different pockets of fans. A 40-something who loved Sleater-Kinney and Elliott Smith in the 90s and has kept up on good music, or a 20-something who loves great new bands and also loves our history as a label. Before working at the label did you have any experience playing in bands or making music of your own? It is common for the weird kid in the scene who dressed flamboyantly and does spoken word and isn’t afraid to make a fool of themselves in front of people to get asked to sing in bands, and that happened to me a few times (Eights and Aces, Nisqually Delta Podunk Nightmare, Lush, No Reason) before I started creating my own projects (Witchypoo, slimmoonSolo, Slim Moon and What Army) In your opinion, how important is it to be environmentally sustainable within the music industry these days? Environmental sustainability should rightfully be the #1 concern of everyone in the world right now. What in your opinion has been the biggest change in the music industry from when you first started compared to now? The way people discover new music. In my time it was looking for clues within limited resources and opportunities - listening to college radio after midnight, trying to get to the record store before the newest issue of that zine from London you love sells out, standing outside of 21+ shows to listen through the doors. Now it is more a winnowing down to find the golden within an avalanche of sounds, too much to choose from. If you had to start a new sub-label, what would it be called and what kind of music would it be geared towards? Kill Rock Stars Nashville, and it would put out stuff that has one foot in a more “rootsy” American tradition, whether that be expressed as country, bluegrass, Americana, etc. Want to shout out a personal favorite record store or retail establishment? Now’s your chance: Fallout in Seattle in the 80s was the place that helped me become me. Bruce Pavitt sold me my first indie label record from an American label - Our Secret/ What’s Important by Beat Happening. They say our sun will explode in about 5 billion years or so- how would you like the label to be remembered? We cared more about people than music, and more about music than money.

LIMITED EDITION RED VINYL Josh Rouse never planned on making a holiday record. “I was never a holiday record kind of guy,” he laughs. “Growing up, I remember hearing Vince Guaraldi and Bing Crosby and all the staples everybody listens to each winter, but I never collected Christmas music or anything like that.” It makes sense, then, that ‘The Holiday Sounds of Josh Rouse’ isn’t your typical yuletide collection. Written off-and-on over the course of the last ten years, the record is joyful and festive of course, but, much like the holiday season itself, it’s also laced with an undercurrent of longing and melancholy. For every playful portrait of giddy lovers on New Year’s Eve, there’s a stranded traveler spending Christmas alone; for every slick St. Nick in a suit and sunglasses there’s a lonely ex-pat waiting by the mailbox for cards that never seem to come. The arrangements are eclectic and intoxicating, drawing equal influence from Rouse’s Midwestern childhood and his decade-and-a-half spent living in Spain, and the performances here are sparkling and fizzy to match, blending jazz sophistication with rootsy sincerity and sly crooner charm. The result is a holiday record built for the long haul, a wholesome, whip smart collection that’s guaranteed to stay with you well after the snow has melted and all the decorations have come down. “I decided that if I was going to make a holiday record, I didn’t want to load it up with sleigh bells and choirs and sing the same old standards that everybody else has already sung,” says Rouse. “I wanted to write something that folks hadn’t heard before, something they could listen to year-round.”

“It was Nick (Lowe) that opened my eyes to how great holiday records could actually be,” says Rouse. “He showed me that you don’t have to be sappy or sentimental with it, that you can be yourself and put your own stamp on the tradition.” Rouse had already begun experimenting with his own holiday songs, writing a Christmas-themed tune or two every December just for the fun of it, but he’d never really considered recording or releasing them. Sometimes he’d perform the tracks live around the holidays; sometimes he’d sing them to get a laugh from his kids; sometimes he’d save them as voice memos on his phone and forget that they even existed. By the fall of 2018, though, Rouse realized he’d written more than enough material for a record, and, inspired by Lowe, he headed into Nashville’s Alex The Great studio for a four-day whirlwind of a session produced by longtime friend and collaborator Joe Pisapia (Guster, Ben Folds Five). “We recorded everything, even my vocals, live in just a couple takes,” says Rouse, who cut the album with the same group of musicians that backed him on ‘1972.’ “I’d give the guys some hints and direction here and there, but we work so well together that very little needed to be said. I was smiling after every performance.” “I approached writing these songs like I was soundtracking a film,” Rouse explains. “I was trying to bring all these little holiday scenes around the world to life with humor and heart.”

“At first I got very sad and scared,” says Joel of the devastating diagnosis. “But at the same time, it was like all the other worries I carried suddenly didn't matter. I just got this very intense feeling of being alive.” This dichotomy lies at the heart of his beautifully bittersweet third LP. Meditating on love, growth, self-acceptance, forgiveness, mortality and the passing of time, Let The Morning Come, which arrives selfproduced by Joel, contains his most candid writing to date. And yet, for all the heartache that comes with being cruelly confronted with one’s own mortality, the prevailing impression Wästberg leaves listeners with is one of hope, resulting in a collection that is lifeaffirming in the very truest sense. The new record is the latest step in his evolution as an artist renowned for conjuring dreamy melodies from unconventional arrangements. Drawing on the luxurious sounds of Marvin Gaye’s masterpiece What’s Going On, and utilising an eclectic palette that encompasses complex polyrhythms, Medieval recorder harmonies, and the languid sigh of a second hand Hammond organ, Wästberg sought to “condense” his songwriting, with the aim of evoking the immediacy of the music of his youth. Lyrically too, time is of the essence, as displayed in song titles like ‘Waiting For the Weekend’, ‘Before The Morning Comes’, ‘I Don’t Think We Should Wait’ and ‘Time To Let It Out.’ This palpable sense of a race against time is heightened by the fact he suffered a stroke in January of this year, when the album was “99% complete.” Now thankfully recovered, the experience has only strengthened his resolve to grasp every possible opportunity and to live life authentically and without fear, ideas which ultimately permeate the album. sir Was, praised initially by Stones Throw Records founder, Peanut Butter Wolf, has received support around the world with multiple playlists on BBC 6 Music, plays on BBC Radio 1, KCRW, Radio Nova, Radio Eins and more. Souren Baronian: trailblazing Armenian-American jazz and folk musician, founder of visionary fusion band Taksim, master of the saxophone, clarinet and such Middle Eastern instruments as the duduk, kaval and dumbek – and the man behind the three albums collected here, originally released in the early-to-mid ’70s on Souren’s own Carlee Records, and now lovingly reissued for the very first time. As the great man himself says, “World music is in today, and I was at the bottom end of this thing, I was doing this music in the ’50s! There was Latin fusion and Cuban stuff with jazz, but that was about it. I was one of the first ones to fuse Middle Eastern music with jazz. I was there, man!” The first LP is Souren’s first Carlee release, Middle Eastern Soul, features vocalist Bob Tasjian and Haig Manoukian, widely considered one of the greatest oud players of all time. The second LP is The Exciting Music of The Nor-ikes featuring Souren’s ‘50s recordings as the Nor-Ikes as he presented them in his ‘73 reissue and features the legendary Chick Ganimian on oud. The third LP is Hye Inspiration, credited to Bob Tashjian & Souren Baronian featuring the oud of John Tarpinian (yet another fantastic oud player!) recorded and released in ’76. Yet Beyond The Pale has continued to inspire long after the sessions for the record stopped. Despite being divided by the pandemic, audiences came together around the album, Jarvis and co made a live film based on the album with pioneering directors Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard entirely underground in a cavern, and intriguingly other musicians and producers have continued to be intrigued by the songs Cocker and his band created.The latter now has yielded an entirely new way of hearing Beyond The Pale, as for the first time in his career, JARV IS… releasing a remix album based on one of his records. Boasting re-imaginings and re-stylings from the likes of David Holmes, Dennis Bovell and Greg Wilson among others, the record is a collaborative mix that offers new focus and insight on the music of one of this generation’s greatest songwriters, while also allowing the remixers’ own unique characters to take flight within JARV IS... creative cave. Paving the way for JARV IS… REMIX ED… ahead of its release on 26 November (although the album will be exclusively on sale at dates on the band’s UK tour which begins on 2 November), will be Hot Chip’s brand new version of “House Music All Night Long”. Released as a single on 20 October, the track is a brilliant demonstration of the exchange at the heart of this project – Jarvis Cocker and the London band have been frequent collaborators over the years – as Cocker’s emotionally raw vocals are relocated within a dazzling new disco wonderland conjured up by Hot Chip. OVERVIEW Amidst a night of hazy scenes in their native Isle of Wight – a sparsely populated island off the south coast of England accessible only by boat - Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers found themselves at the summit of a Ferris wheel. OVERVIEW Richard Dawson is the diminutive Geordie troubadour whose moving songs have been described as stateof-the-nation addresses, even — or perhaps especially — when he’s singing about pre-medieval peasants. Circle are the genre-straddling pioneers of The New Wave Of Finnish Heavy Metal, known for wearing spandex or dead fish onstage and singing in a made-up language. Together they are… Richard Dawson & Circle! Their collaborative album Henki is due November 26th via Weird World. Their epic joint record might seem a departure to those who are most familiar with Dawson from recent solo albums like 2017’s Peasant and 2020 (released in 2019). In fact, Henki fits comfortably into the bigger picture of two acts who have always strived for uninhibited originality. Dawson explains the album’s title: “The word 'henki' roughly translates as 'spirit'. It's a very rich word, supple in its meaning in the same way as the Geordie 'canny'; difficult to pin down.” True to its name, while Henki is influenced, in part by heavy-metal bands, it does not sound like any metal album you will have heard before. For one thing, few metal albums are filled with songs about plants. Inspired by Circle’s guitarist Janne Westerlund instructing the group during recording to be less straightforward and more “like a plant”, each of Henki’s seven tracks deal with special plants throughout history.

Taking advantage of, as you say in the jargon, ‘the end of exploitation rights’, Dixiefrog Records jumped at the chance to get these three albums on their label. Now, more than ever, Popa Chubbys roots are taking hold in Dixiefrog, a long way from the release in 1996 of his debut album ‘The First Cuts’. And that’s where the story might have ended but the label decided to mark the occasion by laying on an extravagant spread for these three albums. Flattering the senses, both ears and eyes, whilst modernising; a tough one to crack ! To begin with, ‘The Fight Is On’, ‘Back To NYC’, and ‘Universal Breakdown Blues’ are re-released with brand new record sleeves. Added to that, three previously unreleased and outstanding tracks ! Steampacket Stockholm-based Steampacket was formed in the autumn of 1965. After three gigs in Sweden in the spring of 1966, the band went on touring in England, discovered that there was already a Steampacket which included Rod Stewart, changed its name to The Longboatmen but called themself Steampacket II back in Sweden. The band released eight singles but oddly enough never an LP. Today, the singles are collectibles and Take her any time one of the 60s best Freakbeat / Garage fuzz tracks ever. Straitjacket Straitjacket with Freddie Wadling on bass and vocals was one of the first punk bands in Sweden. The first gig took place at a motorcycle club and at a gig shortly afterwards, the band was offered money by the organizer to leave the stage prematurely. The band split in the summer of 1978 and the members continued in bands such as Liket lever, The Leather Nun and Blue for Two. Straitjacket never had time to make an album, but we have searched in the members’ stashes and can more than 40 years later finally release the mythical Gothenburg punks on LP. The album consists of a collection of demos and a live recording from the last concert at the legendary club Errol’s in 1978.

Geese is a band that begins and ends in Brooklyn, as a project between friends to build a home studio out of a basement. Their debut album, Projector, is born from the same ambition: make music by any means necessary. The songs were recorded with sneakers as mic stands and blankets draped over the amps, all within the afternoon following a school day, up until they ran the risk of noise complaints. As a result, Projector is as much a moment in time as it is an album. It represents five teenagers whose love of music touches every part of their lives: their restless anxiety about their futures, and their pent-up frustration with their present - a perspective all too familiar in today’s uncertain world. Perhaps then it only makes sense that the figure on the album cover was born from a dream: curiously alien, yet strangely familiar.

Rival Consoles returns with a resonant and explorative soundscape of original music, composed for renowned choreographer Alexander Whitley’s contemporary dance production Overflow. Exploring themes of the human and emotional consequences of life surrounded by data, the piece echoes the concept of social media, advertising, marketing companies and political factions exploiting our data to gain wealth, political advantage and sow division. Key reading for the project was based around the contemporary philosophical work Psychopolitics: Neoliberalism and New Technologies of Power by Byung-Chul Han. “The piece opens with Monster which has a kind of drunken madness to it, highly repetitive to mirror the repetitive nature of how we as humans engage with technology such as social media. It’s sometimes edging towards chaos but yet always returning back to the same starting point, but eventually giving way to exhaustion. I wanted to create a bold opening piece for Overflow,” states West. I Like features the mapping of data from dancer Tia Hockey’s personal monologue, which allows chords to be heard - but only based on the activity of her voice, drawing attention to things happening behind the curtain, invisible systems, algorithms. The album also features the previously released standalone slice of euphoria, Pulses of Information — described by UK mag Clash as “typically entrancing, Pulses of Information seems to encourage a form of internal dialogue, between our inner and outer selves.” Overflow was premiered by the Alexander Whitley Dance Company in May 2021 at the Sadler’s Wells in London and is scheduled to tour through theatres in Europe in spring 2022. The score will be released by Erased Tapes on limited edition vinyl and CD as well as digital formats on December 3.

Such a film was The Matrix. In the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, the art form we call jazz exploded into endless permutations, including free jazz, spiritual jazz, soul jazz, fusion, and funk. At that time, a number of black-run collectives organically sprang up across America, including Watts-based UGMAA (Union of God’s Musicians and Artists Ascension), Chicago’s AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians), Brooklyn’s CBA (Collective Black Artists), and Detroit’s The Tribe. And from Oakland came Black Jazz Records, founded by pianist Gene Russell and percussionist Dick Schory, with a mission statement “to promote the talents of young African American jazz musicians and singers.” Under Russell’s artistic direction, the label only put out 20 albums during its short, 4-year (1971-1975) tenure; and then, due to ownership issues and general neglect, the label went underground. Way underground, in fact… but not so far down that a new generation of crate diggers and DJ’s weren’t able to discover the label’s incredible array of modal, soul, funk, and free jazz, much of it imbued with the political and spiritual concerns of the day (and selling for a pretty penny online). Finally, in the ‘90s and early ‘oughts, the Black Jazz catalog emerged on CD in Japan; but for the most part, the entire label’s output was never reissued on vinyl anywhere. After years of trying, we at Real Gone Music finally were able to connect with the rights-holders in early 2020…right before quarantine and the subsequent events that triggered worldwide protests for racial equality. Obviously, the release of this politically aware material, originally recorded in an era of similar social and cultural ferment, couldn’t be more timely. But this music succeeds on a deeper level than just a reminder that the struggle against prejudice continues unabated 50 years later. It offers manifold moments of beauty that remind all of us of our common humanity and the love that, if we let it, binds us all. We are very, very proud to present the Black Jazz catalog on LP, remastered by Mike Milchner at Sonic Vision Mastering, and pressed on black vinyl at Gotta Groove Records with lacquer cutting by Clint Holley and Dave Polster at Well Made Music. Produced by Real Gone Music’s own Gordon Anderson, each vinyl reissue features the original black-and-white Black Jazz album artwork, which, on early releases, featured an identical front and back cover, with the back cover turned “upside down,” allowing for the album title to be visible regardless of how the LP was sitting in the record store rack. And, both our vinyl and CD releases will feature added liner notes by Pat Thomas, author of Listen Whitey! The Sounds of Black Power that draw a straight line between what was happening then…and what is happening right now. But that record was mere prelude for 1974’s Proceed with Caution; this time around, the arrangements were more complex, the instrumentation more diverse. In short, a quantum leap forward; indeed, as Calvin tells Pat Thomas in his liner notes for the release, “I started going to the Los Angeles School of Music studying orchestrations and I was putting it to use!” And he recruited the band to fulfill his ambitious musical visions to their fullest, including legendary drummer Leon “Ndugu” Chancler, fellow Black Jazz mainstays Henry Franklin on bass and Kirk Lightsey on keyboards, and Charles Owens (Horace Tapscott, Buddy Rich, Terry Callier, John Mayall) on sax and flute. Adam’s Apple was his last (1974) album for the label, representing the final note in his staggeringly creative crescendo. It was also the first record without Jean Carn, but Carn and crew (John Conner and Joyce Greene) don’t miss a beat on the vocals. And the band is absolutely sick, featuring reedman Ronnie Laws and fellow Black Jazz recording artist Calvin Keys on guitar, and led by Carn’s increasingly electronic forays on various keyboards. The result is a record that brings to mind Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters, electric Miles, maybe even Earth, Wind, and Fire (Carn covers EW&F’s “Mighty Mighty”), but all overlaid with an uplifting gospel vibe. Ask them if they are familiar with Eddie Hazel’s Game, Dames and Guitar Thangs. Chances are their eyes will widen, followed by an exclamation something like “I thought I was the only one who knew about that record!” Indeed, knowledge of this relatively obscure album is something of a secret handshake among axe men, because the guitar work on it is flat-out incredible. But then, you had to be a bad mutha to be in a band with George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and the rest of the Parliament/Funkadelic mothership, and that’s where a 17 year-old Eddie Hazel found himself in 1967, as the new guitar player in the Parliaments. Over the next ten years, Hazel would become an instrumental mainstay in PFunk, most notably on Fender Strat showcases like “Maggot Brain” and “Dollar Bill,” which he co-wrote. By the time he recorded this album in 1977, however, Hazel was out of the band, beset by personal problems that led to his premature demise in 1992 and which also explain at least in part why this album never reached commercial lift-off. All of the aforementioned PFunk notables are here, along with the Brides of Funkenstein on vocals, but this is Eddie’s show, as he lets loose with one coruscating, psychedelic funk lead after another over a mixture of George Clintonpenned originals and covers of “California Dreamin’” and “I Want You (She’s So Heavy).” And now you can get Game in two different ways: on CD with liner notes by former Minister of Information for PFunk, Tom Vickers, or on LP in an electric blue vinyl edition!

The inspiration came from a long summer-day drive with his 14-year old, Cook reveals. “My daughter entertained me with her favourite playlists, much of which were trap and 808-inspired. I loved them too, and a question was planted in my mind: ‘what would my music sound like mixed with those sounds?’” He wasn’t short on material to draw from; it’s been more than 25 years since the internationally-lauded virtuoso first stepped onto the scene with his now-iconic release, Tempest. Their fifth album Phantom Cabinet Vol. 1 is the result of Finland-based James Spectrum and Brooklyn-dwelling Paul Malmström trawling every corner of the Earth for forgotten instruments of yesteryear, spicing their music liberally with some of the strangest sound-making devices ever to have existed. Among SO much else Phantom Cabinet Vol. 1 features the world’s largest cowbell, a steam calliope (think fairground organ) that resides on Kentucky’s Belle of Louisville riverboat, a life size 18th century wooden mannequin woman with a clavichord built into her skirt, a Tibetan drum made of human skulls and skin (a damaru), a pyrophone (an instrument where music is made via actual flames), a synthesizer built for group sex, and the recorded birth wail of James’s daughter. Not forgetting the Last Trumpet that signals Armageddon in the Book of Revelations, as depicted in William Blake’s famous drawing and manifested using an ANS synthesiser created in Soviet Russia in 1938 that transforms images into sound. It features genre-spanning guest vocalists including the legendary Cyrus Faryar, prog-rocker Mikko Von Hertzen, jazzer Charlotta Kerbs, classical bass vocalist Tuukka Haapaniemi, and even boosts an appearance from the legendary Phil Brown (engineer on Hendrix’s ‘All Along The Watchtower’ and Zep’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’).

After opening West Africa’s first record pressing plant in 1967, Essilfie-Bondzie’s Dix and Essiebons labels were synonymous - for most of the 1970s - with the best in modern highlife, and his roster was a who’s-who of highlife legends. C.K. Mann, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Kofi Papa Yankson, Ernest Honny, Rob ‘Roy’ Raindorf and Ebo Taylor all released some of their greatest music under the Essiebons banner. Essiebons Special features a selection of obscure workouts from some of the label’s heaviest hitters. But in the course of digitising his vast archive of master tapes, Essilfie-Bondzie found a number of Afrobeat and Instrumental masterpieces tracks from the label’s mid-70s golden age that, for one reason or another, had never been released. Those songs are included here for the first time. Sadly Essilfie-Bondzie passed away shortly before the compilation was finished. But his legacy lives on in the extraordinary music that he gave to the world in his lifetime.

Del Water Gap is the solo project of American songwriter and producer S. Holden Jaffe, born in New Haven, Connecticut. Jaffe began recording in a converted storage closet at his boarding school in upstate New York, releasing a self-produced EP in 2012. Following a move to New York City to attend New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Del Water Gap grew from a bedroom project to a nationally touring band. His self-titled debut album Del Water Gap will be released this fall on Mom+Pop. The album will feature “Ode to a Conversation Stuck In Your Throat,” deemed an “ear-worm track” by Vogue UK and “Sorry I Am” highlighted as “Best New Music” on Triple J.

On “Sayonara / I’m A Swimmer”, Infectious Japanese Yé Yé beats swipe right on noisy, noir-tinged motorik excursions to form a psychedelic garage-rock power couple at 45 rpm. “Sayonara” bids a fond farewell to sweet memories of a lost lover with skewed-but-sugary ‘60s pop melodies, swinging, big beat drumming and no-wave guitar rave-ups like The Runners Four-era Deerhoof raining on Broadcast’s Tender Buttons parade.
