Susan Kullman, owner Scott, Denise and Whitey

Celebrate 100 years of the Berniker family providing your family with quality home decorating, goods and services! In 1914, Louis Berniker began sewing draperies on Bathgate Avenue in the Bronx. Today, his passion for hands-on involvement and impeccable customer service continues in Katonah with grandson Whitey, wife Denise and their son Scott. Making houses into homes is the Berniker family’s specialty. From color and design consultation to expert installation, they excel in drapes, shades, blinds and all window treatments. Scott is the only Hunter Douglas master installer in northern Westchester and they are a certified Hunter Douglas repair center. For stunning coordination, they also create soft accessories — pillows, tablecloths, reupholstery, headboards, bed coverings, carpets and area rugs. The Bernikers’ personal touch drives their showroom’s longevity. “We create relationships. We work with families for years. It’s not just our business. It becomes a friendship.” Hours: Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday to 4 p.m.

Susan Kullman, CYT, CSLC, CHC, founder/CEO of Intentional Wellness & Yoga and creator of the Bodyology System, brings balance, renewal, and joy to Katonah with her new studio. The center offers a full schedule of adult/kids/teens/family classes, wellness services and coaching, workshops, and the Bodyology System. Classes include all levels of yoga (mixed styles), kids/teens/family yoga, Pilates mat/core strength, meditation, adult ballroom dancing, restorative and therapeutic bodywork, Bodyology System group courses, holistic nutrition, and personal/health development coaching. She and her staff are a source of invaluable information they’ll share with clients through classes, seminars and workshops. There are energy healers such as EFT practitioners, chakra balancing and wellness coaches on staff. The studio has a wide range of health and well-being workshops like posture clinics, yoga for riders, and eating for energy, and is available for private functions, gatherings of the spiritual kind, and yoga-themed children’s and adult birthday parties. “I am thrilled to have my own studio in Katonah,” said Susan. “My intention is to offer the community a place to explore and practice many different modalities of connecting the mind, body, food and soul.”

Men, women and children flock here for cuts, blowouts, coloring and more! Fred’s is a walk-in salon, so head over when it’s convenient and you’ll be in a stylist’s chair in no time.
