T
he house is set well back on the 141 +/-acres, is not visible from the highway and is accessed through an electric gate with call button/keypad. Driveway from electric gate, circle drive to front of house, and driveway to three car attached garage and guest parking is concrete. There are woods, trails, a coastal hay field and a pond as well as a beautifully landscaped yard with water features and zoned sprinkler system. The exterior is Austin Stone and stucco with cedar trim, beams and columns and a standing seam metal roof. The many windows, including a massive glass wall in the great room let the outdoors in. Ceilings range from 10 to 20 feet and doors are 8 feet. The master suite includes a huge study, a bedroom with reading alcove, a bathroom with deep BainUltra air tub and large walk in shower with rain head and hand shower, separate water closet, a massive closet with 30 drawers, hanging and shelf space, and luggage storage. The study and bedroom each have access to the private master patio. The great room, dining room, kitchen and den are all open. The great room has a massive limestone fireplace with large mesquite mantle.
Display shelves on either side are lit with low voltage lighting. The dining room has built in china cabinets, also lit with low voltage lighting. The kitchen features a huge granite island, pendant lights, L-shaped perimeter honed granite countertops, lots of storage, and top of the line stainless appliances. The 6 burner gas range is framed by limestone wing walls, a cedar beam and a back wall of slate. The den has a stucco fireplace, slate hearth and a cedar mantle. Double doors lead out onto a large patio with living, dining, and outdoor kitchen areas. Off the den is the bar, powder room, desk, pantry and utility rooms. The bar has a granite counter top, bar sink, stainless under counter refrigerator/freezer/ice maker, stainless under counter wine cooler and pass through window to outdoor eating area. Desk area has built in glass topped desk and is backed with Brazilian cork. Powder room has granite counter top. The large walk through pantry has a granite countertop with cabinets on one side and opposite are eight 5foot x11inch pull out shelved pantry drawers. Above are cabinets vented and wired to accommodate the satellite, internet and surround sound equipment. The utility room has a granite countertop with stainless utility sink and abundant storage. Opposite is a utility/coat closet and the washer and dryer on 15 inch pedestals with cabinets above. Also in the utility room is a built in gun closet (keyed separately from the house) with spaces for 32 guns, The guest house living area has a built in cabinet for TV, kitchenette with granite counter top ,U-line icemaker/refrigerator and built in Sharp microwave. Pendant lights hang over the dining banquette which has a built in round pedestal table and storage cabinets underneath. Each of two guest bedrooms has a large closet with builtins and en suite baths,
each with granite countertop vanities. One has a walk in slate shower, the other a deep bathtub with slate enclosure. The house is prewired for internet, phone, sound, and cable and has individually controlled wall/ceiling speakers in all areas of the main house as well as outdoor living spaces. The house, guest house and barn are covered by a monitored security system. The central vacuum system has three sets of accessories and numerous access points in the house, guest house and outdoor living area. Flooring in the great room, den, kitchen, hall, study and master bedroom is mesquite. Master bath is tiled; master closet is carpeted. Bar, powder room, desk, pantry, utility room, guest house and all porch floors are slate. There are 17 ceiling fans indoors and in the outdoor living areas. The outdoor kitchen is built of Austin limestone with granite countertops, stainless utility sink, under counter refrigerator/ice maker, 6 burner gas grill and 2 burner gas cook top. The house is very energy efficient with three geothermal A/C systems, and an envelope of foam insulating the house, dual pane Andersen windows and 3 Rinnai on demand water heaters. Most have Duette shades. A programmable Lutron Homeworks Lighting System covers the house and guest house.
The barn is metal 2400 sq ft (40 ft x 60ft) on slab with 12ft eave walls, 6 skylight panels, three 12 ft x 10 ft overhead doors and a 4 ft steel walk through door. There is a separate electrical panel in the barn. There is an insulated and air conditioned shop/quarters inside (approximately 320 sq ft). There is a built in work bench and a refrigerator which conveys. There is a full bath with shower, lavatory cabinet and shelves.
