SPANISH LANGUAGE TRAINING SPANISH FOR NURSING ZHEC-200-103 - Saturdays, October 8 & 15, 2011 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM ZHEC-200-306 - Wednesdays, November 9 & 16, 2011 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM RACC, Schuylkill Hall, Room 210 This course is a comprehensive treatment of the language used by all nurses working in either a hospital or a doctor’s office setting. This course is intended for use by non-Spanish-speaking medical staff whether CNA, LPN, or RN, who wish to communicate directly with their Spanish-speaking patients. The goal of Spanish for Nursing is to prepare non-Spanish speaking nurses to use functional Spanish language skills to communicate professionally with Spanish-speaking patients and their families. This program was based on the Minimum Spanish for Maximum Communication™ principle developed and perfected by Command Spanish®, Inc. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required.
