NOTgone No Matter how LONG how FAR they have been gone THEY are never “gone” just LOST When the alarm goes off for too many times, we are immuned to the sound of the alarm. What stole away our natural love, compassion and righteousness? They are all excuses. Lost but Not Gone -- a campaign set up soley to re-draw the needed attention back on the missing children. Do not get it wrong, the children are lost, they are not gone. And yet, as helpless as they are, when lost, they are almost gone WITHOUT YOUR HELP. Therefore, with this campaign, we aim to remind the importance of hearing the childrens’ softest yet most desperate cry to receive help, and the urgency of every second that makes a child’s life after he/she goes missing. No matter who we are, and what we do, we can help with the slightest effort to remain vigilant. In this Issue, we will tell you the simplest ways not to pretend all this is not happening to you.

Angelina Jolie had a thrilling performance in movie Changeling based on a true story in the 1920s’ America, playing a desperate mother who lost her son but had never given up looking for him in the time of her life, despite the merciless ignorance of the society. Time and place changed, the subject never did, as the problem never did, just like the families’ pain never subsides, and their search and hope never end.
安吉丽娜・朱莉曾在电影《换子疑云》中有过一段让 人无法忘怀的出演：在20年代末美国背景下一位丢失 孩子的母亲，任凭时间流逝后旁人和社会的麻木和冷 漠，一生从未放弃过希望和对儿子的寻找。时空流转 ，有一个话题从来没有结束过，因为问题从来没有改 变过，就像家人的痛从来没有消失过，他们的搜寻和 希望从来没有停止过。
However, the public responses on the topic have turned numb along the last of the repeated claim. Let’s face it, if we are not a child, neither a parent nor a kidnapper, what is the deal of this to us? It is true that we have seen sad stories on TV and have cried hard for it, but when time passed and tears wiped away, after hearing and witnessing a child missing or begging for too many times, it becomes to us another unavoidable “society issue” that nothing we can do about.
可是对话题的关注度，却在渐渐麻木的气氛里冷却下 来。让我们面对这个问题：如果我们不是孩子不是父 母不是人贩子，这件事于我们到底有什么干系？可是 我们都是人，即使在我们最疲惫、理性和枯燥的工作 时刻里，我们都还是会被调研中遇到的每个故事触动 心脏。这些时刻让我们确定一件事情，无论今天这个 社会里的人有多忙碌多疲惫多有个性甚至多自私，组 成他们的人类真实感情必然显现。只需要那短短一瞬 ，我们这一切就值得。
But we all used to be a child and we will be a parent, it might not seem convincing yet but it is threatening us as it is to the other children and parents. The fact is that we need not to CHANGE anything, and there are thousands of society root problems and reasons behind this, but we need to discuss nothing about it. What matters to us is the result, which we wish could become a better one. Therefore, with a way that has not been seen much thus still a novelty, we hope to catch the public’s attention and have them think twice whether it is really that difficult to offer a little help to the desperate children and families. We are doing this not for the children that are already missing, but for much more children that are going to go missing. Because every little help of yours might not solve a complex society problem, but they do mean the world to every desperate child who may have the chance to be found again because of that little help of yours. We are not professional on the subject, and are with weeny strength; the only way we can affect the result by a little bit is to influence people and make them influence more people and more people to join us to care. We are not to solve the problem; we are to make one more kid return home. Till there, we would have regained the “lost but not gone” love and faith, towards the “lost but not gone” children and many other forgotten values.
再或者我们都被媒体里的悲惨故事感染流过泪，可是 时间过去，情绪复原。两次感染、三次流泪、无数次 听到这样的新闻看到这样的寻人启事路过这样的乞讨 者后，这变成一个司空见惯和“不可避免”的社会问 题无关痛痒地缠绕。可是有一天我们都是孩子，有一 天我们都是父母；组成我们未来社会的是这些将来也 许迷失、无爱、心理残缺或性格扭曲的孩子，和无数 绝望毁灭的家庭和心。这刻的每一个无关痛痒，酿成 的是国家与社会浩劫，关乎里面的自己。 孩子走失的太多社会因素，我们不去探讨和追溯。我 们只想用一些新鲜的方式，来重新引起大家的注意， 不为已经遗失的孩子，而为更多将要遗失的孩子们。 因为一个必然性的社会问题不会因此得到解决，可是 只要我们潜意识里多一分关注，每一个走失的孩子的 灵魂就多一分被找回来希望。 我们的领域偏差，力量微小，我们只有影响人们来支 持，从而影响更多的人来关注，才有希望对结果产生 一点影响。我们不能改变状况，只能让多一个孩子回 家。这样我们就找回了，我们对lost but not gone的 孩子和许多信仰，lost but not gone的爱和信念。
