2016/2017

Act in

ng Course

THIS MASTER COURSE IS DESIGNED TO TRAIN GRADUATED AND/OR EXPERIENCED ACTORS WHO WISH TO FURTHER DEVELOP AND RESEARCH NEW ACTING METHODS. IIt is suitable for theatre, film and television actors. Now is the time for new advanced techniques, which will make your stage presence stronger and more distinctive. We feel that there is a great need to create thoughtprovoking theatrical experiences.

The Course draws on the unique training developed by Grzegorz Bral and the Song of the Goat theatre practitioners, in combination with other advanced teachers from UK and overseas. We call this training a “Coordination Technique”.

YOU WILL EXPERIENCE 670 HOURS OF CONTACT WORK

DURING 6 MONTHS OF INTENSIVE TRAINING YOU WILL EXPERIENCE 650 HOURS OF CONTACT WORK TO DEVELOP AND EXPAND YOUR INDIVIDUAL PERFORMING ABILITIES.

NOTE: As Coordination training is deeply rooted in music, a significant part of the training involves practicing vocal music as a base for theatre making and drama. However, every acting tool, including your imagination and energy will be developed and strengthened throughout the process.

In the Voice and Speech Department you will learn how to approach a text with critical and analytical curiosity, using the best British methodology of working with pieces by Shakespeare and other writers. You will work on movement and psychological gestures to cultivate a greater understanding of the power and significance of physical action. By experimenting with your voice, you will connect with the depth of your imagination. We will enable you to fully master your stage presence through the study of rhythm and the use of rhythmical actions within performance.

The Acting Course is divided into two semesters. The first semester will consist of intense practical training for 8 hours a day, 4 days a week. The second semester will culminate in a production directed by Grzegorz Bral. The course will also provide a theoretical background on the “Anthropology of Acting, providing students a deep insight into the history and theory of different acting methods from around the world.

650 hours of contact work This course is directed by Grzegorz Bral with teachers and practitioners from the Song of The Goat Theatre (Teatr Pieśń Kozła) as well as highly qualified teachers and directors from the UK.

Students will participate in an original training program and will become an ensemble for the whole period of six months. This course will be accomplished with a production and audience performance.
