Communication This major opened my eyes to the fact that language shapes our reality, the way we think, act, and behave. I discovered that by simply changing the words that are used, individuals have the power to break down stereotypes, heal the broken-hearted, and right social wrongs. It gave me confidence to speak in front of people, and made me believe that through my words, I have the power to affect the world for Christ. The Com. Above all else, my biggest fear in life is public speaking . . . so the obvious choice was to become a communication major. I have given countless presentations to all sorts of audiences and I am always just as terrified as the first time I ever spoke.
