Concannon Alumni Fitness Center Hall The $12 million Concannon Fitness Center is an ideal training facility for today’s top athletes. The newly constructed state-of-the-art facility provides 13,850 square feet of dedicated fitness space, along with 5,000 square feet dedicated to the student athletes who compete in varsity athletics. The Fitness Center offers a variety of cardiovascular and aerobic exercise equipment with personalized entertainment screens with cable television throughout the two-level facility. Likewise, strength machines and free weights of varying fitness levels can be found on the upper and lower levels to meet the needs of all the athletes.

Alumni Hall has served as the home of Providence basketball since 1955. Since the Friars began play at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in 1972, the on-campus building has served as the team’s practice facility. This summer, Mullaney Gym was completely renovated with new baskets, new seating, video boards, sound system, lighting, scorer’s table, HVAC, and many other amenities. Over the last several years, renovations totaling over $4,000,000 have been made for improvements to the team’s sports medicine facility, the ticket office and lockerrooms. The coaching staff’s offices, film room and team’s locker room are among the other renovations that have been completed. One of the premier annual events at Alumni Hall is the team’s Late Night Madness celebration. Started in 1985 to a crowd of over 300, Late Night Madness now sells out each and every year with more than 3,000 fans in attendance.
