THE SKETCHBOOK PROJECT The Sketchbook Project is a platform for young people to show off their artistic skills by filling the pages of a blank sketchbook with original designs, writing, photos, illustrations, or anything else creative! In 2014, over 400 young people have participated, with sketchbooks being sent out to schools, groups and individuals across Western Australia. Once completed, participants sent their sketchbooks back to Propel Youth Arts WA, to be exhibited at the KickstART Festival. You can see them displayed at The Hive, and on Market Day at the Propel Youth Arts WA stall.

CROPPED SHORT FILM PROJECT The Cropped Short Film Project showcases films made by young and emerging creatives, offering them an opportunity for public exposure at the KickstART Festival. Uniting all parts of WA, this project encouraged creative people to create a short film or show off one they had already made. Films have been submitted across a range of styles and genres, but all incorporating the KickstART Festival theme of ‘journeys’.
