Lon Packer If you stop and think about it, four years is such a short period of time. I sit back and discuss with m y parents all the Parent's weekends we've been through trying tofindout what w e did each year. W e keep arguing about which year it was and w e just stop for a second to realize that it all went so fast. Well, to start m y thanks, I have to start with m y parents. Dad and Adrienne you've been such a huge impact on m y life. Dad. I really want to thank you for never putting pressure on m e to get certain grades. The way you only looked at m y effort grades made m e happy because you really just cared about h o w hard I worked, not if I was making the grade. This made m e work hard every single day of m y life, either in the class rooms or on the sports fields. Adrienne. I know our family has had its ups and downs . but you really helped m e oul more than you or I will ever know. W h e n I lost m y m o m . you took the lost part of m y life and made a new light for me. I m a y not call you M o m . but in m y heart you have taken where m y real m o m left off. I could sit back and thank and name all m y friends at Proctor, but that's not w h o I am. I have mei and made a lot of friends all four years at Proctor and I feel that I don't need to tell them lhat I'm thankful for their friendship , but if they don't know, I a m thankful. For the people v. ho really helped m e out through school. T o Joe Kahle: We've been going to school together sincefirstgrade. I can remember thefirstday of schoolrightafter our parents left, feeling so scared not knowing if w e were going to survive living at school. Well what can 1 say. here w e are ready to graduate. Joe thanks for all the laughs w e had. and remember even if w e go to different colleges. I hope w e stay in touch when w e are at school. T o Bert Carvalho: thanks for all you've done. All those assemblies that you let m e skip to study, and all those talks w e had. giving m e encouragement to succeed. I will really miss you and [f you don't mind, can I call you from college to complain about some of the teachers there'1 T o Dale : I only knew you for two years, hut in those two years you helped m e out so m u c h with all m y work. I always could talk to you about teachers and things and that helped m e to really relax. A n d also all those limes after class when you would help m e on m y papers on your o w n lime. It all paid off. I don't want to forget to thank m y old school. Jemicy, thanks for helping m e to believe in myself and I would have never made it this far without a school so special. Finally I'm done these d a m n quotes and I just want to sa\ no matter h o w tough it gets, it all pays off at the end of the road. T h a n k s Proctor and I a m out of here.

Ideals A s you think, you travel; A n d as you love, you attract; Y o u are today where your thoughts have brought you; Y o u W I L L be tomorrow where your thoughts take you. Y o u cannot escape the result of your thoughts. But you can endure and learn. Can accept and be glad. Y o u W I L L realize the vision (not the idle wish) of your heart. Be it base or beautiful. Or a mixture of both, For you W I L L always gravitate towards that which you Secretly most love. Into your hands WILL be placed the exact result of your thoughts; Y o u W I L L receive that which you earn, no more, no less Whatever your present environment may be. Y o u W I L L fall, remain or rise with your thoughts, your visions, your ideals You WILL become as small as your controlling desire. A s great as your dominant aspiration! by Janis Allan
