Question: Are we going to see a lot of homes listed for sale in January? Answer: I hope so! Inventory is still very low across the county...including here in the beach area. I know I have a few homes coming to market in early January so hopefully lots of other agents do too. We normally see a little burst of new homes hitting the market around the 2nd-3rd week in January. That lag is because agents/ sellers need a couple
weeks to get out of holiday mode and get their homes ready for showings, pics, access, etc. So look for that early next year and don’t be fooled by all the homes sitting on the market in December that cancel their listing at the end of the month and re-list “brand new” in January. That can make it look like more new homes hit the market than really did!
