This edition is not only about celebrating entrepreneurial successes but also taking pride in the fact that our women are shackling every barrier possible to pursue their dreams relentlessly. They’re unstoppable in their entrepreneurial endeavors, irrespective of any factor whatsoever. It doesn’t make much difference whether her brand is big or not or whether the industry she’s chosen is hyped or not, but what makes the charismatic difference is her courage!

One such remarkable example of women taking the entrepreneurial charge is the Founder and Proprietor of XYSTER Devices, Ms. Swarna Sunil Shetty.

It was in 1992 that Mr. Sunil Shetty and Ms. Swarna Sunil Shetty established XYSTER as a company that was involved in the development, manufacturing, and design of endoscopy surgical instruments. The duo’s commitment led to a significant acknowledgement of XYSTER across India over these years.

Under their combined leadership, XYSTER made a courageous breakthrough, establishing it as the most trusted destination for comprehensive solutions for urology, gastroenterology, gynecology, nephrology, and radiology. With a dedication to bringing disruptive innovation and improvement to the healthcare industry, XYSTER’s team continued working with a laser-sharp focus on quality and gradually carved a niche in the industry. Today, XYSTER holds the position of a prominent OEM manufacturer based in Mumbai, specializing in the research, development, and production of innovative medical products.

Pace Devices, having a registered brand name XYSTER owned by Mr. Sunil Raja Shetty, a prominent OEM manufacturer based from Mumbai, India, dedicated to pioneering research, development, and production of innovative medical products. Our focus remains steadfast on advancing the field of cardiology, with ongoing efforts geared towards the introduction of new and groundbreaking products. XYSTER DEVICES, founder by Ms. Swarna Sunil Shetty having Dealer\Distributor network pan India as well as overseas countries with a registered hub office at Dubai (UAE), takes immense pride in our diverse range of offerings, which encompass top-tier medical devices, including laser-compatible equipment, not readily found elsewhere in the Indian market. Our unwavering commitment lies in delivering state-of-the-art technology and solutions that cater to the ever-evolving demands of healthcare professionals. Balancing personal and professional life is indeed challenging, especially for a working parent. However, I have been fortunate to have a supportive family and a reliable team at work. We prioritize family time on weekends, ensuring our children feel connected and cared for despite the demands of our professional commitments. Effective time management and open communication have been key in maintaining this balance.

Being a Leader, is your story of struggle any different from others?

Every leader faces their share of struggles on the path to success. While the specifics may vary, the journey is often characterized by challenges, setbacks, and moments of doubt. What sets apart successful leaders is their resilience, determination, and ability to learn from adversity. My story is no different, filled with obstacles that I’ve overcome through perseverance and a steadfast commitment to my goals.

What kind of clients do you serve, any special mentions?

XYSTER serves a diverse range of clients, including medical institutions, surgical companies, and healthcare professionals both in India and overseas. So, I took a break from research and explored this industry, learning about new trends. The transition from a highly challenging academic field to entering into digital marketing was a profound breakthrough in my professional sphere. The lesson to draw from my story is that learning is a powerful tool, and it is very important to maintain a mind-set for continuous learning.”

While this expression is meant to convey strength and determination, it can also be limiting and reductive. In this essay, I’ll explore the myth of the” business legionnaire” and argue that successful women entrepreneurs embody a wider range of chops and rates.

Question 1: Can you please shed some light on the story that motivated you to start the company?

The roots of Gourmer Services trace back to my parents’ entrepreneurial spirit. Witnessing their resilience and hard work, I embarked on my own journey. From pursuing my passion for dance to venturing into fashion and film, the transition to the food and beverage industry was a revelation. Inspired by family values and an unwavering love for work, I returned to Gurgaon, where my parents’ catering business was growing. Combining my diverse experiences, I decided to focus on building something significant in the catering line.

Question 2: What are your mantras for striking a balance between your personal and professional fronts?

The delicate balance between personal and professional life is maintained through effective time management and a deep-rooted passion for my work. From pursuing fashion and film and working with giants like Netflix, Viacom 18, Paris Fashion Week, MX Player, etc., the journey

Staying at the forefront requires constant adaptation. Regular market research, engagement with industry trends, and fostering a culture of innovation within our work culture allow us to adapt to and meet the ever-changing trends in the culinary landscape. Another important role has been played by research and development in our growth. Exploring new flavours, culinary techniques, and sustainable practices through dedicated R&D initiatives has ensured that our offerings remain innovative, satisfying the dynamic tastes of our clientele.
