FOUNDED BY: Adnan Iftekhar who has founded a non-profit, 4 businesses (2 of which were profitable from day 1) and a school. He has studied and taught biology, french, math, dance, yoga, design, acrobatics and productivity on three continents to students ranging from age 2 - 82. He speaks 5 languages and still strives to make sense of the vagaries of the english language. Most importantly, he wants to transform the way we educate our children and redefine the words learning, educating, teaching and school.

Do you want to be part of a group that is interested in working with the community to make a difference? Where teen issues are discussed and where activities are planned for teenagers like yourself? The Teen Advisory Board is an organization that offers teens a chance to speak up on issues that concern you and your peers such as, the new skate park, dances, curfews, and much more. The Teen Advisory has already started to work some up and coming events for the school year. This should be a fun and exciting year so don’t miss out! If you want to be part of an organization where Teens are the Issue and where you can truly make a difference, join us the first Wednesday of every month. Applications must be competed to be part of this valuable team. Please pick up applications at the Red Morton Community Center and ask for Mark Yasuda. BRANDING, MARKETING AND IDENTITY NEW IN TODAY’S WORLD

BEGINNING DOG OBEDIENCE (DOGS 4 MONTHS +)

with Adnan Iftekhar. Adnan has founded a non-profit, 4 businesses (2 of which were profitable from day 1) and a school. He has studied and taught biology, french, math, dance, yoga, design, acrobatics and productivity on three continents to students ranging from age 2 - 82. He speaks 5 languages and still strives to make sense of the vagaries of the english language. A three part series on what embodying a brand means in today’s world. Part 1: Orange is the New Brand OitnB (if you don’t know what that is, you know what to do…) gives us an immersive perspective on an experiment that turned into success overnight. Well, almost. We will talk brand, identity and the defining moments of prison and how this legendary Netflix series defied convention - and won. Part 2: Branding Bad We continue our discussion of brand and identity by taking elements of this AMC TV series and analyze the obsession with fame and nonmediocrity in our society. Part 3: Game of Brands Believe it or not, the Game of Thrones is now being taught as a college level course. As a Fantasy series turns into a TV series, we will talk about nerds, geeks and how it is now cool to be known as one of “them.” CODE

Family Members Age 11+ with Paige Tyson. Questions about class content? Call 209.532.6269 Beginning: In this class, your dog is taught to sit, down, stay, come, heel and easy (walking nicely at the end of the leash without pulling). The dog is taught to move freely and easily with the collar, so one day you barely have to use it. The dog is also taught to perform things and to willingly do or not do things, not just be prevented from doing them. Verbal and/or physical praise from owner is given. This builds a relationship between owner and dog. Any specific problems you are having will be addressed and cured in class or by a lifestyle change at home. You will need a 6 foot comfortable leash. Instructor will supply the nylon collar.

FREE AGENT SPORTS LISTS Are you looking to play on a Softball, Volleyball, or Basketball team, but do not have a team to play on? If so, this year we have added a new “FREE AGENT FORM”. We do not place individuals on specific teams, but will provide a place where teams can go to find additional players for their teams, should they need people. Free Agent Forms can be downloaded at : www.quickscores.com/redwoodcity You will be required to complete the entire form, including what sport you would like to play, age, level of ability, positions you play, and a current photo of you. The form will be kept on file in the Sports Commissioner’s office, and only be used as a guide for Team Managers. If you have been placed on an old Free Agent list in the past, you must complete the new form for 2014. Incomplete forms will not be processed. Another way to find a team is to go to the games directly, and ask the managers. We’ll do our best to find a team for you to play on.
