ASSUMPTIONS Seekho can visit the 30 villages from where they want to select Village Visionairies Each of the 30 villages has some problem or faces a situation that requires improvement. Each of the 30 villages has at least one mini-problem that will take 1 week-6 months to solve. Using seekho’s existing philosophy, these problems form the basis of strengthening a community and mobilizing people. People will come to watch the street play that seekho enacts. Watching the street play will inspire villagers. Especially those who have an ‘activist’ spark in them. There is some amount of brain drain in the village, which is a population we would like to tap into, because those who have had this exposure feel the need to give back. People have more time on weekends so the programmes will take place then.

Each Seekho team member is equipped to lead a project in a village. Otherwise selection cannot happen simultaneously. Seekho spends at least 2 days in a village. The problem may or may not get resolved, but this will provide enough time to empower/ observe people and thus select for the interview stage Outreach efforts will translate to enrollment. i.e. people will show up for the community project being organized after watching the street play. Those who possess a strong desire to do something are ‘willing to let go’ and thus give up their time and effort to come and join the project. The seekho team member + village community will be able to identify a mini-issue to work on Villagers for the most part are okay with seekho coming in and helping the community take charge of their problems (no issue of ‘invasion’) Target population can read and write the local language.
