• EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: Register in person by April 6, 2012 and receive 10% off each child. • MULTIPLE CHILD DISCOUNT: After April 6, register one child at full price and get a 5% discount for each additional child. Camp discounts are not available online. • AVOID A PAYMENT CRUNCH: Take advantage of our scheduled plan that allows you to spread out camp payments between now and May 25.

REFUND POLICIES The Park District must receive a written request to drop or transfer at least two business days in advance of the first program date. No refunds will be issued after that time. A $5.00 service charge is made for each session dropped or transferred. • SUMMER CAMP REFUNDS: The above policy is in effect through 5/25/12. After this date, the Park District must receive written notice of a camp cancellation at least two business days in advance of the camp start date.

No FULL refunds will be issued; registrants will receive a 50% refund for each camp session dropped. FEES NOTE: Fees are listed as: R = Resident (of Park District) and NR = Non-resident. The Resident fee is paid by those who live/ pay taxes within Park District boundaries. If you are a resident, your property tax bill will have a line for “Pleasure Driveway and Park District of Peoria.” If you have questions regarding if you are a resident, call 688-3667.

Sommer Park 6329 N. Koerner Rd, Edwards (Conveniently located near Shoppes at Grand Prairie / Charter Oak Road) Ancient Oaks Day Camp is all about having fun and educational experiences in the great outdoors. Weekly themes reflect on a variety of fun events and plenty of hands-on activities. Located on 320 acres, Sommer Park consists of woods, open fields, hiking trails, ponds and a neighborhood park. Camp tours available by appointment. Ancient Oaks Day Camp is the best place to be this summer! We’re celebrating 42 years of memories for children and adults. Ancient Oaks Camp Extended Care: If the camp time (8:30 am-4:00 pm) does not fit your work/personal schedule, supervision is available at camp from 7:00-8:30 am and 4:00-5:30 pm. Cost is $15 per week per child. Parents are responsible for transportation. Camp Fee-R/NR: $110/$130

Summertime fun for the kids, convenient for the parents ... The way it should be! We have more fun than ever, mixing the best of past camp activities with new ideas to make this year’s program legit. Fun, non-competitive action themes, with activities like sports, games, arts and crafts, nature programs, fishing, special events, family nights, weekly swimming, and road trips (special trips). CampZone Camps are for boys and girls ages 6-12. Camp runs for 10 one-week sessions and meets Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Extended CampZone Care hours are 6:45a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m. A CampZone backpack, extended care, and special trip admissions are included in your fee. Come join us for Early Learners, a half-day preschool program for ages 4-5. Games, crafts, playtime, lead-up sport activities, and new friends make learning fun and natural. Our activities focus on socialization, and early childhood motor development. Camp meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. FINE ARTS CAMPS: AGES 7-12

Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the program site and to some special event sites. Campers should bring their own sack lunch. Drinks and snacks are provided. Camp fee includes all supplies, field trips, and swimming once a week. Dress for a mess. Camps meet Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Extended Camp Care is available from 7:00-8:30 am and 3:30-5:00 pm at an additional cost of $12 per child per week and a separate registration.

Our talented staff and special “guest stars” will instruct you in drama, dance, and musical skills while you and your fellow campers write your own play to be performed at the Glen Oak Park Amphitheatre. Other exciting camp activities include set and costume design, make-up skills, swimming and games. Hope to see you – ON STAGE! Camp fee includes costumes, make-up, cast shirt (one shirt per camper for the summer), and swimming once a week. Campers should bring a sack lunch. Drinks and snacks are provided. ZOO CAMP “WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE” GRADES K-8

At Peoria Zoo, 2218 N. Prospect Road in Glen Oak Park

Registration for Zoo Camp is through the Peoria Zoo only. Please call 681-3513 or email jroderick@peoriaparks.org to register. Do you love animals, science, or just plain-old having fun? Zoo Camp at the Peoria Zoo is a weeklong day camp program for children with a focus on learning about our animal residents. This year we will explore habitats, and learn all about where animals make their homes. Camp fees include a “zoo-riffic” t-shirt and group picture of the campers. What better way to spend the summer and explore amazing animals! »» Each Zoo camper will experience a program especially designed to meet the needs, interests and expectations appropriate to their age and developmental stage, so it is important that the age guidelines are followed. Please do not request to enroll children in other age categories. »» Every program includes the following activities: Animal Encounters, Science Experiments, Crafts, Story Telling, Games and more! »» Registration is required. To register, please call 681-3513. »» Programs will fill quickly and are on a first-come, first-served basis. »» Registration fees are non-refundable. »» Payment is required at time of registration. »» The Zoo reserves the right to cancel programs

SPRING BREAK BASKETBALL CAMP: AGES 8-14 Instruction will include shooting, dribbling, passing and defense. In addition to the basketball instruction, prominent speakers are brought in to give every day life skills to each participant. Are you looking for something new and exciting for the summer? Proctor Recreation Center is the place to be! Our Summer Fun Academy is like no other! In addition to the great field trips every Friday, your child will experience an abundance of knowledge combining classes and recreation. A typical day includes out-ofthe-box teaching in the areas of Math, Science, and Reading in the morning and a combination of sports and extracurricular activities in the afternoon. Sports help children develop physical and mental skills, get exercise, have fun and learn to play as part of a team while the classes keep their brains alive and engaged for the summer. Join the PAWW swim club and join over 250 swimmers who get lots of practice time at Central Park Pool, a facility that has been renovated to meet current USA swimming depth standards. The program emphasizes training, techniques and teamwork while offering some of the most experienced coaches in the area. It’s Easy to Join PAWW The PAWW Swim Team is open to anyone who can perform a simple swim stroke – there are no try-outs. PAWW coaches are on hand Monday through Friday after 5:30 pm at Central Park and Woodruff Pools. All levels are welcome.
