Digital Humanities. We bring multi-disciplinary perspectives and methods to our vibrant research culture, where ideas are explored and debated, theoretical and applied research interact, and everyone is part of our community of scholars. ABOUT OUR RESEARCH

• Curiosity and experimentation drive our research. We explore how digital technologies and methods can help us understand the records of the past and the present in new ways. • We experiment with how to represent digital information and knowledge, how to analyse and visualize large quantities of digital information, and the tools and infrastructure needed. • We question the impact of the globalization of information and knowledge and how we might better

understand our digital selves, cultures and societies. • We are curious about the interaction of technology and digital content with cultural and social processes, with how we read and publish, with how we make and tell stories, and how we create, keep or delete memories. • We investigate how we might connect, provide access to, curate, use, and preserve the deluge of digital information, and explore what it means for our privacy and our security.

If you are curious about exploring new areas of research with us, take a look at the academic staff profiles on our website and investigate our projects and publications. Feel free to contact us to discuss your interests and to explore what research you might undertake with us.

The Department at King’s is one of the most reputable Digital Humanities centres in the world. It proved to be fertile ground for my research in digital editing and consumption of music scores. The staff are remarkably approachable and helpful. The culture in the department is vibrant, with regular seminars on-site and meet ups outside of working hours. Raffaele Viglianti
