+ What left the strongest impression on you and is it evident on some of your photos? For me it is always impressive how close the life and death in the countryside are. Slaughtering of the sheep is just one of many duties farmers need to do during the year. The photo that represents it the best is the one where Ulfar holds the burned sheep heads. For us it looks a bit scary, but for him posing for such portrait wasn’t anything strange. + Would you be travelling again to Iceland for some other project? If only I have a chance to work there again, I would not hesitate.
+ Cosa ti ha maggiormente impressionato? È una cosa percepibile nelle tue foto? Per me è sempre impressionante quanto la vita e la morte siano vicine in campagna. Il macello delle pecore è solo uno dei tanti doveri che i contadini devono svolgere durante l’anno. La foto che rappresenta questo al meglio è quella dove Ulfar regge le teste bruciate delle pecore. A noi potrebbe sembrare spaventoso ma per lui posare per un ritratto di questo tipo non rappresentava nulla di strano. + Viaggeresti ancora in Islanda per un altro progetto? Se solo avessi la possibilità di lavorarci ancora, non esiterei a farlo.
