CORFU THE IONIAN GREECE

TOP TIP Hikers who climb to the top of Mount Pantokrator will discover one of the best vistas in Corfu. On good days the view encompasses Antipaxos in the South, Albania to the East and even Italy to the West.

18

CORFU GREECE

Named Kerkira in Greek, this is an island steeped in myth and legend. Modern and lively, ancient and cultured, Corfu can offer the perfect sailing experience to new skippers and old hands. CRUISING AREA Corfu has been a favourite with travellers for many years. It’s a perfect base for those wishing to sail in the Ionian not only because of the beautiful beaches, incredible history and authentic little village quays, but also for the great sailing conditions. Both history buffs and beach lovers are well catered for in Corfu. Take a stroll around the UNESCO heritage site Old Corfu Town, the Venetian Fortress or even explore some of the best archaeology museums in Greece. Alternatively sail to the stunning bays around Corfu, Paxos and Antipaxos renowned for the sheltered turquoise havens treasured by swimmers, snorkelers and divers. Why not enjoy the chance to swim in the Canal d’Amour – legend says that if you swim here with someone you love, you’ll stay together for life. Sailors could easily spend their holiday exploring Corfu, but those who want to go further afield can discover the southern Ionian and the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos, or even further south to Lefkas, Ithaca and Kefalonia. Otherwise, north of Corfu the quiet little islands of Mathraki, Othonoi and Ereikoussa await discovery. Become surrounded by ancient history, great legends and stunning waters in this northern corner of Greece.

ZEA SARONIC GULF ATHENS

TOP TIP Visitors to Hydra will fall in love with the island’s slow pace - due to a protection order forbidding modern vehicles, the only way to get around is by foot or by donkey!

24

ZEA ATHENS

Five thousand years of civilization crown the alluring city of Athens, king of the Greek holiday hot spots. From the ancient Acropolis at Attica to today’s Rockwave summer music festival, Athens has something to satisfy all ages and interests. On the water, the freedom and beauty experienced from the comfort of your own private yacht is just as captivating! CRUISING AREA The Cyclades’ name comes from the Greek kyklos meaning ‘circle’ because these stunning islands form a circle around Delos, one of the world’s most haunting ancient sites. For any adventurer, seeing any part of this circle is a rewarding experience. From our base at Zea Marina you can cruise around the Saronic Gulf and the many seaside villages and ports which have remained much as they were 100 years ago. Discover clean, uncrowded beaches among the windmills, monasteries and chapels of Kea and enjoy the silence at sedate, easy-going Sifnos. This is a place where natural beauty meets the manmade wonder of the Corinth Canal, the stunning Temple of Aphaia on Aegina, and the instantly recognisable Cycladic architecture. Confident sailors can catch the strong winds that will take them far out into the Cyclades – and they might even be rewarded with the sight of world-famous Santorini or mystical Naxos. Moor up at islands named after kings and gods and swim in bays far away from the touch of tourism. Exhilarating winds carry you along in a haze of whitewashed buildings and domed rooftops painted azure blue to mirror the Aegean Sea, where mere mortals have heard the call of the Sirens.

AT A GLANCE • Ideal for more confident sailors due to longer distances and strong winds • Great sailing from April to October • The Meltemi wind peaks in July, ideal for sailors wanting to go long distances • Shorter island hopping is also possible • Variety of mooring from anchoring to traditional village quays Yacht Availability CATAMARAN

If you can tear yourself away from the sensational sailing out of Turgutreis, there’s an overwhelming variety ashore too. Join an exciting excursion, revitalise your body and mind at a Turkish Hamam, taste exotic cuisine, or try your hand at light-hearted haggling with the locals at bazaars selling spices, silver trinkets, mosaic lanterns, leather goods and traditional ‘kilim’ carpets. CRUISING AREA You are truly spoilt for choice sailing from Turgutreis on the Bodrum Peninsula as it sits between the Gulf of Gulluk to the north and the Gulf of Gokova to the south. Whichever direction you choose, there’s an amazing array of local beaches, magnificent coastline and stunning islands at your disposal. The nearby city of Bodrum is one of the most stylish and popular attractions in the eastern Mediterranean. Here you can indulge in fine dining or dance till dawn at the world famous Halikarnas openair night club. Heading further east along the coast will bring you to Cökertme, a small village where you can watch the traditional carpet makers work as you dine. A quiet, sheltered spot for lunch is the protected bay of Kargilibuk. GÖCEK TURKEY

Become completely absorbed in the relaxed cruising along the ‘Turquoise Coast’ and the southern Aegean. Holidaying by Charter or even on the two week coastal exploration Flotilla with more challenging distances, you’ll feel your troubles slowly dropping away into the deep, calm waters along stunning mountainous backdrops in quiet bays. CRUISING AREA Wake up your senses with the revitalising holiday of a lifetime in this dazzling destination. Take a dip in Cold Water Bay (local name Bestas Limani), the refreshing natural spring which pumps out ice-cold water; try a cooling mud bath for the ultimate outdoor spa experience or how about parascending from the 3000ft Babadag mountain top? Whatever kind of holiday you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. Göcek Marin Turk is an ideal central start point. Head west past Bozburun, famous for fishing, sponge diving and the sweetest thyme honey in all of Turkey or cruise the Lycian coast to the east where high cliffs covered in caves, ravines and canyons meet fresh mountain rivers running to the sea. You have the luxury to choose secluded stops or lively harbours lined with good restaurants all serving delicious dishes that have descended from Ottoman Palace cuisine. At Fethiye, the oldest and largest town on the Turquoise Coast, you can haggle in the quirky shops selling trinkets and treasures. Around Kalkan – an old fishing town once inhabited by Greeks who left their legacy of white-washed houses – take a popular trip to the impressive hilltop ruins at Xanthos and visit the magnificent seven mile beach at Patara, one of the longest in the Med with Roman ruins to explore behind.

42

SARDINIA ITALY

Cannigione is an excellent location in the northeast of sunny Sardinia. Known as the Emerald Coast, this is an area of really outstanding natural beauty, home to the magnificent Maddalena Archipelago – a Caribbean oasis in the middle of the Med! CRUISING AREA

The sophisticated Emerald Coast is a sailor’s favourite in northeast Sardinia where prevailing winds ensure dynamic sailing. Our Cannigione base, on this 10km stretch of white powdered sand, has a great variety of watersports, swimming coves, chic resorts and small picture book villages nearby to try. Savour the top cruising conditions in the Tyrrhenian Sea and select your stops around the ever-changing sights of Sardinia; beautiful beaches one moment, then sand dunes, then cliffs and then a cosmopolitan atmosphere at places like the stylish resort of Porto Cervo. PROCIDA ITALY

TOP TIP Head over to Ischia Porto to see the famous Castello Aragonese. The medieval castle is rich with tales of blood and thunder. In the past the castle housed 1900 families, various religious orders and 13 churches.

44

PROCIDA ITALY

Procida is the smallest and oldest island in the Bay of Naples. Famed for its volcanic appearance and steep streets with colourful houses and churches. Explore the numerous coves and inlets and be sure to bring your walking shoes to make the most of the spectacular hikes through fascinating historical ruins and natural sites ashore. CRUISING AREA

Procida is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea within 5 miles of Italy’s west coast and one hour south of Rome. The archipelago of the Pontine Islands, only accessible by sea, remains relatively unknown and unspoilt, so it is ideal for anyone looking for an authentic Italian yacht charter and a less hectic holiday. As you sail towards Ischia to the west, through the clear blue waters perfect for snorkelling in, you will enjoy a warm Mediterranean climate as you pass flourishing gardens and fragrant citrus groves. Several quaint towns can be found along this charming coastline, which is also popular due to its volcanic thermal spas – great for revitalisation! Writers and painters have been attracted by the charms of Capri for hundreds of years, and the mysterious Blue Grotto and mighty Mount Vesuvius continue to entrance visitors. Volcanic walks are a popular pastime for keen hikers, and no visit to this area is complete without a visit to the destroyed towns of Pompeii or Herculaneum in the shadow of the volcano.

SICILY ITALY

A one-time Arab emirate and seat of a Norman kingdom, Palermo’s fascinating fusion of history, art and culture spills over the entire melting pot of Sicily with mighty Mount Etna looking on. Savour exhilarating sailing between visual and culinary delights like seafood specialities, fresh pasta and indulgent desserts. CRUISING AREA

Sicily is the Mediterranean’s largest island. Our base at the capital, Palermo, is perfectly positioned in the northwest for private or skippered charter around a spectacular rugged coastline, the Egadi and the Aeolian Islands. The largest of the uninhabited Egadi Islands is Favignana. Famous for tuna fishing, this traditional Italian island is a sun worshipper’s delight. Visit Marettimo the almost completely deserted ‘sacred island’ where time stands still, with walking trails weaving through lush vegetation and mountainous terrain. At Ustica – Italy’s first natural marine reserve – you can swim to inlets and natural caves or explore by dinghy, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. There are many quintessentially Sicilian towns such as San Vito Lo Capo in Trapani and Scopello, and don’t miss Lo Zingaro nature reserve along the west coast. Ashore, to the west of Palermo rises Monte Pellegrino, the 600 metre cave-covered mountain with Paleolithic Age carvings. The eastern coast of lava deserts and alpine forests is dominated by Mount Etna, which can be climbed during quiet periods by people entranced by this fiery giant.

TROPEA ITALY

TOP TIP Watch out for ‘cipolla di Tropea’, a flavoured gelato made with the local red onions – definitely an acquired taste!

48

TROPEA ITALY

One of the most beautiful towns in the Calabria region, Tropea sits on the toe of southern Italy’s boot. It is a famous bathing place, situated on a reef, in the gulf of St. Euphemia connected to the mainland by a narrow strip in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Azure ocean views, windswept mountains and magnificent white, sandy beaches are just some of the sensory delights here. CRUISING AREA For every noble palace and place of architectural interest around Tropea, there is a beautiful beach stop or gorgeous bay, making it a great destination for history-buffs and beach lovers alike. The summer is packed with street festivals and celebrations of everything from onions to live music. Tropea is your starting point for cruising the seven Aeolian islands (Isole Eolie) of Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Alicudi and Filicud. Part of a 200km volcanic ridge lying between smoking Mount Etna and Vesuvius above Naples, their unique range of volcanic characteristics have earned them a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Panarea, the smallest island is by far the most picturesque. Here you will find exclusive boutiques, restaurants and a buzzing nightlife as well as idyllic beaches and bays perfect for snorkelling. Five smaller islets – Basiluzzo, Dattilo, Lisca Nera, Bottaro and Lisca Bianca – lie in the vicinity of Panarea.

PALMA MALLORCA SPAIN

TOP TIP A fantastic market is held in Santa Catalina with plenty of beautiful eateries and stalls full of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables plus a whole range of trinkets.

50

PALMA MALLORCA

Each of the Balearic Islands has its own unique character and charm distinct from mainland Spain, although some traditions like the Spanish siesta and fiesta party atmosphere prevail wherever you choose to cruise. Despite popularity, Mallorca and her neighbours still have some hidden, less touristy areas best appreciated by boat. CRUISING AREA

Off the eastern coast of Spain, embark on an extensive Mediterranean open water adventure encompassing Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. With great beaches and bays, golfing, lively harbours, casinos, non-stop party pubs and clubs each island has a lifestyle, entertainment and cuisine of its own that’s just as varied and exciting as the sailing between locations. As the heart of a thriving yachting industry, Mallorca has well equipped harbours around 300 miles of mountainous coastline, peppered with tiny villages, sandy and pebbled beaches, vineyards, olive groves and orchards of orange, clementine and lemons. Thirty nautical miles south, Cabrera Archipelago National Park is a protected nature reserve with one of the best conserved seabeds in Spain. You can enjoy excellent scuba diving here in underwater meadows that attract grouper fish, octopus, loggerhead turtles and sometimes dolphins. The palm-fringed sandy beaches and clear, turquoise waters of Formentera lie just a few miles south of the renowned party island of Ibiza. For a more relaxing holiday, enjoy a half day’s sail from Cala Ratada on Mallorca to Menorca, the least populated of the main islands. SAILING

Rated one of the world’s top cruising grounds for its stunning variety and number of islands, you can discover secret coves, protected anchorages, lively ports and what seems like open ocean every day of your holiday. Soak up the warm summer climate ideal for swimming and snorkelling around the magnificent fjords and serene surroundings of Desolation Sound. The largest marine park in British Columbia, this area has more than 60km of shoreline and a maze of waterways with lakes and waterfalls at every turn. The Gulf Islands are a yachting favourite with a wide selection of safe and beautiful anchorages around numerous islets and stunning marine parks. You also stand the best chance of seeing pods of orca, humpback and minke whales here. Cruise across to the San Juans’ submerged mountain range of islands for lively entertainment ashore or explore the wild terrain of the Sunshine Coast above Greater Vancouver.

BELIZE

Belize has adventure and daily discovery guaranteed. Snorkelling, diving and fishing are out of this world and on land you can visit Mayan temples hidden in rainforests filled with exotic, colourful creatures. Sail northeast through the Inner Channel to Wippari Cay for as much water-based fun as you can handle. Test your shallow water navigation skills over the reef to South Water Cay, threading your way between Douglas, Spruce, Weewee Cays and ‘the badlands’ for a choice of restaurants with amazing snorkelling at the northern end of the reef near Carrie Bow Cay. An easy broad reach down the Inner Channel takes you to Lagoon Cay for incredible birdwatching – ospreys, frigate birds, pelicans and cormorants roost on the trees of the inner lagoon. Don’t leave without taking the Monkey River Tour from No Name Point, just 8 miles from Placencia and anchor in Placencia Harbour to try the village’s variety of mouth-watering world cuisine.

GRENADA CARIBBEAN

TOP TIP Sailors love joining the Hog Island Beach BBQ every Sunday and you can secure a mooring buoy for great snorkelling at Sandy Island’s secluded sand bank, Carriacou.

64

CARIBBEAN

Grenada may be geographically at the bottom of the Caribbean chain, but it is top of the Caribbean island list of sensational holiday destinations. Grenada guarantees outstanding sailing in exciting cruising waters, incredible snorkelling and a lively Caribbean welcome whenever you step ashore.

GRENADA

CRUISING AREA From the air, Grenada’s distinctive black sand and white sand beaches are surrounded by colourful coral formations. Volcanic origins created an island of great beauty and variety here with the 13 acre crater lake at Grand Etang National Park, rainforests, coconut trees and hot springs. Known as ‘the island of spice’ this is another exceptional Caribbean gem with a fascinating story behind every hundred year old fort and town or street name. Popular highlights include True Blue Bay for a romantic getaway, the underwater statue park in Moliniere’s Beausejour Marine Park Protected Area and also Ronde Island snorkelling (when weather permits) where you can look out for the rare and endangered hawksbill turtles. From St. George’s base you can create an exciting itinerary of real contrast in this Level 3 sailing area, mixing exhilarating blue water sailing as far north as Canouan with more sheltered, shorter hops. On the southern shore of Grenada, Prickly Bay is one of the best known stops, entertaining travellers with a steel drum party every weekend. The breath-taking Tobago Cays in the Grenadines are an unmissable paradise in this part of the world and a must-see on any charter in Grenada.

ST. MARTIN CARIBBEAN

TOP TIP Northeast of St. Martin is the deserted island of Tintamarre, where you can get the chance to snorkel with sea turtles.

68

CARIBBEAN

The French and the Dutch were far too civilised to fight over this island so they simply divided it equally and so it remains today St. Martin with a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ of French chic to the north and Sint Maarten with its relaxing Dutch liberality in the south. Welcome to an incredibly civilised world-class sailing destination!

ST. MARTIN

CRUISING AREA

Tiny seven by seven mile St. Martin has a huge reputation as the best of Leeward Island cruising. Superb sailing conditions secured St. Martin as host of the world’s biggest and most famous racing event, the Heineken Regatta which has taken place here since 1980. Beginning with just 12 yachts, the Regatta now attracts more than 200 boats and 2500 crewmembers from over 25 countries, racing to different daily finish locations over 4 days and then partying well into the night. For the rest of the year, you can sail in relative seclusion from Sunsail’s base at Captain Oliver’s Marina in Oyster Pond. Take on challenging blue water distances or short jaunts from one fantastic beach and snorkelling spot to another. Within reach, opulent St. Barths has been drawing big names and famous faces since the 1950s. Totally tropical St. Kitts lies a little further south or for unspoilt coral reefs and miles of powdery beaches head north to Anguilla. Wherever you go, you’ll find an unforgettable, full-flavour Caribbean experience bursting with colour, sound and life.

CRUISING AREA This active archipelago is the ultimate place to maximise instant accessibility to endless sports and activities in and around the incredible coral reefs of the Indian Ocean. Conditions for swimming, snorkelling and especially diving are superb – the water temperature sometimes reaches 29°C and visibility is 30 metres plus. There’s surfing, sport fishing, hiking in 3000ft mountains (some of which have yet to be properly explored) and bird-watching for exotic species like the black parrot and fruit pigeon. Last but not least, as a yachting holiday destination the Seychelles is, quite simply, heaven on earth! Begin your journey at the aptly named Eden Island Marina on Mahé, surrounded by three marine national parks and fringed with 68 perfect beaches. Explore Praslin, the second largest island, with one of the world’s most exquisite beaches, Anse Lazio and enjoy Bohemian La Digue, where bikes and ox–carts are the only transport.

VAVA’U KINGDOM OF TONGA

TOP TIP Whale-watching season from July to late October is a very exciting time of year to sail Tonga.

74

VAVA’U TONGA MAHÉ SEYCHELLES

In the South Pacific Ocean, north of New Zealand, the Vava’u island group in the Kingdom of Tonga is a sanctuary in our rapidly changing world. It is a privilege to sail in this peaceful paradise that has seen so little change in the past 50 years. The waters around the islands are crystal clear, pollution is minimal and the ocean is the main food source. CRUISING AREA As a respectful charterer in the Tongan Islands of Vava’u you will sail through lush turquoise lagoons, witness dramatic deep water drop-offs with giant fern forests and walk on fine white coral sand beaches backed by vibrant green coconut plantations. Our base in Neiafu, the capital of Vava’u, is an excellent starting point for exploring this archipelago, bursting with life. As you set sail from here, the seabed drops to around 200ft (60m) and it is no exaggeration to say that it’s like swimming in an aquarium. From late July to October you are likely to find yourself sailing among pools of humpback whales and dolphins and other breath-taking marine life such as sea stars, tropical fish, rays and turtles. To the southwest, Hunga Island is a huge lagoon formed by the crater of an extinct volcano with several excellent beaches and a restaurant serving fresh local cuisine. Swimming and snorkelling is incredible over coloured coral and all kinds of reef fish. At Mariner’s Cave on Kapa Island you can snorkel through the heart-shaped entrance into a mystical, blue-lit cavern. Swallows’ Cave is best seen in the afternoon from 1500 hours onward, when the sun from the west lights up the multi-coloured stalactites inside. SAILING

76

RAIATEA TAHITI MAHÉ SEYCHELLES

From islands crowned with high, jagged peaks to atolls or ‘motu’ that barely float above the water, Tahiti is a fertile vision of loveliness and a sublime sailing destination. Enjoy a welcome garland with fragrant flowers which – like this sailing experience – can be found only in Tahiti. CRUISING AREA

Enjoy an ethereal cruise of easy sailing and divine sights from our base at Marina Apooiti in the north of Raiatea – The Sacred Island. Visit Huahine – the ‘Wild Island’ with a handful of excellent resort hotels, good facilities, activities and watersports or spend some time at Taha’a – the sparsely populated Vanilla Island with the popular snorkelling spot of Motu Tau Tau. To the north, spend time at Bora Bora – ‘Pearl of the Pacific’ and playground to the rich and famous. Explore ashore by bike or join an operator on a fabulous manta ray and shark dive. In this simple and timeless destination, you can imagine ancient Polynesian voyagers in their huge, double–hulled outrigger canoes called tipairua, mastering the Pacific Ocean, navigating by stars and winds. Still part of everyday Tahitian life, the canoe is honoured in races and festivals throughout the islands. Sailing and sailors are held in high esteem and will find kindred souls at every stop.

SUNSAIL CATAMARANS

Sunsail 444

SUNSAIL 444 The air-conditioned 444 is the first catamaran in our fleet to have a covered forward cockpit, accessible direct from the main saloon. This alternative relaxing space guarantees you a place in the sun on board with front as well as back seating areas. It also helps channel the breeze into the interior, keeping you cool below deck where large double cabins feature private en-suite shower rooms with separate toilets. Low stern hull platforms make boarding easy and ideal for swimming and water activities. Launch and recovery of your dinghy couldn’t be easier with stress-free electric davits at your fingertips. A raised 360 degree helm station gives complete control from one place. Designed for smooth upwind performance and steady downwind sailing the 444 has limited roll. Sleek narrow hulls and a shallow draft allow access to even more stops on your itinerary. Full electronic navigation aids and 39Hp engines are standard with extras such as a generator solar panels for supplementary power and extended battery life.

Sailing a catamaran means enjoying all the exhilaration of yachting on a more stable platform. Their popularity grows year on year as people choose comfort and space for groups of friends and families to holiday together. Through our relationship with Robertson and Caine we have catamarans built to our precise standards to match and even exceed the needs of our customers, from the design down to the fittings.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION A-Z Guide:

Accuracy We published our latest brochures in August 2014. Our prices and information in those brochures were accurate on that date but they may have changed since then. We always check our properties regularly to make sure we’re giving you accurate information and we’ll tell you of any changes we know of when you book. If you’ve already booked, we’ll tell you about any changes as soon as we can. Bear in mind public holidays and religious festivals affect whether or not facilities are available. Also, it may be the case some facilities aren’t managed directly by the hotel and they could close without notice Age Ranges No under-18s can travel on their own. For Charters / Hotels, 2 to 12-year-olds are classed as children unless we say otherwise. For self-catering properties it’s 2 to 16. Air-conditioning Air-conditioning on our yachts and in Hotels varies by destination. Please check at the time of booking. Airline Rules Charter airlines aren’t allowed to carry certain nationals to and from their country of origin. This is due to licensing law restrictions with overseas aviation authorities. The current licensing laws, as of 15th November 2010, do not allow TUI Travel airlines to carry nationals of the following countries on their operating routes – Brazil, Kenya, and Morocco. Some other restrictions also apply… • Cuban nationals may travel to any international Cuban airport, except Cayo Largo and Cayo Coco, and must be travelling as part of an inclusive tour package. • Egyptian nationals, with official residence in the UK, can only travel on inclusive tour package arrangements, except when travelling to Sharm El Sheikh on a scheduled flight. • Indian and Turkish passport holders can only travel on inclusive tour package arrangements. Please check with your embassy or consulate before you book. • If you’re going to Goa, Kerala and Sri Lanka, on an Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Nepalese and Bangladeshi passport you can’t fly on British charter flights. This travel restriction doesn’t apply if you have a Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Nepalese or Bangladeshi passport but your spouse has a foreign – non-Indian – passport. Airport Assistance See Special Assistance. Air Passenger Duty “APD” is included in the price of your Sunsail Flight Inclusive Package Holiday or flight ticket. In view of the current volatility of world oil prices, a fuel supplement may be added to the price of your holiday at the time of booking Airport Service In most airports overseas, our Holiday Advisors aren’t allowed past check-in or into the arrivals hall but we will have staff waiting to greet you outside the airport. Advance Registration We may be able to advance register your holiday request before the release of airline schedules and relevant yacht fleet. Requests that are made more than 11 months in advance are subject to flight availability and prices. When you make a request you will be asked to pay a holding fee, however, neither party is legally bond to a contract until the booking and prices are confirmed and either party can withdraw without penalty up until the booking is confirmed. Once the fleet, airline schedule and or committed flight program is confirmed you will be given a priority option to book and advised accordingly of the yacht, airline, flight times and day of departure. If you confirm the booking, the holding fee will be transferred to a deposit. Should the final program not be suitable you can withdraw with a refund of the holding fee or you can move the holding fee to a deposit on an alternative holiday with Sunsail with no amendment fee charged. An invoice will be issued once flights and or yacht has been confirmed. Alcohol During your flight, you can only drink the alcohol our cabin crew serves you. API – Advance Passenger Information Mainstream You, and all members of your party, must tell us certain information that we’ll send to government authorities and border control and security agencies for the purpose of immigration, security and counter terrorism. This is known as Advanced Passenger Information, or APIS. It may also be referred to as E-Borders in the United Kingdom. The information you must provide will include, but not be limited to, your full name - as shown in your passport or travel document, gender, date of birth, travel document type, number, country of issue and expiry date. And for travel to the United States, your country of residence and the address for your first night’s stay too. You must provide this information to the airline between 6 months and 24 hours before departure. For Thomson Airways flights you can do this by visiting http://eapi.thomson.co.uk or by calling 0203 451 2706. You’ll need your booking reference number, the lead passenger’s surname and your date of departure to access the site. Sunsail - At the time of booking your holiday you are required to provide Sunsail with all the information to conform with the API scheme an levied by the

94

airlines. Names provided by you will be used to issue your flight travel documentation and must match exactly as it’s shown on your passport. Failure to do so may result in a member of your party being refused for travel. API is also required to conform with local port police regulations in order to issue charter license papers required as part of embarkation process. Failure to do so may result in a delay upon arrival and embarkation process and boarding refused. Boat Only You can simply choose to book a boat only yacht charter or Flotilla. This does not include flights and transfers. Where you have booked a boat only with Sunsail you will be sent an invoice which will detail your boat only price and other mandatory costs associated with chartering a boat from Sunsail and any additional extras. Beaches Many of the beaches in our resorts have been awarded the Foundation for Environmental Education’s Blue Flag. The programme awards beaches and marinas that meet its high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, safety and environmental management. For details, visit www.blueflag.org. When you’re on the beach, make sure you check any flag warning systems and take local conditions into account, particularly things like undercurrents and tides. You’ll also need to supervise children at all times as most beaches won’t have a lifeguard. You may find that public beaches are closed at certain times, particularly in low season. Beach closures are carried out by local authorities so are beyond our control. One more thing, you may need to pay to use some beaches, especially in Italy. Building work From time to time, building work, expansion, redevelopment and associated noise is unavoidable at our bases. Wherever possible we will notify you in advance and if we consider the work will have a significant effect on the enjoyment of your charter, you will be entitled to exercise the options outlined in the section headed “If we Change or Cancel your Charter Brochure Accuracy The brochure is prepared from information gathered prior to publication. Every care is taken to ensure that this information is still correct at the time of going to press (August 2014) but it has to be remembered that facilities may be withdrawn from Sunsail and holiday particulars altered as a result. These circumstances are regrettably beyond our control and we are unable to accept liability. Our Sales Team are instructed to advise enquirers of amendments which the company regard as significant. Sunsail shall be entitled to make any modifications it feels appropriate to the routes, yachts and the equipment provided at any time, without prior notice. Our Holiday Planning Team are often asked for information not contained in the brochure. However, whilst every effort is made to ensure that all information given is correct, Sunsail cannot however be held responsible if this should prove inaccurate, unless requested and answered in writing. Any changes or updates made to our products will be listed at www.sunsail.co.uk/ brochure-amendments. Check-in For Your Flight We recommend you arrive at the airport at least three hours before your scheduled departure time. If we think you may be under the influence of alcohol or pose a threat to passengers or crew, you won’t be able to fly. The same applies if you smoke, use insulting or abusive words before or after you board. If that happens, we won’t be responsible for your holiday arrangements and we won’t give you a refund, pay compensation, or cover any other costs. We may even seek compensation from you for any loss caused by your behaviour. This includes having to divert the plane. It’s also a criminal offence to cause disruption on board, so you may be prosecuted. Airlines may also share details about your behaviour with other airlines, which could affect future trips. Online Check-in You’ll be allocated your seats when you check in online. If you don’t like the seats allocated, you can pay to select your seat. Sometimes we may need to change the seat allocated to you for operational or safety reasons or for persons with reduced mobility. Boarding cards must be printed on A4 paper and be clearly legible with no rips or tears. You must drop your bags off before bag drop closes, 45 minutes before your flight time. Just so you know, if you choose not to use our online check-in service, we reserve the right to charge a fee for airport check-in. Please also see Section 14 of Our Agreement with You and Yours with Us. Check-out Check out / dis-embarkment / departure time varies by destination. You will be briefed on arrival. Connecting Flights If you require connecting flights to meet your package booked by Sunsail we can arrange this for you subject to availability and price. We will arrange tickets with flexible terms and conditions. Your connecting flight will be subject to the airline terms and conditions (a copy of which can be provided upon request). Please note that Sunsail will be acting as agent in this transaction and your contract will be with the airline. Any issues with your connecting flight must be

taken up by you with the airline. Should you choose to arrange your own non-flexible tickets (usually cheaper with very strict restrictions) please note this is at your own risk and we cannot accept responsibility for any extra costs incurred due to changes in our committed flight program or delays. ESTA See Visas. Flight Times Actual flight times are on your tickets. They are local times based on the 24–hour system. We can’t guarantee the flight times in our brochure, on our website or on your booking confirmation won’t change, so please always check your tickets. Some flights may need to stop en-route. Where we know about this in advance we will advise you and this will be highlighted on your travel documentation. Flight Delays It is regrettable, but flight delays may occur. Where the delay is caused by the airline, accommodation, food and refreshments may be provided by the airline. In addition if you have taken out Sunsail’s personal travel insurance you will be entitled to claim the following: • £20 compensation for the first full 12 hours of delay • £10 compensation for each subsequent full 12 hour delay up to a maximum of £100 per person in total. Flying With Children Infants less than 14 days old are not allowed to travel. Any child over 14 days and under two years old on the date of their return travel is classed as an infant. Infants must sit on an adult’s lap and wear an extension seatbelt. If your child reaches their 2nd birthday while you’re away you’ll need to allow for this when you book. All children aged two and

above must have their own seats on the plane. If you’ve paid for an additional seat for your infant, you can use your own car seat as long as it has a single release harness. It needs to be facing forward on the aircraft seat, designed to be secured by lap belt alone, and must conform to EU safety standards. You’ll also need the instruction leaflet to show the cabin crew if they need it. The seat mustn’t be more than 16 inches or 40cm wide. You can’t use carrycots and deluxe child car seats, as they won’t fit. The use of car seats will be at your airline’s discretion. Airlines registered outside the UK may have their own rules. Call Thomson Airways for information on approved car seats. You’ll find the number at the end of this guide. Foreign Office Advice When assessing whether our holidays will operate we use information from our local offices in conjunction with advice from the British Foreign Office and other relevant government bodies. It is your responsibility to acquaint yourself with the travel advice provided by these government bodies. At the time of publishing this brochure no compulsory vaccinations were required for British Citizens visiting any of the destinations featured in the Sunsail brochure, however some precautions such as malaria tablets and typhoid immunisation may be recommended for travel to some of our destinations. We strongly recommend that you refer to the Department of Health’s ‘EHIC and health advice for travellers’ web page at www.dh.gov.uk or consult your family GP for further details. If you are a UK resident you are entitled to reduced-cost, sometimes free medical treatment that becomes necessary while you’re in a European Economic Area (EEA) country. You can apply for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) online, www. dh.gov.uk/policy, by phone 0845 606 2030, or by post using a pre-addressed envelope from the Post Office. Four Hour Guarantee We maintain our yachts to the highest standards, and back up our commitment to these standards with this Guarantee: should you experience a technical problem during your charter, we will complete repairs within four hours of notification of our nearest base, or we offer a credit towards a selected Sunsail product. The Sunsail Four Hour Guarantee covers all equipment considered essential to the operation of the yacht including engine, transmission, windlass, sails, standing and running rigging, battery and alternator.

Fuel Options For Sunsail Flotilla Holidays fuel is included, however on Yacht Charters it is not. All bookings for yacht charters will automatically be priced to include the standard one tank of fuel at the point of sale and on the booking confirmation. It gives you peace of mind and is convenient as you are not required to return the yacht with a full tank of fuel. Alternatively, you can opt to pay for your fuel locally but you MUST ensure your yacht is returned to the base with a FULL TANK. This option is not recommended in many of our bases as there are no opportunities to refuel before returning to the base to commence disembarkation process whilst chartering. Health And Hygiene Hygiene standards are generally lower than in the UK – particularly in developing countries. Having said that, you can help to improve hygiene levels by taking a few basic steps… • Wash your hands after going to the toilet • Do not empty yacht tanks into the sea We are able to advise on mandatory health requirements; however, we are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice at least two months prior to travel and then again at 14 days, for the latest health requirements, recommendations for your destination and any costs. Where you do not do so and either are not allowed to enter any country, or suffer personal injury or death as a result, we have no liability to you for any cost, loss or damage which you suffer nor will we refund you the cost of any unused portion of your travel arrangements. Insurance You’ll need to take out a suitable insurance policy for you and anyone travelling with you. This includes infants and children. We’ll tell you about our insurance policy when you book. If you choose not to take out our insurance, you’ll need to tell us who you’re insured with. We’ll need the company details and your policy number before you travel. We can’t accept responsibility for any loss that you or anyone travelling on your booking suffers if the individual isn’t adequately insured. As with all insurance policies, terms and conditions apply, so you need to make sure you’ve got the right policy for you. See Delays for more details. If you’re travelling to the European Economic Area you’ll also need a European Health Insurance Card. You can apply at www.ehic.org.uk. You’ll need to have both this card and adequate travel insurance. For travel to Cuba, you need to show proof of medical insurance before you can enter the country. So have a copy of your valid insurance policy with your tickets and passport for when you get to your resort airport. Visithttp.//www.cubaminrex.cu/ English/LookCuba/Articles/Others/2010/06–04. html for details. Late Bookings If you book your holiday within 10 weeks of departure there may be extra charges, and you may have a reduced checked-in luggage allowance. Please check for details when you book. Local Laws Sometimes local laws, religious customs or events mean facilities aren’t available. For example, in all Muslim countries during the month of Ramadan, bars and restaurants – including hotel restaurants – change their opening hours. You may not be allowed to eat, drink or smoke in public areas during daylight hours either. Drinking and gambling ages vary by destination. It’s a good idea to find out more before you travel. For the most up-to-date information, we recommend you check http://www. fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/ travel-advice-by-country/ Lost Property If you leave something behind on the plane during your flight out, you’ll need to contact the overseas airport and ask them to check their lost property. If it’s on your flight home, let us know and we’ll do our best to track down the item for you. If you leave what we class as a ‘valuable item’ on your yacht / hotel, like a camera, a laptop or a wallet, we’ll do our best to find it for you. However, there is a charge for this and you’ll need to pay an admin fee. If we can’t find your item, we’ll send you a statement to support your travel insurance claim. For help with lost property, please call 0203 451 2513. Luggage Please make sure you know your limits so your trip can get off to a smooth start. Luggage allowances vary, and could change, so please check when you book. Medical Conditions On Your Flight If you have a medical condition, a serious illness, or you’ve recently had surgery or an accident, you’ll need to be cleared for travel by the airline. You may also need a ‘Fitness to Fly’ certificate from your GP. Conditions that need medical clearance include respiratory, coronary or infectious illness. You’ll need to give your request for medical clearance to the airline at least four working days before you’re due to fly. The risk of deep vein thrombosis while flying is extremely low but is still a serious medical condition. DVT is when a blood clot forms, usually in the lower leg, sometimes because of sitting still for a long time. It needs treatment with blood-thinning drugs to prevent clots breaking off and travelling to the

uses a wheelchair or has difficulty in walking, our Customer Welfare Team can tell you which properties have things like ramps and specially adapted rooms - their contact details are at the end of this guide. Also, if you’ve got any medical or dietary needs, they will do their best to help. On Your Flight - If you or a member of your party is disabled, uses a wheelchair, can’t walk more than 500 metres without help, or has difficulty climbing the aircraft stairs, EU regulations say you should notify us of your assistance needs before travel. You can do this by contacting our Customer Welfare Team. You’ll need to do this at least 48 hours before your departure. If you don’t book ahead, we’ll provide reasonable assistance at the airport, but those who’ve pre-notified us will always take priority. Transfers - If you aren’t able to use our coach transfers, we can arrange a taxi transfer if you tell us in advance by contacting our Customer Welfare Team. Bear in mind, there is a charge for this. See Medical Conditions and Wheelchairs. Taxes You may need to pay a tourist tax. These change regularly so check before you go. Transfers The transfer times we give you are a rough guide. They don’t allow for delays to incoming flights or local traffic conditions. In terms of the type of transfer you’ll get, it depends on the holiday you choose so please check when you book. Just so you know, if your holiday includes a coach transfer, we may occasionally need to change this to a minibus or taxi. Vaccinations Speak to your doctor at least two months before you’re due to go away. Some treatments, for malaria for example, should begin well before you go. If you’re booking within three weeks of your departure, speak to your doctor before you book. There’s more information available in the Department of Health’s free leaflet – Health Advice for Travellers. Call 0800 555 777 for a copy. Visas The best place for up–to–date information on visa and travel advice is the Foreign Office. Visit www.fco.gov.uk/travel or call 0845 850 2829. There may be specific entry requirements for under-18s, depending on your destination. For example, if a young person is travelling without both parents, there may be extra costs and they may need extra legal documents such as an affidavit, from a notary public. Always check with the consulate or embassy of the country you’re travelling to before you book. If you haven’t got a British passport, you’ll need to check entry requirements with individual embassies or consulates. Turkey: You’ll need a tourist visa to travel to Turkey. You can apply for a visa online at www. evisa.gov.tr before you go. It costs US$20, payable by VISA/MasterCard debit or credit card only. Alternatively you can pay £20 in cash with a new note when you arrive. Please note, if you’re arriving in Turkey after 31st December 2014 you will only be able to apply for a visa online. We recommend you visit the FCO website for the most up-to-date information www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/turkey. United States: You’ll need to register for Electronic Travel Authority (ESTA) before you go. To apply, visit https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov. There’ll be a charge of US$14.00 which you’ll need to pay by card when you apply. Without ESTA authorisation you may not be allowed to board your flight, you could be delayed during security processing or denied entry into the United States. That said, these documents don’t guarantee entry into the United States. As with most countries, immigration officials make the final decision. If you’re denied entry, you’ll still * Please note: that if the yacht is left in an unreasonable condition, we reserve the right to charge for yacht cleaning locally.

need to pay cancellation charges for your holiday as we explain in Your Agreement With Us. One other thing, if you’re changing your name on your passport – for example, if you’re getting married – it’s best to register for ESTA using your maiden name if your new passport doesn’t start until 72 hours before your departure. Otherwise, you may not get authorisation to travel. Visa, Passport and Travel documentation It is essential that you ascertain whether or not you can obtain relevant visas and inoculations before making your booking, particularly for late bookings. Whilst we are able to provide basic advice to clients regarding passports and visa requirements, you should check with the appropriate Embassy, Consulate or British Foreign Office for the exact requirements for your chosen tour and date of travel. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct passport and visas to gain access to any country/region included in the travel arrangements which you purchase from us. If you fail to do so, we have no liability to you for any cost, loss or damage which you suffer, nor will we refund you the cost of any unused portion of your travel arrangements. In some cases, countries will refuse entry to clients who have criminal records. Should you be concerned about this, please check with the embassy or consulate of the countries to which you are travelling. The lead name is entirely responsible for ensuring that all members of the group have the correct and valid documentation for travel. We cannot accept responsibility for any failure to comply resulting in any costs or fines being incurred and we advise you to check with your passport office or the consulate in question if you have any queries. Clients travelling overland to certain destinations may need to also pass through controls of other countries en-route so this should be allowed for with any passport/visa applications. When travelling to the US you must have the correct passport to travel on the Visa Waiver Programme or have obtained the correct visa, valid for your stay. Each person wishing to visit the US must have either; i) an e-passport (if your passport is issued after 26 October 2006), or a machine readable passport (containing a digital photograph) if your passport is issued after the 26 October 2005 and a Visa Waiver Form or ii) a valid passport and a valid visa which must be obtained before travel from the US authorities. If you are travelling to the USA, the US authorities have introduced a requirement for passengers travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme to register for Electronic Travel Authority. For additional specifics about the VWP please consult the VWP information on the U.S. Embassy London website www.usembassy.org. uk. We recommend that you carry your ESTA approval with you when you travel and recommend you register at least 72 hours before departure. Please Note: when you register for ESTA you must have a valid passport at the time of registration. If you have applied for a post-dated passport (for example to reflect a change in name) this passport will not be valid until the effective date noted in the passport. Children and minors wanting to travel with a Visa Waiver form must hold their own Machine Readable Passport or e-passport. Please note that the nationals of some countries can only travel to the US if they have a valid visa as they are not eligible for the Visa Waiver Programme. Weather There are sometimes tropical storms and hurricanes in Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico between June and November. It’s impossible to predict their path or how long they will last more than three of four days in advance, and often it’s much less. South-east Asia may be affected by its monsoon season, typically May

lungs. You can take precautions to reduce the risk. People most at risk include those with a history of bronchial or circulatory problems, thrombosis, those recently hospitalised, smokers, the obese, those with congestive heart failure, a malignant disease, pregnant women or women taking the contraceptive pill. To reduce the risk, exercise your legs from time to time, or walk around if possible. Elastic stockings may be helpful. Drink plenty of non–alcoholic liquids to prevent dehydration. See your doctor if you think you may be particularly prone to DVT. If you think you might need to ask for therapeutic oxygen during your flight, please contact your airline for details at least one month before your departure date. Thomson Airways does not charge for this, but you must request it in advance so we can confirm that it’ll be available for you. Contact our Customer Welfare Team for more information – their number is at the end of this guide. See Special Requests for more details. At Your Destination If you have specific medical needs, think about whether the healthcare system in the destination you’re looking at is likely to be able to meet those needs, if you have any problems while you’re away. Consider things like the country’s state of development and its size. You may find it helpful to look at http://www.fco.gov. uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/. Passports The name in your passport must match the name on your ticket otherwise you may not be able to travel and your insurance could be invalid. If someone in your group changes their name after you have booked, tell us and we’ll issue the ticket in the new name. If you’ve already received the ticket, return it and we’ll send one with the correct name. There may be a fee for this change. Your name must match your ticket and passport. This includes your initials, and how your name is spelt. Photography An essential part of the success of our brochures is using photography that gives clients a true idea of the product, rather than using models. Photographers are occasionally in our cruising areas. If you have any strong objections to close up photography of yourself and your party, please indicate your feelings to the photographer at the time. Pregnancy You can travel with us up to the 28th week. If you’re more than 28 weeks at the time of your flight home, you’ll need a medical certificate from your GP. It must state there are no complications and give the dates of your pregnancy. If you’re more than 36 weeks at the time of your flight home, they’ll refuse to take you. If you’re expecting twins or more, you must return by the 32nd week. Please check your insurance policy for any restrictions that apply. Many policies only cover up to the 28th week. You should also check with your Holiday Advisor that you can travel on your chosen flight. Prices Our brochure prices are accurate at the time of publication, but you should only use them as a guide. The price we give is the lowest for the specified departure period and will depend on whether you’re travelling in low, mid or high season. Depending on how many holidays are available, we may change prices throughout the season. Please also see Special Offers. Racing Regattas Sunsail clients choosing to participate in sailing regattas will be required to pay a nonrefundable race supplement in advance plus a refundable security deposit payable at the base for rigging or collision damage. This is payable by credit or debit card in addition to the relevant Yacht Damage Waiver. All clients planning to participate in a sailing regatta are required to obtain prior consent from Sunsail. Please call the sales team for more details of the individual Regattas available and the relevant terms associated to each. Please note the race supplement is a charge omitted from any discount. Safety Overseas’ safety standards are generally lower than ours in the UK. We take reasonable care to make sure only reputable businesses provide the services that make up our holidays, and we expect them to provide those services in line with local standards. Safety & Sailing Qualifications • For sailing qualifications requirements please visit the essential information section of your destination or visit www.sunsail.co.uk/sailing-cv Scuba Diving We recommend you check with your doctor before you go. It’s also dangerous to fly within 24 hours of scuba diving. This is because pressure changes might cause ‘the bends’ or even in severe cases, paralysis. Of course, you also need to make sure you have adequate insurance cover. Select Your Seat – please contact your airline Skippers If you have a Skipper on board your yacht – The Skipper must have their own cabin. You are required to provide provisioning (food and drink) for the Skipper throughout the duration of the holiday. You may take the Skipper with you when go out for dinner, but are not required to. If you wish to set your own itinerary, please discuss this with the Skipper at the earliest opportunity. Smoking All our flights are non-smoking. Check the individual descriptions for details. BOOKING CONDITIONS All holidays advertised in our brochures and on our website are operated by either (i) Sunsail Limited (Company number: 1239190) where your booking is for a Sunsail branded holiday travelling to any of our overseas worldwide destinations; or (ii) Sunsail Worldwide Sailing Limited (Company Number: 1658245) where your booking is for a Sunsail branded holiday travelling within the UK hereinafter referred to as ‘the Company’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’. Each of the companies mentioned above is a member of the TUI Travel PLC group of companies, of TUI Travel House, Crawley Business Quarter, Fleming Way, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9QL and all holidays are sold subject to the following conditions: Insurance Please Note: Adequate and valid travel insurance is compulsory for all our travellers and it is a condition of accepting your booking that you agree you will have obtained adequate and valid travel insurance for your booking by the date of departure. Please note that by asking us to confirm your booking you accept the provisions of this clause and agree that you will sign the local charter upon arrival at the base. 1. Your Financial Protection 1.1 The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 require us to provide security for the monies that you pay for the package holidays booked from us and for your repatriation in the event of our insolvency. 1.2 We will provide you with financial protection for any ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday that you buy from Sunsail Limited by way of our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence number 0987, administered by the Civil Aviation Authority (‘CAA’). When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from Sunsail Limited you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong. 1.3 We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable). 1.4 If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claim which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme. 1.5 The price of your holiday includes the amount of £2.50 per person as part of the ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) we pay to the CAA. This charge is included in our advertised prices. 1.6 When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from Sunsail Limited, all money accepted from you by a travel agent acting as our agent is held by that agent on behalf of and for the benefit of the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust at all times, but subject to the agent’s obligation to pay it to us for so long as we do not fail. If we do fail, any money held at that time by the agent, or subsequently accepted from you by the agent, is and continues to be held by that agent on behalf of and for the benefit of the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust without any obligation to pay that money to us. 1.7 When you buy arrangements other than an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday, all money accepted from you by a travel agent acting as our agent is held by that agent on our behalf at all times. 1.8 We will provide you with financial protection for any package holidays you buy from us that do not include travel by air by way of a bond held by ABTA. For further information, visit the ABTA website at www.abta.com. 1.9 If you book arrangements other than an ATOL protected flight or a package holiday, the financial protection referred to above does not apply. 1.10 We are a Member of ABTA, with Sunsail Limited holding membership number Y0732 and Sunsail

96

Worldwide Sailing Limited holding membership number Y4343. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. 2. How to Book 2.1 To make a booking you can contact us in several ways; directly over the telephone, via our website at www.sunsail.co.uk (“Website”), or through an approved travel agent. The person making the booking (the ‘lead name’) must be 18 years old or over and possess the legal capacity and authority to make the booking and accepts these booking conditions on behalf of everyone in their party. Whether you book alone or as a group, we will only deal with the lead name in all subsequent correspondence, including changes, amendments and cancellations. The lead name is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personal details or any other information supplied in respect of yourself and any other person travelling on the booking and for passing on any information regarding the booking or any changes made in relation thereto, to all persons travelling on such booking, including but not limited to information on schedule changes or copies of booking confirmations. 2.2 You will need to pay a deposit to us at the time of booking of 30% of the value of the travel services. You may also be required to pay for any non-transferable and non-refundable items such as special air fares, Yacht Damage Waiver (YDW) and any other applicable supplements due at the time of booking, for example, including without limitation “Accommodation Only”, “Credit Card Fees”, and “Late Bookings”. Some airfares are booked at especially competitive rates to which airlines may attach severe restrictions. You may be asked to pay for these in full at the time of booking and they may be non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Details will be given at the time of booking. 2.3 We will then invoice you for the remainder of the cost due before you travel, which you must pay not later than 10 weeks before departure. To pay your final balance, amend your booking or discuss any other aspect of your holiday booked directly with us, call our Holiday Planning team. When you book your holiday through an approved agent, all communication between you and us will be made through that agent, as such please contact your agent in the first instance, as no changes can be made to your booking unless they are done through your agent. 2.4 If you book less than 10 weeks before departure, full payment (less any payment which must be paid locally) must be made on booking by credit or debit card. If you do not pay the balance by the due date your booking will be cancelled and you will forfeit your deposit plus any other relevant charges. 2.5 We do not accept payment by personal cheque but will accept payment by a building society cheque or banker’s draft. Please allow 5 working days for any cheque to clear. Please note that all payments made on a credit card (whether deposits, part payments or final balances) will be subject to a credit card fee of up to 2% (inc. VAT). 2.6 If we accept your booking, we will issue a Booking Confirmation and Invoice. Subject to section 2.7 below, a contract will exist between us from the date we issue the Booking Confirmation and Invoice or if you book within 7 days of departure the contract will exist when we accept your full payment of the holiday cost. When you receive the Booking Confirmation and Invoice please check the details carefully and inform us immediately if anything is incorrect. Names on travel documents must exactly match those in your passports. Unless we are responsible for the mistake, we will not accept liability if an airline or other supplier refuses boarding because the name(s) shown in your passport differ from those on your ticket. Travel documents will be sent or emailed to you (to the address given to us by the lead name at the time of booking) approximately 2 weeks before your departure, and will not be issued unless payment of the due balance has been received in full. It is essential that you ascertain whether or not you can obtain relevant visas and inoculations before making your booking. We cannot accept any liability for tickets lost in the post. Departure Documents may be in paper or email form depending on your chosen holiday. If requested in the Departure Documents or locally provided holiday information, you must reconfirm the reservations, timings and check-in details of your flight with the airline concerned at least 72 hours before departure. This applies to your outward flight and to your return flight. If you miss a flight or suffer any disruption as a result of not following our instructions as to reconfirmation we will have no liability to you. 2.7 We may not be able to confirm some of our ground / at sea arrangements straight away. In these instances we may issue a Confirmation Invoice, however, the contract for arrangements that we have not been able to confirm will only be made when we have sent you written confirmation that those additional arrangements have been finalised. If there is any change to any of the details discussed at the initial time of booking (before we issued the initial Confirmation Invoice), we will notify you promptly of these changes, including if there is any change to the price. If any of these changes are not

acceptable then you will be entitled to cancel your booking and receive a full refund provided you notify us within 7 days of receiving details of the changes. 2.8 We may be able to advance register your holiday request before the release of airline schedules and relevant yacht fleet. If your booking is confirmed as set out above, the holding fee will be transferred to a deposit. Should the final program not be suitable you can withdraw with a refund of the holding fee or you can move the holding fee to a deposit on an alternative holiday with the Company with no amendment fee charged. A Confirmation Invoice will be issued once flights and or yacht has been confirmed. 2.9 Tourist taxes, resort fees or similar that are charged locally may be implemented or changed without prior warning. We do not accept responsibility for these costs, which must be paid by you and are not included within your holiday price. 2.10 Your personal safety is of paramount importance to us and therefore it is imperative that you advise us at the time of booking of any condition, medical or otherwise, that might affect your or other people’s enjoyment of the trip. 2.11 It is a condition of your booking that you and all members of your party provide certain information that may be sent to governmental authorities and border control and security agencies for the purpose of security and counter terrorism. This is known as Advance Passenger Information, sometimes known as APIS. For the United Kingdom, it may be referred to as ‘E-Borders’. The information you must provide will include, but not be limited to, full name – as shown in your passport or travel document, gender, date of birth, travel document type, number, country of issue and expiry date, and for travel to the U.S., your country of residence and the address for your first night’s stay. You must provide this information to the airline between 6 months and 24 hours before departure. For Thomson Airways flights you can do this by accessing http://eapi.thomson.co.uk or by calling 0844 871 1597. You will need your booking reference number, lead name’s surname and date of departure to access the website. 2.12 We may transfer your booking to another company within our group, but this will have no effect on your holiday arrangements. 2.13 By making this booking you confirm that you and/or members of your crew/party are capable and competent to sail the yacht in the conditions and cruising area of charter in-line with port authority regulations advised at point of sale. As the Lead Name, you are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary documentation for the cruising area. 2.14 If you book via our website or have opted in other circumstances for us to contact you via email, we will communicate with you using the email address you have provided. For example, to provide your e-confirmation, e-ticket, e-cancellation, etc. We will assume that your email address is correct and that you understand the risks associated with using this form of communication. Please note that you may still have to contact us via our call centre or in writing as required in these Booking Conditions. We always prefer to have telephone contact details for customers should we be in a position to need to contact them. 3. Prices, Surcharging, and Air Passenger Duty 3.1 All guide prices we advertise are accurate at the date published, but we reserve the right to change any of those prices from time to time. Prices include a cost for fuel that was estimated at the date of this publication. Prices on our website are updated regularly. In the unlikely event of an administrative error leading to an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct it. Offers are not combinable unless expressly stated and may be withdrawn at any time. All quotations are provisional until confirmed in writing on your Booking Confirmation and Invoice. Before you make a booking we will give you the up-to-date price of your chosen holiday including the cost of any supplements, upgrades or additional facilities which you have requested. We reserve the right to add supplement to non-standard/flexible departure dates and durations in low season. Prices quoted in this brochure are based on exchange rates published by The Financial Times on 11th August 2014. 3.2 Changes in transportation costs, including without limitation the cost of fuel, dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports and exchange rates mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have booked. However, there will be no change within 30 days of your departure. We will absorb and you will not be charged for any increase equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements, which

excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges. You will be charged for the amount over and above that, together with an amount to cover agents’ commission. If this means that you have to pay an increase of more than 10% of the price of your travel arrangements, you may either accept a replacement holiday from us of equivalent or similar standard and price (at the date of the change) if we are able to offer you one or you may cancel your holiday booking and receive a full refund, except for any amendment charges. Should you decide to cancel for this reason, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on your final invoice. If any change in our costs would cause a reduction in your holiday price, we will not make refunds of amounts less than 2% of the price of your travel arrangements, which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges, but we will refund in full amounts exceeding such 2%, after deducting an administration charge of £1.00 per person. However, please note that travel arrangements are not always purchased in local currency and some apparent changes have no impact on the price of your travel due to contractual and other protection in place. 3.3 In all cases, we will only consider an appropriate refund of insurance premiums paid if you can show that you are unable to transfer or reuse your policy. 3.4 Dates and itineraries shown for tours are indicative only and subject to change. 3.5 Air Passenger Duty “APD”, which is payable by all passengers departing from UK airports, is included in the price of your holiday/flight ticket. The price of your holiday will include APD for an economy seat. If you upgrade to a premium cabin this will be included in the upgrade cost. In view of the current volatility of world oil prices, a fuel supplement may be added to the price of your holiday at the time of booking. 3.6 Discounts: Sunsail Loyalty Discount - 5% discount on any Sunsail holiday* which can be combinable with selected offers as identified by Sunsail Long Term Discount - Save 5% when you book yacht charter for 15 nights or more - does not apply to 2 week flight inclusive rates as this discount has already been applied. Group Discount - There are some big savings to be made when sailing in a group as friends, as sailing clubs, universities, and business etc. The discounts are tailored to your group requirements so please contact us for more details. Child Discount - Children aged 12 years and under at the time of returning from the holiday will receive 10% off the per person price, this is not applicable for boat only charters. Discounts do not apply to airport taxes, yacht damage waiver, fuel or any additional holiday services or extras. If You Change or Cancel Your Holiday 4.1 If, after our Booking Confirmation has been issued, you (i) make a change to your existing booking or (ii) or wish to change to another holiday or change departure date, we will try to make the changes subject to availability, provided that notification is received in writing at our offices from the lead name and you pay the appropriate administration fee as set out below.

You may however be able to transfer this cover to another holiday. If you are travelling on a scheduled flight, we cannot give you any refund until we have received your old travel documents, including tickets. Please note that certain costs may be refunded should you cancel the entire holiday (i.e. Yacht Damage Waiver, Yacht fuel supplement, Cruising taxes) before cancellation charges are applied 4.7 All communications relating to this contract (in particular any requests to cancel or amend your holiday arrangements) must be from the Lead Name in writing and in English and sent by email aftersales@sunsail.com(please call also to ensure your email has been received) or delivered by hand or sent by recorded delivery post to Sunsail, DST House, St.Marks Hill, Surbiton, Surrey KT6 4BH 5. If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday 5.1 We reserve the right to cancel your booking or change any of the facilities, services or prices described in our brochures or website. We will endeavour to advise you of any changes known

at the time of booking. 5.2 We plan the arrangements for your holiday many months in advance and may occasionally have to cancel your holiday or make changes, most of which are minor. Flight timings and carriers shown in the brochure are for guidance only and are subject to change. Your Booking Confirmation will show the latest planned timings. Your actual flight timings will be shown on your ticket (including any e-ticket itinerary) which you should check carefully as soon as you receive it. A change of carrier or type of aircraft, change of yacht to one of a similar size (within 2 foot) with the same number of cabins, change or route within a cruising area or change of base where the cruising areas remains the same or similar will not be considered a major change. If a major change becomes necessary, we will advise you of the change as soon as reasonably possible. Whether a change is ‘major’ depends on the nature of the holiday and may include: a significant change of destination, a change of yacht to one of significantly lower standard; a change in time of your scheduled departure or return flight by more than 12 hours (but not a flight delay); or a change of UK departure airport (excluding changes between London airports, London, Ebbsfleet and Ashford stations and between Dover/Folkestone ports). A delay to your flight that we need to make within 24 hours before you are due to depart will not be considered a major change unless the change is for more than 24 hours. These changes are only examples and there may be other significant changes which constitute major changes. When a major change occurs, you will have the choice of either: (a) accepting the change, or (b) accepting a replacement holiday from us of equivalent or similar standard and price (at the date of the change), if we are able to offer you one, or (c) cancelling your holiday, in which case you shall receive a full refund of all monies paid. 5.3 We may also have to cancel your travel arrangements. Operation of some holidays are dependent on a minimum number of persons booking the holiday. If that number is not achieved, we reserve the right to cancel the holiday. However we will not cancel your booking less than 4 weeks before the scheduled departure date except for reasons of force majeure (as defined below), or failure on your part to pay the deposit and/or final balance, or any other reason beyond our control. If we are forced to cancel your holiday after departure we will, wherever possible, make suitable alternative arrangements. If we are unable to make such alternative arrangements, or you reject these for good reason then we will return you to your point of departure and refund you for any unused services, if appropriate. 5.4 Where we make a major change to or cancel your holiday, except where a major change or cancellation arises from circumstances amounting to force majeure, consolidation due to minimum numbers not being attained, failure on your part to pay the deposit and/or final balance or for any other reason beyond our control, we will pay you, as a minimum, compensation as detailed below. Any compensation payable will be on these scales, based on how many days before your booked holiday departure we tell you of a major change: 5.5 This standard compensation payment will not affect your statutory or other legal rights. *We will only make one compensation payment for each full-fare-paying adult in the holiday booking. Any children not paying the full adult fare will receive compensation on a pro rata basis of the adult fare. 5.6 We strongly recommend that you make no travel arrangements to your point of departure, make any connecting travel that is non-refundable or non-changeable or incurs penalties or incur any costs in respect of visas

or vaccinations until such time as your travel itinerary has been confirmed on your departure documents. If you make such arrangements which you are then unable to use due to a change in your itinerary we shall not be liable to you for the cost of those arrangements. 5.7 Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not even with all due care, foresee or forestall such as (by way of example and not by way of limitation) war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, industrial disputes, actual or threatened terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, acts of God, unavoidable and unforeseeable technical problems with transport for reasons beyond our control or that of our suppliers, closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential adverse weather conditions, flood, epidemics, health risks or pandemics illness and any other similar events. 5.8 Under European law (European Community Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004) you have rights in some circumstances to refunds and/or compensation from your airline in cases of denied boarding, cancellation of or delay to flights. Full details of these rights will be publicised at EU airports and will also be available from airlines. However, you should note that reimbursement of the cost of a flight that forms part of your holiday is the responsibility of your holiday airline and will not automatically entitle you to reimbursement of the cost of your travel arrangement from us. Your right to a refund and/or compensation from us is set out in this section 5. If any payments to you are due from us, any payment made to you by the airline will be deducted from this amount. If your airline does not comply with these rules you should complain to the Aviation Consumer Advocacy Panel on 020 7453 6888 or at www.caa.co.uk. 6. Our Liability, Conditions of Carriage and Limitations 6.1 Our obligations, and those of our suppliers providing any service or facility included in your holiday, are to take reasonable skill and care to arrange for the provision of such services and facilities. You must show that reasonable skill and care has not been used if you wish to make any claim. Standards of, for example, safety, hygiene and quality vary throughout the transport and destinations that your holiday may involve. Sometimes these standards will be lower than those which would be expected in the UK. The suppliers of the services and facilities included in your holiday should comply with local standards where they are provided. 6.2 Our liability, except in cases involving death, injury or illness, shall be limited to a maximum of 3 times the cost of your travel arrangements. Our liability in all cases will be limited in accordance with and/or in an identical manner to the contractual terms of the companies that provide the transportation for your travel

BOOKING CONDITIONS

4.3 Subject to section 4.4, where you are unable to travel you can transfer your booking to another person, providing the following conditions are met: a) you must notify us in writing at least 10 weeks before departure and give us authority to make the transfer; and b) your request is accompanied by all original travel documents which you have received and the full name and address of the person to whom you wish to transfer your holiday booking (“transferee”); and c) the transferee is acceptable to us, accepts the transfer and these Booking Conditions and fulfils any conditions that apply to the booking; and d) the transferee confirms that they have their own holiday insurance in place, as your policy cannot be transferred, and the premium cannot be refunded; and e) payment is made by you of an administrative charge of a minimum of £35 per person plus payment of all costs charged or levied by those supplying your travel arrangements. Both the transferor and transferee will be jointly and severally liable for payment of the holiday price and other associated expenses. 4.4 Some airline carriers and other transport providers treat name and departure detail changes, such as date and time changes, as a cancellation. Accordingly you may have to pay for the cancelled ticket and be required to pay for the full cost of a new ticket. Once airline tickets have been issued, all changes are likely to incur the cost of a new ticket. 4.5 When the price per person is dependent on the number of people in the accommodation and the number of people changes, the price will be recosted based on the new party size. Any increase in price payable is not a cancellation charge. A separate cancellation charge will be levied in respect of bookings cancelled. A new confirmation invoice will be issued as appropriate on which the cancellation charge will be shown. 4.6 You, or any member of your party, may cancel your booking at any time providing that the cancellation is made by the lead name in writing. Notice of cancellation will be effective upon receipt by us of your written communication. As we start to incur costs from the time the contract is confirmed we will retain your deposit and in addition will apply other cancellation charges as shown below. These charges are based on how many days before your booked departure we received your cancellation notice. These charges are a percentage of the total cost of your booking, not including your insurance premium. If you want to cancel one or more passengers on the booking you will have to pay a proportion of the applicable cancellation charge based on the number of passengers you wish to cancel from the booking:

arrangements. These terms are incorporated into this contract; and any relevant international convention as detailed below. We are to be regarded as having all benefit of any limitation of compensation contained in these or any conventions. You can ask for copies of the transport companies’ contractual terms, or the international conventions, from our offices at Sunsail, DST House, St Marks Hill, Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 4BH. 6.3 We shall have no liability where the cause of the failure to provide, or failure in, your holiday or any death or personal injury you may suffer is not due to any fault on our part or that of our agents or suppliers, because it is either attributable to you, or attributable to someone unconnected with your holiday and is unforeseeable or unavoidable, or is attributable to our employees, agents, subcontractors and suppliers and their staff whilst acting outside the scope of their employment, or is due to information, however obtained, from outside sources such as independent third party websites, or is due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised, or an event which neither we, nor our agents or suppliers could have foreseen or forestalled, or related to any consequential loss not directly connected to the contract with us. 6.4 If any international convention applies to, or governs, any of the services or facilities included in your holiday arranged or provided by us, or provided by any of our suppliers, and you make a claim against us of any nature arising out of death, injury, loss or damage suffered during or as a result of the provision of those services or facilities, our liability to pay you compensation and/or the amount (if any) of compensation payable to you by us will be limited in accordance with and/or in an identical manner to that provided for by the international convention concerned (in each case including in respect of the conditions of liability, the time for bringing any claim and the type and amount of any damages that can be awarded). International Conventions which may apply include, without limitation: in respect of international air travel, the Warsaw Convention 1929 (as amended) or the Montreal Convention 1999; in respect of rail travel, the Berne Convention 1961; in respect of carriage by sea, the Athens Convention 1974; in respect of carriage by road, the Geneva Convention 1973; and, in respect of hotels, the Paris Convention 1962. For the avoidance of doubt, this means that we are to be regarded as having all benefit of any limitations of compensation contained in any of these Conventions or any other international conventions applicable to your holiday. Other than as set out above, and as is detailed elsewhere in these booking conditions, we shall have no legal liability whatsoever to you for any loss or damage.6.5 If you purchase any optional activities that are not part of your pre-booked itinerary, the contract for the provision of that activity will be between you and the activity provider. The decision to partake in any such activity is entirely at your own discretion and risk. If you do have any complaint about, or problem with, any optional activity purchased in resort your claim should be directed to the activity provider and not to us. However, should you or any member of your party by misadventure suffer illness, injury or death during the period of your holiday from an activity which does not form part of the arrangements made by us or an excursion purchased through us, we shall, where appropriate and subject to our absolute discretion, try to help if we can. We may help everyone on your booking up to a total cost of £5,000,as long as the following conditions are met: (a) you must ask us for such assistance within 90 days of the misadventure; (b) you must make a claim under your insurance policy’s legal expenses or other appropriate section. You must show us proof that your insurance company has received your claim; and (c) in the event of there being a successful claim for costs against a third party or a suitable insurance policy or policies being in force, you must repay us the costs actually incurred by us in giving this assistance. 6.6 We may operate holidays in regions where standards of accommodation, transport, safety, hygiene, medical facilities and other infrastructure may, at times, be lower than those you normally expect. The outline itineraries given for each holiday must be taken as an indication of what should be accomplished, and not as a contractual obligation on our part. Changes in itinerary may be caused by local political conditions, flight cancellations, mechanical breakdown, weather, border restrictions, sickness, or other unforeseeable circumstances. Pro rata refunds will be given for services not utilised wherever possible. 6.7 In the event medical care becomes necessary on your holiday, you may be hours or days travel by water, or other non-vehicular transportation from any medical facility. The medical facility you may be treated in may not have the same standards as hospitals or doctor’s offices in your home country. The medical personnel you will be treated by may not speak fluent English and have the same training as medical personnel in your home country. You further acknowledge that an emergency evacuation may be unavailable and delayed at your vessel location, and that the medical facilities and attention available aboard the vessel are limited. Decisions are made by our staff based on a variety of perceptions and evaluations of the situation at hand. You

are local times based on the 24-hr system. 6.12 A Sunsail Flight Inclusive Package Holiday includes a flight, a transfer and a boat. We will book seats from our committed flight programme. If this allocation is full we can arrange additional seats to be booked on the same flight subject to availability. Please note that additional seats may incur a supplement on your flight inclusive package price as the cost of airline seat can increase during the season. Should you wish to book alternative flights we can assist for all our destinations and we will book these directly with the airline. We have preferential rates with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic and both these airlines are our preferred carriers to the Caribbean. If you are choosing to book alternative flights, we strongly recommend you book early to guarantee the best airfares and availability to suit your holiday requirements. 6.13 Please check with the airline regarding luggage allowance limits and the maximum allowable single item baggage weight. If you have a medical condition, serious illness, recently undergone surgery, or have suffered a recent accident, you must advise us and your airline and you may need to be cleared for travel by the airline which will involve obtaining a Fitness to Fly Certificate from your GP. 7. Complaints 7.1 If you have a complaint about your holiday whilst away, you must immediately notify our local representative and the relevant supplier of the service and contact us in the UK if further action is required by us. If you are not happy with their action taken in response please follow this up within 35 days of your return from holiday by writing to our Customer Relations Department at Sunsail, DST House, St. Marks Hill, Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 4BH or emailing us at customer.relations@tuimarine.com, giving your booking reference and all relevant information. We will acknowledge your written notification within 7 days and aim to provide a full response within 28 days. We can usually sort out any complaints you may have. If we cannot agree, providing the dispute fits within the rules of the scheme, you can use the Arbitration Scheme devised for the travel industry by ABTA and administered independently. This is a simple way of sorting out complaints and there are limits on the costs you might have to pay. You do not have to appear in person, but can send documents to explain your complaint. Details and application forms are available from ABTA, 30 Park Street, London, SE1 9EQ. If you prefer, you can take your complaint to the County Court or another suitable court. Information regarding complaints may be shared with other tour operators. 8. Details of Insurance 8.1 Adequate and valid travel insurance is mandatory for all clients while on one of our holidays. You are strongly advised to insure yourself against any possible risk that may occur and in particular to ensure that you have sufficient insurance in respect of dependent relatives and force majeure events. You are required to carry proof of insurance with you and produce it if reasonably requested by Company employees or suppliers. 8.2 Please ask for details of the appropriate comprehensive policy we can offer to you to cover all activities included in our itineraries and the featured optional extras. Please note, however, that the policies we offer may not cover you for any activities you purchase that are not pre-booked nor featured in official Company literature. If you choose not to take out our insurance you are responsible for ensuring that you are in possession of travel insurance for the entire duration of your holiday in respect of at least medical expenses, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, with cover/benefits equal to/greater than the insurance we offer. If you make your own insurance arrangements, you must ensure that there are no exclusion clauses which limit cover for the type of activities included, or the altitudes attained, in your holiday. understand and agree to abide by these decisions. 6.8 Please note that the timings of air, sea, road or rail departures are estimates only. These timings may be affected by operational difficulties, weather conditions or failure of passengers to check in on time. 6.9 Flight Notice, Flight Information & EU Blacklist This is a notice required by European Community Regulation (EC) No. 889/2002. This notice cannot be used as a basis for a claim for compensation, nor to interpret the provisions of European Community Regulation (EC) No. 889/2002 or the Montreal Convention, and it does not form part of the contract between the carrier(s), us and you. No representation is made by the air carrier(s) or us as to the accuracy of the contents of this notice. Air carrier liability for passengers & their baggage: This information notice summarises the liability rules applied by European Community air carriers as required by European Community legislation and the Montreal Convention. Compensation in the case of death or injury: There are no financial limits to the liability for passenger injury or death. For damages up to 113,100 Special Drawing Rights (“SDRs”) the air carrier cannot contest claims for compensation. Above that amount, the air carrier can defend itself against a claim by proving that it was not negligent or otherwise at fault. Advance payments. If a passenger is killed or injured, the air carrier must make an advanced payment, to cover immediate economic needs, within 15 days from the identification of the person entitled to compensation. In the event of death, this advance payment shall not be less than 16,000 SDRs . Passenger delays: In case of passenger delay, the air carrier is liable for damage unless it took all reasonable measures to avoid the damage or it was impossible to take such measures. The liability for passenger delay is limited to 4,694 SDRs . Baggage delays: In case of baggage delay, the air carrier is liable for damage unless it took all reasonable measures to avoid the damage or it was impossible to take such measures. The liability for baggage delay is limited to 1,131SDRs. Destruction, loss or damage to baggage: The air carrier is liable for destruction, loss or damage to baggage up to 1,131 SDRs. In the case of checked baggage, it is liable even if not at fault, unless the baggage was defective. In the case of unchecked baggage, the carrier is liable only if at fault. Higher limits for baggage: A passenger can benefit from a higher liability limit by making a special declaration at the latest at check-in and by paying a supplementary fee. Complaints on baggage: If the baggage is damaged, delayed, lost or destroyed, the passenger must write and complain to the air carrier as soon as possible. In the case of damage to checked baggage, the passenger must write and complain within seven days, and in the case of delay within 21 days, in both cases from the date on which the baggage was placed at the passenger’s disposal. Liability of contracting and actual carriers: If the air carrier actually performing the flight is not the same as the contracting air carrier, the passenger has the right to address a complaint or to make a claim for damages against either. If the name or code of an air carrier is indicated on the ticket, that air carrier is the contracting air carrier. Time limit for action: Any action in court to claim damages must be brought within two years from the date of arrival of the aircraft, or from the date on which the aircraft ought to have arrived. Basis for the information: The basis for the rules described above is the Montreal Convention of 28 May 1999, which is implemented in the European Community by European Community Regulation (EC) No. 2027/97 (as amended by European Community Regulation (EC) No. 889/2002) and national legislation of the Member States. 6.10 In accordance with European Community Regulation (EC) No. 2111/2005, Article 9, we are required to bring to your attention the existence of a ‘Community list’ which contains details of air carriers that are subject to an operating ban within the European Community. The Community list is available for inspection at http://ec.europa.eu/ transport/modes/air/safety/air-ban/. 6.11 In accordance with European Community Regulation (EC) No. 2111/2005 we are required to advise you of the actual carrier operating your flight/ connecting flight/transfer if your booking includes flight(s). We do this by listing carriers to be used or likely to be used which are Monarch Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Liat, Thomson Airways, Easyjet and British Airways. The airline may use wide and narrow-body jets. Any changes to the actual airline after you have received your tickets will be notified to you as soon as possible and in all cases at check-in or at the boarding gate. Such a change is deemed to be a minor change. Other examples of minor changes include alteration of your outward/return flights by less than 12 hours, changes to aircraft type, change of accommodation to another of the same standard. Some flights may need to stop en route. If we know about this in advance we will tell you. Flight times shown in the brochure, on the website and on your booking confirmation are not guaranteed. Actual flight times are shown on your tickets. Flight times

8.3 Furthermore, if you make your own insurance arrangements, you must advise us of the details of your own insurance including the name of the insurer and the policy number as soon as possible. Our representative abroad has the right to see the policy so that appropriate advice and assistance can be given. In the event that you fail to provide us with the correct details of your own insurance as soon as possible or at all, you will be liable to us for any loss we incur as a result of your breach of this condition and any such costs will be redeemable from you. 9. Yacht Damage Waiver & Security deposits 9.1 For all sailing holidays featured by us, you will be required to provide cover against accidental damage

or loss to the vessel and ancillary equipment and either pay a Security Deposit at the base or purchase Yacht Damage Waiver as further detailed below. 9.2During the booking process you will be provided with the option of either purchasing Yacht Damage Waiver or paying a Security Deposit as set out below. You will not be able to proceed with your booking unless you agree to one of the options and by asking us to confirm your booking you are agreeing to comply with the content of this section and make any required payment. Option 1: Yacht Damage Waiver If you choose to purchase the Yacht Damage Waiver this will be added to your booking. You will be provided with the cost of purchasing the Yacht Damage Waiver during the booking process which will be added to your overall holiday cost. In addition, you will be expected to pay a sum of between £1,000 and £2,000 (or equivalent in local currency), depending on the size of your boat, as damage deposit upon arrival at the yacht base. The damage deposit will be taken prior to embarkation and if you do not pay we reserve the right to cancel your booking without further liability and without any right to a refund and you will not be entitled to continue with the charter. Option 2: Security Deposit If you choose to pay a Security Deposit you will be asked to pay a sum of between £2,000 and £4,000 (or equivalent in local currency), depending on the size of your boat, as Security Deposit upon arrival at the yacht base. The Security Deposit will be taken prior to embarkation and if you do not pay we reserve the right to cancel your booking without further liability and without any right to a refund and you will not be entitled to continue with the charter. Please note: Customers who have acquired their own Yacht Damage Waiver via a third party will be required to pay the excess amounts listed under Option 2 upon arrival at the base. 9.3 The Security Deposit payable under Option 1 or Option 2 can be paid in cash, by debit card or credit card (please note that a 2% charge is payable for credit card transactions). 9.4 The Security Deposit paid under either Option 1 or Option 2 will be used as security for any loss or damages suffered by the Company as a result of any breach by you of these booking conditions and any damage caused to the yacht or its contents during the period of your arrangements. You cannot apply or deduct any portion of the damage deposit from the final balance payable for your travel arrangements. You will be asked to sign a form before embarkation confirming that you fully understand your obligations in the event of any loss or damage to the vessel, ancillary equipment or third party property. 9.5 On return of the yacht to the base following the charter period and following inspection of the yacht by our base staff, in the event that we are satisfied that there is no apparent damage to the yacht on its return from you, our base staff shall, where applicable, refund the relevant damage deposit/ Security Deposit paid by you (please note that Yacht Damage Waiver monies will not be refunded) to you as soon as reasonably possible. 9.6 In the event that we determine that accidental damage or loss was caused to the yacht and/or its contents during the period of your arrangements, you will be liable to us for all losses and damages incurred by us as a result except if you have purchased Yacht Damage Waiver in which case the extent of your liability will be the value of the damage deposit paid. In the event that we determine that damage or loss was caused to the yacht and/or its contents during the period of your arrangements as a result of your gross negligence or reckless conduct, you will be liable to us for all losses and damages incurred by us as a result. In both instances we reserve the right to retain, where applicable, part or all of the relevant damage deposit paid by you. We may use all or part of the damage deposit paid by you to repair any damage caused to the yacht or its contents during the period of your arrangements, including without limitation the costs involved in lifting the yacht for a full inspection to

assess the damage to the yacht. 9.7 Retention of the damage deposit/Security Deposit will not in any way limit or prejudice any claim which we may have over and above the sum of the damage deposit/Security Deposit paid by you where (i) you decided to take Option 2 and pay the Security Deposit; and/or (ii) the loss or damage was caused or contributed to by your gross negligence or reckless conduct and in these circumstances you will remain liable to us for the balance of any such losses or damages incurred by us over and above the sum of the damage deposit paid by you. In the event that the losses or damages suffered by us as a result of any breach by you of these booking conditions and any damage caused to the yacht or its contents during the period of your arrangements is less than the relevant damage deposit/Security Deposit paid by you, we shall refund, as relevant, part of the damage deposit/ Security Deposit paid by you to you as soon as reasonably possible after the damage has been repaired or the repair costs have been ascertained. In the event of any disagreement over damage or loss, we shall retain the relevant damage deposit/ Security Deposit paid by you until the matter is resolved. Please note that if (i) loss or damage caused by your gross negligence or reckless conduct is in excess of the level of the damage deposit; and/or (ii) loss or damage caused by you is in excess of the level of the Security Deposit if you decided to take Option 2; we reserve the right to pursue a claim against you for the full extent of our loss. 9.8 For the avoidance of doubt, where we make any refund to you of the relevant damage deposit paid by you, any Yacht Damage Waiver fees also paid by you will not be refunded. 9.9 Customers choosing to participate in sailing regattas will be required to pay a non-refundable race supplement in advance plus an additional Damage Deposit payable at the base for rigging or collision damage. This is payable by credit or debit card in addition to the relevant Yacht Damage Waiver. All clients planning to participate in a sailing regatta are required to obtain prior consent from us. Please call the sales team for more details of the individual Regattas available and the relevant terms associated to each. Please note the race supplement is a charge omitted from any discount. 10. Visa, Health, Passport, Travel Documentation 10.1 It is essential that you ascertain whether or not you can obtain relevant visas and inoculations before making your booking, particularly for late bookings. Whilst we are able to provide basic advice to clients regarding passports and visa requirements, you should check with the appropriate embassy, consulate or the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office for the exact requirements for your chosen holiday and date of travel. 10.2 Please note that for some trips we need to request special permits, and as such we will require your passport details prior to accepting your booking. Furthermore, if you renew your passport after you have booked, you may be required to take your old passport with you to maintain the validity of the permit. 10.3 We are able to advise on mandatory health requirements; however, we are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice at least two months prior to travel for the latest health requirements, recommendations for your destination and any costs. You should check this information at least 2 months before departure and again within 14 days of travel. Where you do not do so and either are not allowed to enter any country, or suffer personal injury or death as a result, we have no liability to you for any cost, loss or damage which you suffer nor will we refund you the cost of any unused portion of your travel arrangements. Clients with existing medical problems, pregnant women and anyone who has recently visited other countries should check requirements with their general practitioner. 10.4 When assessing whether holidays will operate we use information from our local offices in conjunction with advice from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and other relevant government bodies. It is your responsibility to

damage property, you upset, annoy, disturb, or put any other traveller or our staff or agents in the UK or abroad in any risk or danger, on the telephone, in writing or in person. 12.2 We cannot be held responsible for under age consumption of alcohol. 12.3 Animals, restricted items and illegal goods will not be permitted on board. Upon such termination our responsibility for your holiday ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you. Please note animals are not permitted on board your Yacht. 12.4 If the Captain of your flight, skipper of your yacht or any of our marina staff or agents believes that you could be disruptive or that you are suffering from a contagious disease, they can also refuse to let you proceed with your travel arrangements, restrict your movements on board, disembark you from a boat or aircraft, or remove you from your accommodation or excursion. 12.5 If you are disruptive and prevented from boarding your outbound flight in the UK, we will treat your booking as cancelled by you from that moment, and you will have to pay full cancellation charges (see section 4). If this occurs overseas then you will become responsible for your own return home and any other members of your group who cannot or will not travel without you. We will not be liable for any refund, or compensation or any costs or expenses you incur. 12.6 If you are refused carriage because of your behaviour, or you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, your airline may pass on your details and date of the refusal of carriage to other airlines for their information. This in turn may make it difficult for you to book other airline tickets. In any of these circumstances no refunds or compensation will be paid to you and we may make a claim against you for any damages, costs and expenses (including legal expenses) incurred as a result of your behaviour including but not limited to (i) repairing or replacing property lost, damage or destroyed by you, (ii) compensating any passenger, crew, staff or agent affected by your actions and (iii) diverting the aircraft for the purpose of removing you from the aircraft. Criminal proceedings may also be instigated. 12.7 For the purposes of this section reference to “you” or “your” includes any other person in your party. 13. Your Yacht accommodation 13.1 Any yacht or other accommodation we arrange for you must only be used by those people named on your Confirmation Invoice or on latest Amendment Invoice issued). You are not allowed to share the yacht or let anyone else stay on board. You are responsible for the cost of any damage caused to your yacht or its contents during your stay. These charges must be met by you and may have to be paid locally. 14. Special Requests 14.1 We will consider special requests such as vegetarian meals, airline seats when you book. We will tell you whether there is a charge for the request. We can only guarantee requests for which there is a charge, or those that are confirmed in writing. It is your responsibility to advise us of any special requirements. We regret we cannot accept any booking which is conditional upon the fulfilment of a particular request. 15. Participation Requirements 15.1 All clients are expected to satisfy themselves prior to booking that they are fit and able to complete the itinerary of their chosen holiday as described in this brochure. 15.2 Unaccompanied passengers under the age of 18 years need a letter of consent to travel alone from a parent or legal guardian. The minimum age of unaccompanied travel is 16 years of age on the date of departure. 15.3 Anyone suffering from mobility impairment, illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any medication or other treatment which may be required during the holiday. Failure to make such disclosure will constitute a breach of these booking conditions and result in such persons being excluded from the holiday in which case all monies paid will be forfeit. 15.4 Under European law, if you are disabled or have difficulty moving around, you can receive assistance when you fly. This free service is available to anyone with mobility problems, for example, because of their disability, age or a temporary injury. 16. Law & Jurisdiction 16.1 If you booked your holiday in any jurisdiction other than in Scotland or Northern Ireland (including any booking via the internet), this contract, and any other claim or dispute arising from or related to this contract, will be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of it. If you booked your holiday in Scotland, this contract, and any claim or dispute arising from or related to this contract, will be governed by Scottish law and the courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of it. If you booked your holiday in Northern Ireland, this contract, and any claim or dispute arising from or related to this contract, will be governed by Northern Irish law and the courts of Northern Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of it.
