Bus Backs - Mega Rears Mega rear advertising is a powerful way to reach motorists, pedestrians and passengers in the city. They offer maximum exposure in order to showcase your brand and product. Mega rears are effectively a huge moving billboard out on the roads. The design can cover the whole of the rear of the bus including the windows. Portsmouth is currently the most densely populated city outside London, and with a growing population currently standing at approximately 200,000, including over 22,000 students, there has never been a better time to advertise with us. By choosing our mega rears, your brand will be seen by commuters, shoppers, tourists, students, parents, residents and businesses on one of the major routes through the city. Not only will you gain exposure at peak commute times, but also during football match days, major events such as Victorious, and Christmas shopping periods. The bus route, which operates the 11 minute daily journey from the Park and Ride site, starts at junction 1 of the M275 which carries 80,000 vehicles per day, driving via the city centre and finishes at the Hard interchange which is also the stop for Gunwharf Quays and the Historic Dockyard where they get a footfall of 10 million visitors per annum. 4 digital advertising opportunities We have 4 digital advertising opportunities and for each advertising option you can choose from a Premium or Standard package but you can choose different booking lengths: weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly. The further you book the higher the discount you will receive Premium Package: 4x adverts played an hour of 30 seconds in length or 2x adverts played an hour of 1 minute in length. Standard Package: 2x adverts played an hour of 30 seconds in length or 1x advert played an hour of 1 minute in length. Example: If you took a Premium package for the 4x4 video wall and wanted 4x 30 second adverts an hour that would equate to: 2 mins an hour; 38 mins a day; 266 mins or nearly 4.5 hours of advertising per week.

4x4 ‘Video Wall’ Suspended from the ceiling to the rear of the internal Interchange building, direct route to the Harbour train station and ferry ports we have a 4x4 (each screen is 46”) video wall, equating to a 92” overall screen size with a 16:9 ratio. BBC news or Sky New bulletins will be shown when not displaying advertising with a maximum of 25% advertising time. Full motion with sound. The display is HD and can handle a 4k feed which substantially increases the quality of the video shown on the screen. Videos should be sent in any of the following formats: .mpg (recommended), .mov, .mp4. Videos must be 15 seconds, 30 seconds or 1 minute in length, exactly. Departure TV Screens There are 9 departure screens with a 16:9 ratio. 6 out of the 9 stand displays are available for advertising above the bus departure doors which have seating situated underneath for people waiting for buses or onward connecting travel. Full motion, no sound. All content must be sent no longer than one week prior to your campaign going live. Videos should be sent in any of the following formats: .mpg (recommended), .mov, .mp4. Videos must be, 30 seconds or 1 minute in length, exactly. Departure information will remain on screen at all times. This takes up to a third of the 55” screen. 4 - Outdoor (Big Screen) About the Screen: The big screen is a highly profile, engaging asset in a very prominent position within Guildhall Square. It’s the only advertising opportunity in Portsmouth that can offer both sound and video to promote your business, offer, product or service. The footfall through the guildhall square last measured at 125,000 per week. Local content from production companies, events in the square, television listings drives audiences to watch the screen which drives eyes to engage with your campaigns. Within our hourly schedule, we display 6 advertising breaks, each lasting 4 minutes. We show these exactly at 06, 15, 26, 26, 45 and 56 minutes past the hour. The big screen Portsmouth operates from 7am to 11pm. A recent study suggested that it was better for the screen to offer advertising only content between hours 9pm - 11pm. So our new schedule now reflects this, offering your advertising within a rotation for the evening economy audience, each day.
Technical Specification: All content must be sent no later than one week prior to your campaign going live. All images must be 1024 (width) x 576 (height) pixels and sent as a .jpeg. 7 - Outdoor - vehicle 8 - Outdoor advertising (Sponsorship for (Despatch vehicles) events) Our fleet of 9 despatch vehicles operate citywide throughout the day, along main roads, schools and local communities, giving you the opportunity to advertise wherever we go! There are two options, either a vinyl wrap or advertising on the panels.
