Petroglyph Hike, Gorge Discovery Museum

Take an archaeological journey on a Ranger-guided hike in the Horsethief Lake area of Washington's Columbia Hills State Park. View the petroglyphs & pictographs at this National Historic Site, including Tsagagalal, "She Who Watches". Afterwards, we'll have lunch in the Dalles & visit the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center to learn more of the history, flora & fauna, & Native American culture of the Columbia Gorge. Set in the fire-lit replica of a Kwa'kwaka'wakw ceremonial house, the living history performance consists of dramatic narration & dance presentations of traditional Northwest Coast ceremonial masks.
