A GREEN COMPANY Porcelanosa proves its solid environmental action with a management system certified according to ISO 14001, the most recognized standard worldwide. We constantly invest to improve our depuration systems, the management of the generated waste, and the capacity to recycle raw materials and energy to avoid environmental deterioration. These are some of the actions that we take to preserve the environment: • Packaging: Porcelanosa uses recycled cardboard to package its products. Our boxes use the minimum amount of cardboard required to protect the product. We recycle the plastic wrap leftovers as well as our broken pallets.
• Energy: We turn the heat generated during our production process into electricity delivered to power the rest of the production plant. Also, the heat from the kilns is canalized to the drying chambers in order to reduce the energy consumption. • Pollution: Porcelanosa uses filters to reduce the proportion of the dust emissions, being well under the maximum established by the Kyoto protocol. We have five water purifiers to reutilize the water and avoid polluting. We also use long lasting oils for our machinery and non toxic glaze.
