he places I used to fish, were those of my geographical area (Appennins in the center of Italy) and it’s characteristics where almost the same, small rivers, with a lot of vegetation all along the riverbanks. Trouts always feeding in very difficult places. So to be able to catch these fish in those very difficult conditions and in order to avoid loosing 50 flies each day in the surrounding trees, my casting style developed under the following rules. The italian casting style is based on light tackles (short rods no more than 7’6� and light lines #2 or #3) and fast action rods.
