FYI POLICE BLOTTER Bainbridge Police reported the following incidents: Sunday, Dec. 23 10:23 p.m. A father and daughter had an argument at their residence on Eagle Harbor Drive. The father got angry when their dog spilled a glass of wine he had placed on the floor. The daughter tried to calm him down and eventually told him to shut up, tapping him on his cheek. The father then slapped his daughter very hard, according to the daughter. She slapped him back. The father suffered a bloody nose. He then grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her into her room and onto her bed. The father then walked off to cool down. When police found him he said he had too much alcohol and that it contributed to the events of the night. He denied placing his hands on his daughter and was shocked that she slapped him. Thursday, Dec. 27 10:27 a.m. Mail and a package was taken from a mailbox on Cedar Street and tossed into a ditch. The package was opened but the items were left inside. 2:28 p.m. Mail stolen from mailboxes as well as packages from a home on Ferncliff Avenue were found scattered on the roadside on Hemlock Avenue. 4:31 p.m. A home on Dolphin Drive was burglarized. Someone pried open a window to gain access to the home while the family was out of town for the holidays. Two mens’ watches, two women’s watches, $150 in cash, an unknown amount of coins, four designer bags and three pairs of women’s jeans were taken. Friday, Dec. 28 2:51 p.m. A man living on Ellingsen Road complained to police that people were driving into his driveway. 11:05 p.m. A dirt bike was stolen on Homestead Lane. It did not have license plates. Saturday, Dec. 29 9:55 p.m. Police were dispatched to a home north of Wing Point Way after someone called 911, said “hi” and then hung up. When officers arrived they were greeted by a woman who immediately started yelling that she was not drunk. The woman continued to yell so much that it was difficult for officers to understand the situation. Eventually, officers were able to discern that the woman was complaining that her husband bent her right wrist back to stop her from turning the volume up on the radio. Officers could smell alcohol on the woman as she yelled. When they spoke with the husband, he told them that the couple had dinner in Seattle and he didn’t notice how much his wife had been drinking. The husband said when they arrived home, his wife suddenly got angry and began playing the radio loudly. They argued over the volume of the radio, and at one point he pushed her hand away from the volume. Officers also spoke to the couple’s daughter who told them that her mother started yelling for no reason and screaming that she wasn’t drunk as she marched through the house. The woman then told officers that her husband had to pay for everything that he had done. She said that she previously had to go to jail for something that was not her fault, and now it was his turn. Officers could not find any signs of an assault. The husband agreed to go to a hotel that night.
