Pandora’s Box Quality Pet Products We at Pandora’s Box and Wet Whiskers thank you for your almost 30 years of patronage and look forward to another 30! Marge started it all in her basement all those years ago. Husband, son and daughter were soon drafted into the operation and now the grandchildren are sucked in. Jenny stopped by to visit on the wrong day and we kept her, Corinne was a customer who we co-opted and Chad’s mother sent an email asking if anyone could use her son – that was 4 years ago! Our most sincere thanks for all you have done for us. 7BTIPO )XZ 48t

Amy Wolff–Vashon Central I’m Amy Wolff, founder of Vashon Central: A Temp Service and Resource Network. I started this business to serve the Vashon-Maury community and to nourish our economy. Vashon Central is a hub to connect you with the LOCAL service providers you need. I check references and conduct an extensive interview with everyone who lists with Vashon Central. And, I listen carefully to you in order to give you the best referrals to fit your specific needs. Referrals are FREE (service providers pay a fee to be listed.) You get great, dependable services while supporting Island businesses. Everybody wins! I’ve lived on Vashon for 30 years and making connections is what I do. I love to network, I’m passionate about “keeping it local, and, at Vashon Central, I’m filling the need for a place where Islanders can come to learn about the multitude of services and businesses available here. Next time you need help, give me a call at 463-2222. I’ll find the right person for your job. I can help you SHOP LOCAL too. Vashon-Maury Island Chamber of Commerce The Vashon Maury Island Chamber of Commerce is an independent association serving the Vashon-Maury Island business community. We are Hestia Retreat’s Circle of Directors. Founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2011, we are part of a much larger group working to create a women’s retreat on our island. This retreat, named after the Greek goddess of the communal hearth, sanctuary, and deep center, will be a dedicated place where all women can come year round for a solo retreat, to take part in a group workshop focused on fostering growth and well-being, or to develop community with others. We are committed to the belief that time away from one’s everyday life allows people to bring back more of themselves to that life and the others in it, just as ancient peoples brought the communal flame of Hestia to light their own home fires. Learn more about Hestia Retreat or join our efforts by contacting Cofounders Valerie Manusov (valerie@hestiaretreat.org) or Pam Bredouw (pam@hestiaretreat.org) or visiting our website: hestiaretreat.org. Join us for our second annual Women’s Day of Wellness: Fuel Your Flame on Saturday, May 4. www.hestiaretreat.org
