Preservation North Carolina, founded in 1939, promotes and protects the buildings and landscapes of our state’s diverse heritage. Preservation NC utilizes several methods to protect properties and landscapes, like its award-winning Endangered Properties Program, which acquires endangered historic properties and then finds new owners to rehabilitate them. It also cares for several stewardship properties throughout the state.
