Giving back to their community is nothing new for Cedar Club – Knights of Columbus Council #4767. Through community events and activities, they raise funds to support many charities in need. In recent years, Surrey Memorial Hospital has been the recipient of more than $110,000 for the purchase of specialized surgical equipment; and to fund a Horse Therapy Program supporting youth with mental health challenges. The Cedar Club is setting an example of how hard work and dedication can make a difference to the community where they live. ‘Beat the Winter Blues’ contest for teens at Surrey Libraries: “Love to write stories or songs? Have an eye for art and design? We’re accepting three types of entries (Song lyrics: 500 words or less, song lyrics or poetry on a winter theme), Super-short story (500 words or less, with the story taking place in winter) and Book cover redesign (Design a book cover for a book you love).
