ASKED DOWNTOWN

What have you done to “go green?

The property at 310 Main Street exempliďŹ es the spirit of this award in providing an attractive, clean, and well-maintained street scape that welcomes visitors into each of its retail shops.

Dan Taylor Fitness Trainer The kids are now learning to separate recycling. We periodically go down to the creek and pick up trash and pretend it’s a treasure hunt. And we’re trying to get our son to take showers that are less than 30 minutes long. That seems to be our biggest struggle.

The “NEAT Neighborhood Environment Attractiveness Team award is designed to highlight a particular downtown building or property that has been improved or that is considered unique in design, architecture or style.

Marlene Fourcand Nurse Everything. We’re trying to do everything we can to be greener. We don’t throw away bottles, we recycle, and other things, too. Important but basic stuff.

Investor Lots! We try to compost, use the green can. I do what the Pleasanton Garbage does, separate my trash and using all the bins. I try to bring my own coffee cup to Tully’s in the mornings. I don’t use plastic water bottles anymore, just the metal water bottles. And I try to eat a lot more natural foods.

Services include internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, urology, radiology and laboratory; minor ofďŹ ce-based procedures performed

Marketing We’ve separated our trash and made sure we’ve put our vegetables and things in the green can. We also drive less. I take the ACE train to work every day now instead of driving.

Paris Altez-Lee Student I recycle bottles! My family eats more organic food, and my parents take their clothes to a green dry cleaner. If people don’t help out and help the earth, it’s going to suffer.
