NONCOMPETITIVE, FLEXIBLE, FUN, AND FREE!

REGISTRATION

Registration for all ages opens May 27. Register online at temple.beanstack.org or in-person at the Library. Did not register on the 27th? No problem! Anyone can register at any time during the Summer and still earn prizes!

HOW TO EARN PRIZES

Ages 0 – 3

Read to your infant or toddler for 15 minutes each day.

Collect a new prize each week, starting June 5.

Ages 4 – 11

Read on your own or with someone for 30 minutes each day.

Collect a new prize each week, starting June 5.

Ages 12 – 18

Read for 30 minutes each day.

Collect a new prize each week, starting June 5.

Adults

For every book you read, earn a badge and an entry into the grand prize drawing. For every three books you read, pick up a prize from the Adult Services desk on the 2nd floor.

REMEMBER

This is for fun! Read what you like, choose topics you are interested in, and always feel free to stop reading a book you do not enjoy. Just remember to pick up a new one to replace it!

SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM

June 1–July 28 | Library 3rd Floor | McLane Room

In partnership with Temple ISD, the Temple Public Library will be open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday for children 0 – 18. Parents may purchase plates to eat.

THE SINGING ZOOLOGIST

Lucas Miller, better known as “The Singing Zoologist”, has been literally singing the praises of wildlife since graduating with a degree in Zoology. His zany humor, smart songwriting, and unbridled passion for science inspire his fans, young and old, to respect and protect the natural world. Ages 5-11

Adaptive Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga. It is accessible to everyone, in all bodies. It centers around using a chair, wheelchair, or other mobility device to bring a practice to both your mind and body.

We live in a politically polarized world. A part of that polarization concerns the government of America, and how it functions. Too often, we forget how (and why) our government was created, and what it is supposed to do. Throughout 2023, we will read the fundamental writings of American government, and try to get a better understanding of how our country works. Ages 18+
