Ladies on the golf course Last week Saturday Tubatse Chrome Golf Club held a free ladies golf clinic. The aim of the day was to help those who would like to learn the game, or who can already play, but need a bit more confidence and guidance. The club would like to develop the ladies and junior golf to eventually also enter teams in the league games or be able to play friendly competitions with neighbouring clubs. Seven women attended the morning’s activity.
They learned how the putt in a straight line. They also had some coaching in hiting the ball with the correct posture and drift. Each woman had her turn to hit 60 balls from a bucket. This turned the course into somewhat of a driving range, but I was all for a good cause because most of the women quickly got the hang of it. The Club provided them with lunch and would like to invite them and any other golfing enthusiasts to join the club and make use of the clinics to enhance your play.
The Juniors will have a golf clinic on 1 and 2 April. All young boys and girls are welcome. To book your spot contact Martin van Rooyen on 082 816 4833.
