Publisher’s Note Hey Ya’ll, Welcome to the premiere issue of Placebo Magazine. Dreams can become reality! It has been a long dream of mine, for many years, to have a hard copy published. As an avid collector and reader WN UIOIbQVM[ 1¼U M`KQ\ML \W XZM[MV\ \W aW] W]Z ÅZ[\ Q[[]M ?M _QTT JM SQKSQVO \PQVO[ WNN Ja KMTMJZI\QVO Street Art in Austin, TX. <PM \MZU ;\ZMM\ )Z\ ZMNMZ[ \W IZ\ KZMI\ML WZ LQ[XTIaML QV X]JTQK 7ZQOQVI\QVO NZWU OZINÅ\\Q Q\ KIV JM a simple aerosol tag, wheat paste poster, yarn bomb, complex installation or much more. This art can be considered a beautiful masterpeice or ugly vandalism. Great Street Art should be aesthetically pleasing, inspire or at least have a socio-political component. I have compiled a shortlist of photos I have taken from 2009 to 2013. Being an artist myself I have a great respect for the artists featured in this issue and have tried my best to give proper credit. Some of the artists are unknown to us. We are aware some artist may choose to remain anonymous due to legal issues. If this is not the case and your work has been featured or you know the artist please shoot us an e-mail. Austin’s art scene is on the rise and living out loud. I hope you enjoy!! Best, XO
