PIEDMONT has four societies on its campus -two for women and two for men. These societies, being formed shortly after the foundation of the college, have had a great part in its growth and development. They have sponsored dances, parties. and many other worthwhile entertainments. Candidates for these societies are obtained by an invitation to membership, which is given to the new students. Upon his acceptance, the candidate is installed into one of the societies. The installations are events to which the old members look forward. Most PIEDMONT students are affiliated with one of these societies.
