ronald Hunter

is an artist who is fascinated by texture and

the layering method. “I can still see a small yellow dot from a poster from six months ago, buried under two faded orange leaflets; the leaflets themselves also covered by a large stenciled poster with a blue bird. The layers of “street wall posters” fascinate me - with their random shapes and colors, created by accident. Together they form a work of art. Something I also want to reflect in my own work. You might recognize some of the layers of color in the artwork.”

Jada’s abstract works are inspired by the abstract expressionist movement. Using the principles of color field painting that was first popularized by Mark Rothko, Jada’s palette is subdued in luscious teals. Her composition uses rich texture and bold brushstrokes.

Ruth Palmer

was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, Palmer

now resides in Calgary, Canada. While her primary influence is spiritual, her art is also influenced by the richness of Manet’s impressionist works and what she deems “the colorful play and balance” of Kandinsky’s. Like Kandinsky, for whom spiritual influences counted heavily, there’s a certain intentional separation with Palmer’s art that allows viewers to participate in creating the artwork. The disunion is repaired when the painted form connects to the viewer’s soul. Ruth’s works are extremely popular in print, particularly in the design market and hospitality industry.
