www.peoriaaz.gov Late spring/early summer is a perfect time to use the mountain hiking trails and river multiuse trails throughout Peoria that intersect with nearby cities and towns. While the activity in these areas increases, please remember to be courteous to all trail users so that everyone can enjoy the experience. Trail etiquette dictates that hikers and pedestrians yield to horseback riders, and bicyclists yield to pedestrians and equestrians. Please keep your dog on a leash and clean up after all pets.Trail courtesy and safety is a priority that everyone has a hand in.

As we all know, 2.5 hours per week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity combats a whole host of health issues as well as helps to control weight gain. But some days, it seems that reaching those 10,000 steps can be quite boring. Why not visit the Rio Vista Recreation Center and, with a day pass, bike indoors for 30 minutes. Or take a brisk walk around the paths at Pioneer Park. Or join a softball league at Rio Vista Community Park. Find out more information about all these activities and more inside this brochure. Don’t be one of the 79% of U.S. adults who don’t meet government exercise guidelines [Source: USA Weekend].
